Nah, what about the Leylands and Malcolm Douglas?? I'm luck I met my heroes and they're were great blokes too - all I did different was do it all in the same old truck...
John Rooth, You bring a smile to my face mate with your stories and the way you tell them with you just being you. It's been an absolute pleasure meeting you on numerous occasions. Cheers Cobber. Stevo
what we were in the Wild West , and then lost sight of , you still are. common sense became rare in all other parts of the world , Ive noticed its flourishing Down under. not just flattery, hold what you are and be proud of it, im in the west U.S. ,and we moved quickly on from wide horizons to crowded suburbs, be thankful for the roughness of your land , I believe it kept you true as a people, to being grounded and in touch with reality.
Don't forget the TV show Matlock Police....great Australian drama!! Great video again Roothy in my backyard....I really enjoy the fact you have a real feeling for the history of places like Matlock and Woods Point. I have worked with a mutual friend Clinton Maynard on radio and he loves your stuff !! Well done mate and more please!!
Remember Woods Point well. Me and a mate rode out of Walhalla late one arvo in 1989 after the first Phillip Island GP. Rode into the late freezing night on a VFR750 and GPZ750R. Arrived very late at the pub. Sat by the f iure drinking Jack's till we set up camp in the Bush.
Gday John. Cracking bit of country that. Cheers for during the history. Hey, it was great to see you at the Screaming Jets concert in Gympie. Hooroo for now.
Matlock is my families home town in Derbyshire England. Lovely video. Your winter camping looks like all camping in the UK! Who makes your body warmer John, I have always admired it. Anyone can answer that one.
Built not bought. Is that your saying roothy ??? There’s a little fluffier getting around with his little episode called that name, built not bought.…. Sam I am 😂
As much as I respect you and your choices, Your vehicle would piss in getting across that stream, as a Kiwi I would walk it no trouble, but it didn’t need it. Totally crossable
Roothy, not only are you the original 4x4 man, you're the 4x4 pioneer of Australia mate. We love ya. Keep it rocking' !!!
