Marie they are similar to crimps, but have a hook at the end to attach to your findings of choice. Here they are on our site: www.potomacbeads.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=knot+cover&Submit=
I have some of the knot covers and the connector loop popped open too easily. So I put crazy glue on the look and while I was there I put it on the clamshell too.
I bought some of the clam covers and the loop that goes around the connector is not very strong. Are there better ones or are they stronger than I think???
what if the connector on the centerpiece, in this case, our cross is going the wrong way? ie instead of the loop on the cross going side ways, mine is vertical. Do I put a jump ring on? would the jump ring hold up?
Hi, I am having problems determining the size of my stretch bracelets? Do you have any advice? Suppose a person's wrist size is 6 1/2 and her daughter's is 4 1/2? How many inches of stretch cord should I cut? And then once I cut my stretch cord, how do I know how many beads to do, so it is the right size for the Mother and daughter? Thank you! Would appreciate any help!
Well you need at least several inches extra when making it so that you can tie the knot(s). Best thing to do before tying the knot and gluing is to measure on someone's wrist. If that person is not readily available, try on someone else nearby with a similar size wrist, and remove/add beads as necessary to ensure it is comfortable.
How many inches would you make this bracelet in total if you are making it for the general population (an average), would it be 6.5 or 7 inches? (considering it stretch would you make this smaller? Thanks
It might be if you fed the eye pin through a bead towards the clasp and then looped. But it would be a really tight squeeze and might make a little space in the beads
Is it possible that you can watch my jewelry collection video please it's called Jozie's Bangles by Jolanda Martin and could you possibly give me some feedback on what you think about my pieces please
It's the measuring of the amount of stretchy string I have trouble with, as well as with all my other projects, like multi strand necklaces and how to connect them to finish it off. ugggg
I would just measure my wrist and the connector link and subtract the length of the link from the overall length I want the bracelet to be, adding a couple inches on each end to tie it off. I use a bead board for single and multi=strand necklaces to decide my design and how long I want each strand. End caps or cones are great for finishing a multi-strand project. you can tie all your strands together and fasten to an eye pin then cover with an end cap and make a loop to attach your clasp. You can also use multi-strand connectors, with one loop for the clasp on one side and multiple loops on the other side to fasten each bead strand using crimp beads. Hope this helps.
What are those knot covers called? I've seen crimp bead covers, is it the same thing? I tried searching for knot covers online and couldn't find anything!
Thank you! Here is another different kind of stretch bracelet video that you may enjoy! www.potomacbeads.com/how-to/projects-tutorials/bracelet-projects/PPBW1923
Yes, here is the link for some silver plated ones if you need to get some! www.potomacbeads.com/findings/crimps-covers-cord-ends-for-finishing-jewelry/153209.html We also carry them in other metal colors.
By wire do you mean stringing wire? You would just crimp to the link/cross on one end, then put a split ring on the other end, and attach a clasp to it.
Great! We're so glad this was helpful! Here is another helpful video that shows a multi-strand bracelet and two different ways to finish it. ua-cam.com/video/Yjf1yQIXxzo/v-deo.html

I have a lot of those knot covers and didn't know what they were for! Thanks!
You should use a crimp cover to put over the knot crimp covers it kind of finishes it off better.
I have some of the knot covers and the connector loop popped open too easily. So I put crazy glue on the look and while I was there I put it on the clamshell too.
Beautiful.....have some knot covers. Can't wait to make one! You are wonderful!
I’ve wanted to know how to do this for quite a while. Thank you so much!
I'm afraid of the metal knot (crimp) cover cutting into my stretch cord. Is there any way to avoid that?
thank you so much for this tutorial. i found a bunch of connectors on sale (i'm a beadaholic) and was wondering how to get them to work.
This helped me in so many ways thank youuuu ❤
This perfect I wasn’t sure if we could even make them w stretchy cord w the main plate or bead that has connectors on each side
Glad this video was helpful!
I bought some of the clam covers and the loop that goes around the connector is not very strong. Are there better ones or are they stronger than I think???
I'm having the same problem! The link on the clam shell is opening and the link connector comes off:
Here is a better explanation.
They do have clam-shells with a hole, which are more durable, instead of the loop that you crimp. I would check firemountaingems.com.

Can you use crimp covers
I went on your website to purchase the cross but couldn’t find them.
I can't find them either. I can't even find them when I Google it.
what if the connector on the centerpiece, in this case, our cross is going the wrong way? ie instead of the loop on the cross going side ways, mine is vertical. Do I put a jump ring on? would the jump ring hold up?
A jump ring will hold as long as it is a heavier gauge jump ring like a 20 gauge or thicker.
thank you so much for this tutorial, I will try it today.

Where do you find the diamond crosses????
On our website. www.potomacbeads.com/Gold-Plated-Crystal-Cross-Black-Diamon-p/16108.htm
What a good idea but how did you finish the ends. I would like to see how you knotted.
Just an over hand knot (doubled)
Is there a possible way to make these but with eye pins?
It might be if you fed the eye pin through a bead towards the clasp and then looped. But it would be a really tight squeeze and might make a little space in the beads
How do you bead the braclet with double strands
Are you looking to do this bracelet with two strands?
