This is what the Internet was supposed to be. I can sit in Florida, USA and travel the world. Great people make some phenomenal ride- alongs that we may never see for ourselves. A simple like and sub as thanks for the trip seems too little. Safe travels and keep it up.
This brings back memories for me. Several years ago we visited England and drove to Scotland and I believe this was the road we took. We drove through Glencoe. WE visited the castle and we stayed in a place across from Locke Ness. We drove around the Locke and back down. Old Man of Storr was absolutely Beautiful. I felt like I was home. I have a little Scottish, Irish in me. We didn't go to Isle Of Skye. We were with my husband's boss and his wife at the time and he was always in a hurry. So we didn't get to go. I would have loved it all. So much I wanted to see, but didn't get to do.
That was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! You could feel the joy in your soul throughout the journey. Be glad to be back there again with you. Thanks for sharing!!
My husband and I visited Portree but didn't have enough time to see the Old man of Storr. It was amazing to see it looming out of the mist, it looked mystical, almost like a cathedral. The drone shots above the clouds and the coast line were smashing.

Love Skye... was hoping you would have walked up to Camasunary beach from Elgol... I saw the old bothie I stayed at in 2009. We hiked up the coast from Elgol and had a fab night there.. seeing the b roll at 1:01:24 with Sgurr Na Stri in clag to the left of the bothie brought back memories. If or when you go back mate I highly recmmend a hike up to the beach - you will be at the foot of Blaven and won't be disappointed. As ever wonderful episode.. I don't comment much these dasy but with it being your 1st forray up there I need to say something.. a smile on your face tells me you will be back. atb Al

First time watching your channel. Loved it and you are one funny guy! I was hoping for some good light and photos of the castle in the beginning but the ending was serendipitous, you got the SHOT! My sister and I are coming to Scotland for the month of September 2023. We are Scottish and just want to take in all the countryside. We'll be doing some hiking and lots of photography. Bit late getting to this video but really pleased you came here. Elgol is probably my favourite place in the whole of the UK, the view across Loch Skavaig to the Cuillins on a clear day is sensational. The boat trip across to Loch Coruisk takes you into the heart of the mountains across the bay, passing a seal colony on the way. Another trip goes to the gorgeous little island of Canna, I saw deer, wild horses and dolphins that day ❤ It’s a stunning place 😊 Another wonderful place on Skye is the Fairy Pools on the west side of the Cuillins in Glen Brittle
Funny laugh out loud moments ‘cheeky bastard’…and …‘van jams’, I had said to myself seconds before ‘what are van dams’ and you answered me 😂. Absolutely epic footage of a beautiful location 👍🏻
I think the Old Man of Storr should be taken as in the fog...it has a mystical quality to it and it made me catch my breath...honestly it was literally breathtaking. Beautiful as it was I don't think it matches the Lake District...still the most beautiful place on earth for me. The castle was beautiful and atmospheric...it felt like a vampire should have been flying around it! I have to say greedy as I am those fish and chips are battling with the tower of eggs and black pudding with what I will have tomorrow...I am in bed and absolutely starving now! The pictures you take are the best I have seen anywhere and my heart literally skips a beat when I look at them. I am unable to travel at the moment so thank you so much for doing these videos, and bringing these wonderful images to me - I will certainly become a member soon when I am earning again.
Just stumbled across this one, honestly, one of the most beautiful videos I've ever seen. I wentvto Skye for the first time recently and it has stolen my heart. I'm planning some winter wildcamps up there, and on Rannoch moor (walking in from Bridge of Orchy). You might want to investigate that walk too, it surrounds you in mountains and the vast barren but beautiful moorland. 🖤

At 73yrs of age you are taking me to places where I could never visit, but with your calm relaxed description and superb photography I feel that I am with you experiencing the fantastic scenery of Scotland. Next year we are planning to take our caravan to Fort William and you are giving me ideas of where to visit and filling in places of where we could not gt to.

That last pic of the castle is incredible pal we went to Skye twice last year tried to wild camp on sgurr na stri opposite the cullins but ended up just off it and coral beach camped too old man storr we only parked in the car park as it was so busy heading back end may again it’s a very very special place thankyou for a lovely video 👍🤙👏

Saw the Old Man about 2-3 weeks ago now. Amazing site even from the road. I swear he was playing games with me as every time I tried a decent picture, the whole thing would be covered in clouds. Got back on the road and he would pop back out again.

Hi there. I just stumpled upon your channel while watching my favourite hillwalking channels. It brings back memories of my recent four and a bit months trip to Scotland. I took up hillwalking seriously this year in spite of having visited Scotland almost every year for over twenty years. I stayed in a few different areas but my trips to Skye and Uists and of course Glencoe gave me the best hillwalking experiences. Nice to be able to revisit a few of the places through your excellent camera work. 😃 PS: One reason they were a bit hostile to your stay at the roadside in Glen Etive might be that you are not supposed to park in a passing place - hint the sign is in your video @8:16 😉 PPS: I've now subscribed to your channel 😁

I totally got the Prometheus comparison. All that primordial terrain does resemble Iceland which is where a lot of the cooler location shots were filmed. Although, saying that, the archaeology scene at the beginning of the film was actually shot on The Isle of Skye!

I love Scotland's landscapes, only come across your vlogs while browsing hairy moments and saw you in the bad wind in the lakes, three of us where in snowdonia some years ago and we where pinned to the floor by a pole because of the wind as it snapped two guylines. Should set up a camera and do a time lapse of the stars. I have two adult children I want to take away for a sky at night camping trip as being in the Midlands we don't get to See what's really out there. Keep vlogging mate I've enjoyed watching 4 of them with a few beers tonight.

Hi just also wanted to add I see your in Grange Over Sands. My family mum brothers sister in law nieces and nephews have some great memories of there. We'd go to Lake land Caravan holiday park near there and Cartmel for a holiday. With tokens collected with the Sun newspaper. We visited a place called Holker Hall. We loved it down there. If you ever go back to Skye and Portree there's a nice little place in Portree called Cafe Arriba. It's a nice place to go for some food, coffee and cake.

We went to Elgol last August. Took a boat trip to Canna. Elgol and Canna among favourite places on earth. So special.

I totally got the Prometheus comparison. All that primordial terrain does resemble Iceland which is where a lot of the cooler location shots were filmed. Although, saying that, the archaeology scene at the beginning of the film was actually shot on The Isle of Skye!

I love Scotland's landscapes, only come across your vlogs while browsing hairy moments and saw you in the bad wind in the lakes, three of us where in snowdonia some years ago and we where pinned to the floor by a pole because of the wind as it snapped two guylines.
Should set up a camera and do a time lapse of the stars. I have two adult children I want to take away for a sky at night camping trip as being in the Midlands we don't get to See what's really out there.
Keep vlogging mate I've enjoyed watching 4 of them with a few beers tonight.

Hi just also wanted to add I see your in Grange Over Sands. My family mum brothers sister in law nieces and nephews have some great memories of there. We'd go to Lake land Caravan holiday park near there and Cartmel for a holiday. With tokens collected with the Sun newspaper. We visited a place called Holker Hall. We loved it down there. If you ever go back to Skye and Portree there's a nice little place in Portree called Cafe Arriba. It's a nice place to go for some food, coffee and cake.
