Yep, made it this far. Last September I started ticking off the Wainwrights after inspiration from your channel. It’s an extremely costly hobby as I live in Belfast! Although I am a long term visitor to the Lake District. I’m up to 43 wainwrights and my favourite to date is Helm Crag. Thanks for all your hard work.
Can't imagine stopping one of your videos before the end, much too captivating. 22:55 Surely before your time? I've actually been watching some nostalgic episodes of The Six Million Dollar Man recently, Finn would have made a fine addition to the cast.
Stunning magnificent view. Enjoyed evefy second as i sit here with my dogs in my warm bedroom😂😂. But i watch all your videos as im a Northern lass living in Kent...this is my all time fell too. Thank you.
No location known to man compares with the English countryside especially in the north. This measured look at the terrain is edifying and also important for folks to get motivated by history and British culture.
My top 3. 1. The Crinkles 2. Dale Head 3. Grisdale Pike When I walked Green Crag and Harter Fell, it wasn’t a very pleasant day weather wise. I think the weather conditions definitely contribute to how u feel about a particular fell. Keep up the good work 👍
Excellent Glenn - Finn seems like the perfect companion, quiet, enthusiastic, and photogenic to boot! Mine used to roll like that, sure sign of a happy dog.....
Only just got around to viewing this, thanks, another great video and I did get to the end, as always with your videos. Don't worry about them getting longer, they're always a joy to watch, many times better than mainstream TV.
Hi Glen, I'm still exploring the lakes, not got a lot to choose from, so faves so far are Glaramara, Pillar, crag hill. Keep the blogs coming you're my inspiration
Loved that! I have to say. When I'm asked about favourites....not easy! I LOVE Helvellyn but that's 30 years of visiting in every season. ...but Blencathra, Scafell Pike, Old Man area.... Wherever you go. It just sublime. Long time since I was on Harter felll. I need to get back! Great vid 👍
That was one hell of a beautiful vid . Wife and I thoroughly enjoy them, but we are in our 70 ‘s and cannot no longer manage long walks. Give Fynn a big from us 🤗👍
This vid was something special, just lovely to watch. The views and drone footage were breath taking and Finn is just an absolute sweetheart. Really well done, thanks Glenn.
Low Fell - best view in the Lakes, imo. Wetherlam - the sum has everything: the way up; up top; and on the way out, if you do a full circuit. Great Gable - I mean, come on! Honourable mention: Blea Rigg - surrounded by beauty, and a moonscape in the red light of dusk
Great route Glenn My fav fells - Great Gable - Harter Fell (Esk) - best wild camp views ever - sunset etc - Binsey - small but with the summit and views of a giant!
My 3 favourites are: Helm Crag - What it lacks in height it makes up for in features and the amazing view into Grasmere. Harter Fell - Like you said the views towards the Scafell Range and over the fort. Kirk Fell - Amazing views of Scafell and the Wasdale valley
Another great video. Been over in the Langdale today and completed my first mountain walk in over 17 years. Following your route: Pike Howe, Pavey Ark, Thunacar Knott, Harrison Stickle, Pike of Stickle and Loft Crag. Legs are absolutely ruined now, but loved every minute. Thanks for the motivation.
Great walk, that view off Harter is sensational. Not done every Wainwright yet but so far my favourites - Wansfell Pike Glenridding Dodd Bowfell Look forward to seeing more walks soon. Thanks for the inspiration. 👍
I have only made it as far as to go along with you via video. No finances to come across the pond and do any of these walks. Beautiful views today and wonderful weather for this hike. Really nice to see Finn as well. Thank you. - Ontario Canada.
One of my fav fells is black crag spent a good couple of hours all alone on a very sunny morning around 6am the other 2 are pavey ark and haystacks love the walk up to haystacks. the videos can be as long as you make them gives me time to chill and watch the stunning views
Oh my, Thank You so much, Glenn, and Finn, for such a lovely stroll through the fells. So happy you had such a nice day for it, and that you both had a fell-top nap. LOL As for my favourite three, each one I've seen has its' own merits, so I guess I like them all. We don't have this kind of terrain in Ontario, so they all look magical to me. 💙
Loving the long form content, it really is like we’re out there with you. I’m almost at the stage where I’m making up some butties to have when you sit down to eat.
Definitely watched it to the end. Such beautiful, scenic, views, who would want to cut that short? Great to see the Famous Finnious out and about with you again.
Such a lovely chilled video. The solitude up in the hills looks like bliss. I wish I had the knowledge to know where I can and can't walk in the lakes, I'd just end up lost! haha
1. Loughrigg 2. Eagle Crag 3. Dale Head Difficult though they will change with the exception of Loughrigg. It’s where my journey began, no where finer to romp on a summers day and when walking from Ambleside to Grasmere the last min view from the terrace over Grasmere could make me cry.
Hey Glen once again amazing vlog, great to see Finn myster again and that the weather behaved for you giving incredible views . My Favs Helvelyn, crinkles, Bowfell Cheers 👍
Top three: A big one - Scafell Pike. So much of it, so many routes, total contrast between the equally magnificent Wasdale and Eskdale sides. A medium one - Whiteless Pike. A stairway to heaven straight from the pub in Buttermere. A small one - Loughrigg. A whole mountain range in miniature.
Another corker Glenn! Great to see the Finnmeister back at it as well. Think he'd get on reet well with my Henry, also featured heavily in me own films from the fells. Keep up the awesome content! Tom
Another awesome video! That roman fort was really cool to see. Nice to see The Finnmeister out and about again too. And I'm not gonna complain about the videos getting longer either - just means I've got more amazing content to watch!
Fantastic walk this one, roman Fort was excellent, especially the drone footage from it. Great shout out for your oldest subscriber. Another great watch.
Not done many wainwrights yet, all of the northern fells and bits and bobs from the others. But of the few I've done so far: 1 - Blencathra 2 - Castle Grag 3 - Carrock Fell (such an interesting summit) Love your videosA
Green Fell Looks worth a visit. My favorite three , Great End , Bowfell and Holme Fell , and for outlying fells Humphrey Head every time. I lasted that long 😅 Love the route chosen. Finn certainly looked pooped at the end. Thank you .
I made it too buddy , just love these yomps of yours. It brings my times up there roaring back !!!! Fave fells ? Blencathra over sharp edge, helvellyn sharp edge up, swirral edge down, and great gable , thanks buddy.
Top 3 fells. 1. Scafell. 2. Lingmell. 3. Harter Fell. But if I have a subs bench and dramatic weather, they would be 1: Great Calva. 2. Blake fell. 3. Lingmoor. Weather always plays a staring role I find.
Wonderful walk, nice to see you're finally getting a bit of spring. Not sure about my top 3 walks but for me you can't beat the classic Helvelyn route, up Striding Edge and down Swirral Edge. Also think that Plaice Fell on the other side of Ullswater is very underrated
Your videos pull me in every time, stunning scenery & great knowledge as always. The drone shots are awesome. Great company with Finn. I climbed Scafell Pike last week and will definitely visit again soon.
I think we've talked about favourite fells out on the fells some time ago. Like you, I flip between Harter Fell and Bowfell, so they're definitely joint 1st. Third is a little harder but Blisco and the Crinkles are up there, as is Great End or Gable. Or Pillar. I've just realised how hard the "what are your 3 favourite fells" question is 😂
Thank you for taking us with you on another wonderful walk. I think cats bells, crinkle crag and hartafell are my favourite ( hope I spelt them correctly ). Gorgeous views, great music, so relaxing. Then the fun of the planes. And best of all, Finn to boot.
Not sure about specific fells as favourites, but fave walks include Haystacks from Buttermere (incl walk around the lake, Newlands Round and High St from Mardale Head (incl Harter Fell and Kidsty Pike).
Yeah made it this far, brilliant video Glenn and good to see the finmeister. Not done thay many but my top three fells (so far) are Harrison Stickle, Gowbarrow and Cat bells, enjoyed them all and the views were stunning 👍
Hi Glenn. At the moment I would say I don't really have a favourite fell or place yet, I am still adventuring around. Having said that I do have a longing to get back to the langdales again. Wild camped at stickle tarn and loved it.
Love your videos , especially the drone videos ( I’m a drone photographer) . Definitely inspired me to get back to the lakes , haven’t been for a few years.
I made it to the end of your video. I know it's not the thing to do but I like all of them that I have walked to with you, sometimes with Finn on your beautiful videos. Let me think about it.
110% with you. I’ve always walked the Peaks and not made the Lakes since being a kid. Planning a trip this year, love the videos !! Thanks to you and Fin
What another beautiful video. So glad you were able to get the drone up this time…stunning views! When I can’t be there, this is a great alternative. Thanks Glenn. Ps. Finn is the cutest walking partner 😊
Yes watched the whole thing. Top 3 fells is a really hard choice. Maybe Pike o'Stickle for the view across Mickleden. Kirk Fell for the evening solitude on long Bob Graham Round recces. And High Stile/ High Crag for that gorgeous ridge between them?
Enjoyable vlog thanks, mafe to the end. I've done all the Wainwright's, so it's the views for me now and photography. 1) Loughrigg, I do live in Ambleside, so my go-to. 2) Lingmoor 3) split between Haystacks and Sheffield Pike.
So glad I come across your channel. Beautiful views and a lovely companion. Arthritis in my knees has put a stop to me getting out and about like I used to. Thanks for taking me along.
What a wonderful video full of interesting facts, humour, and just awesome scenery 🙂. Love wee Finn adding that extra little white fur ball on screen too such a good girl. I laughed at the Hardknot pass and memories of tackling that bend on a Honda Fireblade with little steering lock and worse still the leaning Cambre in the road wee heart stopping moment at the crux of the bend just glad I wasn't in a camper van 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Love watching your videos and sharing places I never knew existed Thank you and we do watch because you make them great.
Very enjoyable as usual Glenn. You do a really professional job with your videos; it’s wonderful what can be achieved by one person (and a lovely little dog).
The music, the views, the sounds, and that guy that follows you around. Keep up the wonderful video Finn!! ❤
Yep, made it this far. Last September I started ticking off the Wainwrights after inspiration from your channel. It’s an extremely costly hobby as I live in Belfast! As the actress said to the Bishop, we do like it when it's longer........
really enjoying all of your stuff Glenn. Thanks mate.
Would love to see a video from Finn’s perspective. Seeing what she sees and smells!
Thank you.
Three favourites: Dodd (Buttermere), Dodd (Lorton), Dodd (Ashness). Keep up the good work.

The sound of freedom.
My top 3.
1. The Crinkles
2. Dale Head
3. Grisdale Pike
When I walked Green Crag and Harter Fell, it wasn’t a very pleasant day weather wise. I think the weather conditions definitely contribute to how u feel about a particular fell. Keep up the good work 👍
The longer the better.......better than TV!
Excellent Glenn - Finn seems like the perfect companion, quiet, enthusiastic, and photogenic to boot! Mine used to roll like that, sure sign of a happy dog.....
Your little dog looks like Snitter, one of the heros of Richard Adam's thrilling lakeland novel The Plague Dogs.
Only just got around to viewing this, thanks, another great video and I did get to the end, as always with your videos. Don't worry about them getting longer, they're always a joy to watch, many times better than mainstream TV.

My fav fells
- Great Gable

In a pinch you can tuck earlobes into the sides of a baseball cap to give a measure of protection from the sun.
My 3 favourites are:
Helm Crag - What it lacks in height it makes up for in features and the amazing view into Grasmere.
Harter Fell - Like you said the views towards the Scafell Range and over the fort.

Hi Glen, i done this route on Tuesday and what a hike it was, thanks for all that you do.
Loving the long form content, it really is like we’re out there with you. I’m almost at the stage where I’m making up some butties to have when you sit down to eat.
My top 3 fells are Bowfell, Fairfield and Yewbarrow. They always change though! I love Great End too! Thanks for another epic video!
Definitely watched it to the end. Such beautiful, scenic, views, who would want to cut that short? Great to see the Famous Finnious out and about with you again.
Excellent hike! The views are amazing. The panoramic from the summit was beautiful. I liked them all.
Always make it to the end. 😊
My favorite three fells make an odd trio. 1) Grizedale Pike; 2) Catstycam
; Great Gable. Great video again. Thanks Glen
Grizedale Pike almost made it into my top 3, if Glenn had asked for a top 5 it would been in at no.4.
Such a lovely chilled video. The solitude up in the hills looks like bliss. I wish I had the knowledge to know where I can and can't walk in the lakes, I'd just end up lost! haha
1. Loughrigg

One of my favourite summits
Scoat Fell, Place Fell, and I have a real soft spot for Bowscale Fell.
I loved every moment of that one. Cat Bells, High Raise and Kirk Fell. Thank you.
