Roothy, love your work.! Inspired by you sticking to your fundamentals and creating a new channel and DVD series. Keep working and inspiring all us hacks out there to get amongst it and hit the dirt. Adventures are what keeps everyone interested. Keep it coming.
Hi John Been following your build I just new it would end up being a well put together rig Hope you have many great adventures together Also well done to all who helped to build milo2 Excellent work
Awesome that you came along Roothy. Awesome to see my yellow LS1 SWB got a quick pass in a Roothy Video. I need Milo in a Sporty 40 video too. Go the 40!.
Sporty 40 your truck is looking good as always mate. Disappointed I missed this trip, but my builds are slowly getting there. I know you don't drive her a lot, but how do you find the fuel economy?
around 16L/100k's on the road and 22L in the bush. Got a gearbox problem so will be shelved while the other build are concentrated on and will look at later this year.
Looks awesome and have been watching all along, but feel like i've missed something. Last video I watched you where sorting out the snorkel and now BAM, your in the High Country.
Looks great. Had the Federals before, great tyre. not sure about the air cleaner. How about mounting it behind the cab? Chuck the spares in the gap and it will look much better.Well done Roothy.
Geez, you can really see the effects of the chassis flex in how much the roof top tent moves around in relation to the cab. It'll be good once the spares and tanks are in place to fill that gap.
Oh, man I'm glad I found this channel. I remember watching one video a little while ago, I loved watching the ol rig. Such great content and some real off roading! I'd love to hear a review on them tires, as I have been looking at them to buy, but no worries. I will be watching many many more of your videos. Looking forward to see how milo 2 compares to the original ol girl...cheers mate!
Milo looks fantastic, i watched the total build but I missed the Rooftop tent bit, great team effort, is the tail pipe ok close to the battery? Enjoy the truck you deserve it
Hey roothy! I'm curious, if someone were to embark in on the journey of which you have done rebuilding the old girl. How much money roughly would one have to set aside for it? 30k? 40k? Cheers
Are you going to have the spare wheels in a enclosed toolbox setup behind the cab and in between the tray of the 40 series, it's looking real sharp there Roothy
Roothy take Milo 2 to New Zealand and check out the South Island of New Zealand 4x4 driving. That would be a fantastic trip and diesel is cheaper over there.
You must be real happy to get it all together. its gonna be a long time before i get my build up finished. Good work and here is to years of good service.
I hope Roothy does fill that area in with some kind of aluminum storage box, or water tank or whatever. It looks kind of weird like that and a waste of room. It's also a better position to carry weight, as it's between the wheels and further to the middle. Nice vehicle though. I would like to see it in the flesh someday.
Love the progress on the truck but IMO having the tray that far back does not look good. Way too much rear over-hang. Having a space for the spare wheel directly behind the cab may have some advantage but seriously compromises the looks.

Awesome build John! Hope to see more videos of Milo 2 adventures.
Absolutely fantastic. Wishing I was back in Australia doing a bit of travelling in my toyota. Hello from Germany.
Watched this from the start absolutely loved watching the build, hope you enjoy the rig mate, not too bad for a cruiser
Milo 2 is a great looking rig, also digging all the other 40 series as well.
Awesome that you came along Roothy. Awesome to see my yellow LS1 SWB got a quick pass in a Roothy Video. I need Milo in a Sporty 40 video too.
Go the 40!.

Milo's looking Mint!
Awsome can't wait till I get my first car
I love 40 series
Love Milo 2 👍 But repaint the canopy doors green, as there is to much white in the rear making it look odd!!
Roothy! you have driven past my house twice now! you gotta stop next time you come by love to meet you mate!
Milo looks fantastic, i watched the total build but I missed the Rooftop tent bit, great team effort, is the tail pipe ok close to the battery?
Enjoy the truck you deserve it
Love to see it mate. Maybe looks better if u paint u rims flat black or white to be more classic 40 series looks.
Roothy, you should look into doing a TV show like the Leyland brothers did with Milo 2
Coming together. I am looking forward to seeing it with the tank and spares in the gap. BTW what is happening to Milo 1 now?
Love old trucks. I drive a cj10
I've heard if you fit a throttle spring from an auto HJ61 it will dampen the throttle response and stop the kangaroo hopping going on :)
What happened to the troopy body..?? Why the change to a ute cab..?
And ya mate is driving a diesel wagon...60 or 61 (not 62!) ;-)
Hey roothy!
I'm curious, if someone were to embark in on the journey of which you have done rebuilding the old girl. How much money roughly would one have to set aside for it?
30k? 40k?
Cheers
yeah, not to sure about that snorkel, the green submarine,up perescope.
Are you going to have the spare wheels in a enclosed toolbox setup behind the cab and in between the tray of the 40 series, it's looking real sharp there Roothy
There will be spare wheels and a long range tanks mate, but not enclosed.
roothy
mate ive got a hj47

Yes mate the OCKA is an annula event, contact them through their Facebook page.

you have some contact details ?

cheers
Hey roothy did u get any footage of the troopy with the aluminium side with fold out beds
Roothy take Milo 2 to New Zealand and check out the South Island of New Zealand 4x4 driving. That would be a fantastic trip and diesel is cheaper over there.
Sean Zappulla Hell yea. I'd love to see Milo 2 here in New Zealand. Come to Otago!
Does the hi flow intake/snorkel setup have any noticeable performance gains Roothy?
Yes mate, I can feel the 12HT breathing like a trooper!
Nice to see it all together. Are you gonna put spare wheels in the hole in the middle?
Yes mate along with a long range tank.
You must be real happy to get it all together. its gonna be a long time before i get my build up finished. Good work and here is to years of good service.
At last!
How's the heater work and where's the exhaust flap
Hey Roothy, whats the sound like inside the cab with all that deadening, worth it?
For sure mate, I can have a conversation, well I will when I put a passenger set in :)
Love it roothy. But just 1 question. Whats going between the cab and the tub/canopy
Long range tanks and spares mate.
JOHN ROOTH awesome cant wait to see her fully finished
Love the truck Roothy!! Wanna swap? hahaha
Will you take milo 2 in low rang?
love everything about milo 2 except that snorkle and donaldson setup, can see it getting wiped out by a tree branch in no time.
Why such a big gap between the cab and the tray??
Jimmy Obrien spare wheels
are you planning a bog box or storage between the cab and the tub ?
I hope Roothy does fill that area in with some kind of aluminum storage box, or water tank or whatever. It looks kind of weird like that and a waste of room. It's also a better position to carry weight, as it's between the wheels and further to the middle. Nice vehicle though. I would like to see it in the flesh someday.
JACK DILLON FILM spare wheels mate
He said 2 spares and a long range.
What's with the huge gap?
Ready for the long range tank and spare wheels, coming soon!
hope you 2 are coming to adelaide
We will be there mate.
Woohoo! Another reason to go down into town :)
All LC's need a sun visor.
Love the progress on the truck but IMO having the tray that far back does not look good. Way too much rear over-hang. Having a space for the spare wheel directly behind the cab may have some advantage but seriously compromises the looks.
what will you be doing with milo 1 now
Probably going to start a long rebuild project on Milo 1, there are plenty of adventures still to come I reckon.
I miss my HJ47 shouldn’t have sold the beast
Sorry but the tub doesn't suit it, even if you put spares in the gap.
Ridiculous rear overhang putting strain on the chassis.
Not at all mate, it is a 47 series chassis and the tub finishes right at the end of it, so no stress at all. Cheers
wow.....you completely ruined that truck
