2019 GLS450 Unsafe Air Spring Popped. Saves $2K Repair Options

The air suspension is great when it works. but after 5 years on road ~40K miles, the air spring popped while driving on the highway. It was riding like there is no spring and no suspension. completely dropped to the lowest level. Amplifying every bump on the road. This is worst than a flat tire as the whole suspension failed instead of just 1 tire is deflated. Bouncing violently over bumps. it can costs $3K-$4k to fix at the dealer. Mercedes?! Is this a bad design that needs to be recalled?!
