Think of all the high handicap golfers with bad grips that need to see this! They are trying every drill under the sun to fix a slice and all they need to do is correct their bad grip.
This info will go right over the head of most golfers. I see a majority of them concerned with out driving their competition on the practice tee. The snowman they'll take on the par 3's isn’t a concern.
Every pro you see on UA-cam. Has a slightly different grip. They like to use they slightly customize it because it works for them. And they're swing, so it would be best to do is look at all the grips and find out which one works best for you?
This is the best traditional grip lesson I've ever come across. You can tweak the thumb placements slightly if needed, but all beginner golfers should start here, IMHO, at least until the ball flight dictates a tweak. However, if you're trying to swing like Jon Rahm, you'll need an extreme tweak of the thumb locations. As for anyone trying to learn Pete Cowens tour swing (Rory Mcllroy) this is spot on.
ONE OF THE BEST EVER GREATEST PLAYERS! Thank You!!
I've watched grip videos for years but something just clicked for me watching this one, thanks!
I 💯 % agree with you. Thanks for watching and commenting 🍻
I can't believe I've been gripping the club like a big dumb animal for so long 😂

8 time major winner may be on to something.

Thanks
No problem
Great!! I didn't know the position of my thumbs may be the root cause of slice. Can't wait to get to the Range.
Try & come back with a range report if you can. I'm interested to hear the results. 🍻
Incredibly similar spot to me. About to head out to the range and practice!
Excellent video thank you 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it 🍻

Doesn't matter. It's only a scratch even if it's a double snowman. 😁

Did he top it in this newer grip video? 😂
And don't forget you're maximising loft
His dad was six years old when Tom was a what?
Huh ! What does this old guy know.
😆
Hate saying this, but tom doesn't articulate very well the reasons for any of this. Great player, but not a natural teacher.
If you would like a specific reason for any of this, feel free to ask a specific question. 🍻
