    Video isn’t too bad for a first one. Some tips:
    You’re talking to us, so look at the camera more as though you’re presenting to us.
    You can also shoot some “B-roll” of the items and drop some of those shots in with your chatting and go back and forth.
    Overall not too terrible for a first video.

    A custom water cooling loop can be super quiet. Mine it is, and water cooling is much better for the CPU and GPU lifespan.

      @@ShandidyTechTips It all depends, my first 13900k CPU failed, 2nd cpu after RMA is just fine
      Bandwagoning for any brand is bad though
      AMD had quite a few issues with 7000 series, from 0.1% dips, to stutters of 7950x3D
      My Ryzen 7950x was dipping into 12 fps in Insurgency Sandstorm, while 13900k would dip to 62, and that's with RTX 4090
      Pretty big difference
      Threadripper is not for mere mortals, and that CPU is supposed to be good, if you are dropping more than 1200 USD on it.
      Also both 7950x and 13900k beat out AMD Threadripper 7960x in games by about 50 fps, while AMD Threadripper 7960x beats them out in rendering.

      @@gamebenchmarks9715 been using Intel since the 486 days, it is not the same company anymore, simply put I switched to AMD since 2017 and never looked back or even missed intel, I bought an Alienware x17 r1 and did a bios update on it on to mitigate a security flaw, lost about 25% of performance after the bios update, I think it was spectre, the laptop was never the same it stutter like no ones business when I called dell they said its because this bios is for intel cpus affected by spectre and you can’t roll it back, as I said now a days Intel is pure garbage and I would avoid at all cost this is coming from a guy who use to buy intel products since 1986 when my dad gave me his apricot qi 300 all the way to the i7 5820k, then I decided to give intel a second chance when I bought my Alienware x17 which comes with intel cpus only and instantly regret it, this is what happens when you put profit 1st and layoff all your engineers to cut cost and hire an accountant as a CEO, like most American companies who suffers now like Boeing they used to be an engineer company 1st, look at them now, AMD Dr Lisa su coming from an engineering background as well as Jensen Huang he used to be an AMD engineer, again coming from, an engneering background, intel fabs are 10 years behind man, read on intel status and there stocks no one trust there engineering ability anymore there is serious Doubts about them pulling off 5nm fabs, they are still on 10nm fabs renamed intel 7 lol for marketing purposes, AMD is on TSMC 4nm, again this is what happens when you put Profites before innovation and engineering.

    Only thing is.. I'd go dual 7900xtx with 48GB GDDR6 ram over a single 4090.. and the dual gpu will be less in price and give you a lot more performance. Also why not a PCIE5 5th gen SSD?

      @@lilunchengsmiles Not sure who told you that. 24GB VRAM and performance on par with 4090.. its plenty good for running models. Maybe not for machine learning.. but who is using a home desktop to try to do any sort of machine learning.. not nearly powerful enough without lots of high end GPUs. Unless you're just learning how to write code to train.. but for running models, its plenty capable.

      @@b3owu1f People typically construct workstations for specific workloads unless they have an excessive amount of money to spare. For common tasks like rendering or machine learning training, the RTX 4090 is indeed a valuable asset, which partly explains the U.S.'s decision to restrict its export to China. This move prompts reflection on the utility of AMD cards, which were not included in the ban. Many high-performance rendering machines, including those utilized by artists and engineers, favor NVIDIA cards like the RTX 4090. For certain users, the RTX 4090 presents the most cost-effective option before considering pricier professional-grade cards. AMD appears significantly less capable in handling these workloads, to the extent that I would prefer acquiring two RTX 4080 cards instead.

    • @b3owu1f
      @b3owu1f 7 місяців тому

      @@lilunchengsmiles Fully understand all that. And yet, the 7900xtx is as performant in every task as the 4090 with the exception of nvidia specific API/SDK coded tests. Naturally they cant compete in that. But you dont need to sell me on it. Plenty of reviews show the performance of both cards in games, rendering, video editing and AI. There are indeed some areas of AI that the nvidia is better strictly because nvidia provides robust sdk/api tools that AMD does not have for their consumer cards.

      @@b3owu1f my profession is customer facing solution architect, customers pick hardwares which covers as much features as possible so that they don’t need to spend money and refactor all infrastructure. Time is money. If I spend that much money building workstation, price is the least I concern. If I really concern with price, I will not go workstation route. If I invest money, make sure the focus is saving times of expensive engineering labor costs. Many software works very well with Nvidia hardware , it is obvious pick. I do agree with you on PCIE5 5th gen ssd . If he invests that much money, especially workloads applications, fast ssd is essential.
