What a nice comment! Thanks so much for letting us know. We would love to know specifically how you are benefitting. Thanks again for the encouragement.
Tai, Amazing content. Just subscribed/Joined. Watched the first few videos and looking forward to the rest. Had some auto cad experience decades ago in school, but havent' touched it since. Picked up a CNC router (long mill 48x30 ). Couldn't figure Fusion out for the life of me until going through the first few videos at pace with Dan. Now I've designed and cut a few "2.5d"/3d parts out but need refinements to my understanding of the tools and options. Would love if you'd go through your approach to modelling a cabinet, perhaps with dado assembly, and how to set that up in CAM to cutout on the CNC. Flattening it to fit on the plywood stock etc. Adding how to do drawers, and fancier joinery would be excellent add ons as well.
Hello John! Thank you so much for your encouraging comment! Much appreciated. Super happy that you have found this tutorial series beneficial. We hope you have downloaded the Udemy course for free as part of your member privileges. We have so many ideas in mind for future tutorials and your suggestions have just added to our desire to make those tutorials. All we need to do is find the time. Your support is certainly one way of helping us get there. Thank you so much! Hope you enjoy our other tutorials too. All the best with your learning!
Thanks for putting these videos together. I went through the first 4 videos (sometime multiple times) but when I just came back to do more review and go to video 5 they were all gone except for the first in the series. As I really like how you were teaching Dan and how honest he was with his troubles with Fusion (like me) I want to continue with the course. I went on the Udemy and I must be past the 100 to sign up as the cost is $14.99 Canadian. Hmmm. Well, it helps if I read the instructions. I'm good to go.
So glad you found us and finished day 1. Yes, the rest of the course can be found on Udemy. The link can be found in the description below. We made a coupon for the first 100 to get the course for free, but that has expired now. We will offer some more deals from time to time, so stay tuned.
Hi there... So I went looking for day two and I see that it's a paid course. While this is something I've been steering clear of, your pace/style and depth has me considering it. QUESTION: My interest is building things to 3D print, not CMC. Based on "Day 1" and most of the overview, it appears that the two mostly are aligned, and it's the end that seems to steer harder into the CMC world. Would a wanna be 3D modeler benefit from this course?
Thanks for your inquiring more. The first 6 hours of the course are directed towards the CAD (design) side of Fusion. The final 2 hours are directed towards the CNC side of Fusion. The final 2 hours also have some troubleshooting when it came to some problems that Dan faced while designing a wrench. So, most of the course is me teaching Dan CAD. Hope that helps!
Ok. The first video's teaching pace and style was compelling enough for me to pull the trigger. After I complete this course, I'll follow up and 1) Let people know my thoughts. 2) see what other similar courses exist... with a focus on modeling for 3d printing. :)
