Am i going to buy this chassis? No. Am I going to do a build soon? No. Am I going to watch this video in its entirety? Hell Yes! Goated PC building channel.
Found this channel building my first PC, built another for my son. 3 year later I buy my parts and find i have all the same items essential for this build. Thank you!!!
I have a whole mess of components on the way to me. I fully intended to pay someone to build it, but after watching your video I think I might just do it myself. Thank you very much for the detailed video!
It's always better to build yourself. My first PC I paid someone to do it and it was a mess. I ended up watching this channel and rebuilt it. Go figure. Now I'm building my second gaming PC.
Great quality video yet again, seeing all the improvements like the better cable grommets whilst enjoying practical, no-nonsense, detailed feedback on building in it keeps me coming back to this channel. I have the 'normal' version already lying about for nearly a year now, still gotta start my build, but dayum, if this isn't tempting. Still, pricewise I paid €52 less than what I could get this XL version for right now, so I will make due with the smaller version.
Excellent build, for the curious,.. Dont forget you can buy a wood film wrap on the cheap to cover the PSU shroud area with a wood accent look to really make the build pop. (Transparent side panel or not)
Really appreciate the video it helped a lot going through the build process even tho I've built multiple PCs in the past, served as a good memory refresher. Was extremely well done in terms of camera angles to see exactly how to do each task and explanations.
this is a great guide and it has helped me a lot as a first time builder. I have just bought this case, and just before I start my build I have a question please if u don't mind. 8:12 It's about those case fan cables. There are three short cables with three pin connectors on the end of them , what do we do with those three connectors, if anything?
Excellent review of the case and a clean, elegant build. Loved the video and the pace of explanation. Planning to order a North XL and wanted to see how a 360/420mm rad would fit. This video helped. Thanks.
Thanks for the Video. To my understanding...you should not put the m.2 in the first slot because its cause less gpu power? sry for my incorect english.
Have you been through airlines stewards training or something? I like how your pointing to things while you talk. That is very pleasant to watch. Whole video is awesome and helped me a lot as I'm right before building new PC using this awesome case. Thanks!
I followed your meshify 2 build guide when I built my PC three and half years ago. I'm back again as I want to swap the case for this XL as I feel this is more usable than the previous North. which tbh was beautful but seemed like a tight fit overall. I'm mainly trying to figure out if my PSU will be an issue, PC part picker is saying my Corsair HX1000 Platinum 1000 W 80+ Platinum length of 180mm is within the Fractal Design North XL ATX Full Tower Case maximum of 290mm, but exceeds the recommended length of 175mm. Please verify that the connector locations on the power supply will not interfere with the structure of the case. Which I don't really get. I can see the PSU you are using is 160mm so watching to see how big a difference that 20mm will make potentially before buying. Im guessing its relating to the HDD cases being installed or not!?
Coolers are rated for 'watts' of heat they can displace. This setup will work, but it will thermal throttle if you run your cpu past Intel limits. That said, you should not need to push the limits for any games that will come out for a very long time. I would still go 360 mm AIO front mounted hoses down. Artic freezer 3 or comparable.

Fractal Design's best case just got better 🔥
No doubt
First timer here. Thanks for sharing this - I feel sufficiently confident to tackle the project now. The case gets in Friday!

Will start building in Fractal North XL soon, but before that I bought prebuild PC. So thank you for very thorough guide!!
Brilliant, clear video. I am planning a similar build. Love the aesthetics.

one of the most elegant build i've ever seen
This video was so helpful in building essentially the same build except with AMD. Thank you so much for this!
This case is really thought out. Just finished building an airflow Noctua build and temps are good
Thanks this Chris. Used this today. Absolutely fantastic. Your a lifesaver
This is my favorite build channel on the Citadel.
Nice build and thanks for the video :) I am getting the North XL too!

Man i was building something like this yesterday with the same case, cpu and gpu and youtube gave me this video today. This will help me greatly.

Top notch. Helped me with my first build
Exactly what I needed - most informative I've seen up to now. Thank you!

Thanks! Very useful video, going to need this when I change the case👍
Great looking build!
Thanks!

Put some preferably Orange Glo on the front wood panel, it will accentuate the grain and help collect dust on the outside before entering the filter.

Can you mount a third combo hard drive caddy upside down in that bottom compartment?
Love the case nice build thanks for sharing
Can it fits two Noctua NF-A20 on the top? These are 200mm but have mounting holes like 180mm fan😁
Does it matter which fan header I plug the front panel fan in?
can the tempered glass version of this case have a 140mm fan installed in the back of the case?
Does the extra side pannel for fans fit aswell with the Noctua NH-D15 inside?
what case is in the behind underneath the "Live" sign.
Did the noctua cooler block the side bracket on the lower position for the gpu? I’m wanting to do a build in this case.
Hi, is this the full or the mid tower? thank you

10:39 just what i was looking for. .AWESOME
I’m new to PCs so how do I know if this build is really good and how much fps I can get
I'm dying to see custom water loops on this case!!!
Can you please do a DeepCool Morpheus review!
is this build's Noctua NH-D15 enough to cool the Intel Core i9 14900K?

what is he saying at 8:20?
It is not about build it yourself. It is about watching Chris builds it. 😂
This is a great video..... but my god is there not enoug thermal paste 🤣🤣 thats barely convering the middle of the cpu.
13:04 😭ENG is not my native
Chris, can i fit corsair swift in xl version? i know its kinda hand with regular North.
yes you can !
You can smile Christopher 😂
Yeah XL is more like a normal ATX size. The regular North is pretty small.
Chris if you decide to sell the case let me know.
I don't think I have your contact any more, but check in with me in a week or so
