You probably just saved me a lot of embarrassment. I've always been skeptical about stretch bracelets and now I realize the mistakes I've been making. I haven't had any disasters yet, but I was about to release a large new line and they almost certainly wouldn't have lasted long. Thank you!
I am 73 and learning to bead for a local school's "Santa's Workshop" and ready to take the plunge! Thank you for this information..you are very talented. 😉😊
Thank you for this video. I used to string beads as a kid, it was a fashion statement back in the days. Now, that I am 73 years of age, I would like to start again, but was afraid my elastic would break. Thanks to you I can start making bracelets again!
Hi Kat!! This is the best video on stretch bracelets that I have ever seen! I shy away from these bracelets cuz 1 time my customer tried hers on and it broke but it was a very very old elasticity so I assume that is why it broke! I especially love your doubling of the cord! I myself have elonga in colors and in black and white.8mm close enough to yours! I really really appreciate your time and sharing your tips and tricks with us! This has helped me out tremendously as I’m now going to make a holiday stretch bracelet!! Many hugs 🤗🤗🎄🤗and many thanks 😊 from Melissa aka Made With Love 💜By:Mel from South Florida!!
Thanks so much, my bracelets kept coming apart and I couldnt figure out what I was doing wrong, but I guess it might be the glue or how long I let it dry for, I am guessing the later was my problem. I appreciate it so much for taking away my stress. I have 34 to make so I want to make sure it is secure before I give them out. Blessings
This is the best bracelet video I've seen! My daughter found my beads and make several bracelets, I broke mine within 2 days :( I thought it was the knot that I'd done, watching videos.... but the single elastic broke. I bought the 0.5mm elastic over 10 years ago, I don't know if it weakens over time (I have loads!!). But the idea of double stringing is great. She'll be selling some bracelets for fundraising, so I don't want them to break. Thanks for really useful video!
Thank you so much! I am so glad I found your site! Making bracelets for troops and you saved me hours of having to redo bracelets because of the wrong type of knots and glue,
VERY nice!!! I've been doing something similar, but your method is even better, for it is more efficient and even easier than mine. I used all the same products and tools, but my HOW was not the same. Thank you for this clear and consise video - I will be using your method from now on, and look forward to seeing your other videos.
It’s a lot of work to make sure they don’t break. I want to start adding these types o bracelets to my Shoppe. I did not want any breakage. Thank you for this
Thank you! That was a very clear explanation and I could see everything you did. Super idea on how to do the knot. Now on to making stretch bracelets!😍
Great video. I’m not familiar with this glue and I wonder how long it takes to dry. Planning to have making bracelets for my granddaughter’s birthday party.
I like this better then double looping it I notice the fibers started to thin the way I did it it’s similar to this but as I string I have the double thread already but at end using the loop inbetwen and tying each end there is small section where the fiber is thinner. n it it started to shreds rip tare
I've been making bracelets like these with lava and wood beads for essential oils. My older son's keeps breaking and now I suspect it's the oils that eat through the opalon...? How do you recommend making these type of bracelets then? We see them for sale all over!
With the Opelon, you don't have to pre-stretch it. Another reason to love it. www.eurekacrystalbeads.com/opelon-stretch-jewelry-cord-white-0-7mm-5-meters/?aff=30
Some bracelets I have that are stretched out are strung on a more stretchy true elastic fabric type cord. Where do you buy that? Not this plastic fish wire. Bracelets are old Lia Sophia that have lost all their stretch. Thx.
Awesome. I have tried crispers and can never get them to stay round looking after to match the beads. This was fantastic. I will use from now on. Thanks
There is no way I can get a knot that big to disappear into 8mm gem stone beads. I’ve tried just doing the regular knot with the surgeons knot. The only way I’ve found is to use one spacer bead that has a larger hole. Have you used gemstone beads and been successful? Please if you have a way that works for those I would love to know. Thankyou for the video. It probably works very well for wood beads, or large beads with holes that are larger than 1mm.
I have the same problem. I have to really push the bead on top of the knot but I get glue on my fingers and it stretches the cord. Still looking for a good way to do this!
This makes me want to restring all of my beaded bracelets and I don't even have this skillset. Beautifully presented. I might venture into making my own beaded necklace that the MLB players (Phillies - Jose Alvarado) has made for himself and his teammates are wearing. Thank you so much.
Square knot or granny knot? Half hitch and second half hitch. The difference between them makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE in stay or undone. Please instruct these.

You're going to love beading!

This was the best video I’ve seen on knot tying for stretch bracelets. Thanks!
They are brilliant I never thought of keeping my thread connected to the real while I beat it and use that as a beat stop You're brilliant

I notice you did not suggest pre-stretching the cord. Is that not necessary with the Opelon?
Good job Kat ! Very clear !
I love the way you do bracelets.
I enjoyed watching your video and cannot wait to make my next stretch bracelet! You are a great teacher and I learned a lot about knotting and gluing.
Great idea. Thanks 😊
Thanks for the awesome video! 🙂 Fun to watch and learn!
Thank you for this clear video! I've tried this today but realized that I need a bead with large enough hole to hide that knot.
Best idea I have seen!
Thank you so much! I am so glad I found your site! Making bracelets for troops and you saved me hours of having to redo bracelets because of the wrong type of knots and glue,
may I ask what you mean by making for troops? Sounds nice.
Thank you for sharing, that’s my worse fear them breaking❤
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!!!!

Love the details and visuals! Excellent video! ❤
Thank you! This is very helpful!
Great lesson, thank you. Now I'm keen to try and get that stretchy bracelet secure.
Very thorough and informative. Thank you~
Very helpful, thank you! 😊
What is the fabric on your table? Does it help the beads from rolling away? Is it felt?
Thank you this is so helpful! Subscribed.
Best instructions I've seen thanks so much ❤
Great video. I’m not familiar with this glue and I wonder how long it takes to dry. Planning to have making bracelets for my granddaughter’s birthday party.
some sites say wait 24 hours before u pull on it and surely before you wear it. Sounds like a lot but better to be safe.
Thanks, you are so delightful & detail
Thanks. I will try this.
I've never seen a stretch bracelet finished that way before! I like it!
My little trick!
Can you show one for small beads? And what size cord to use
Thank you!
I hate stretch cord because of trying to knot it this video was outstanding! Thank you!
Very helpful instructions
Love this technique, thank you! So you never pre-stretch the Opelon?
I like this better then double looping it I notice the fibers started to thin the way I did it it’s similar to this but as I string I have the double thread already but at end using the loop inbetwen and tying each end there is small section where the fiber is thinner. n it it started to shreds rip tare

Does the Opelon shred easily?
all fine and good but does not work for small holr beads.
Thanks for the video
When you use Opelon, do you need to pre-stretch it?
Awesome. I have tried crispers and can never get them to stay round looking after to match the beads. This was fantastic. I will use from now on. Thanks
Can you use a superglue or is that bad?
What size needle do you use?
Love this thank you
So, about 8 half hitch knots. 2 l over r n 3 r over l works the best
How do you hide the knots if they don't fit in the bead hole
Nice video! TFS

Where do you find your glue?
JOANN, Michaels,and Amazon
Mam at the end you are inserting tied part into the beads no.I find it difficult.
Ive been told that using glue damages the beads. Is this not true?
where do you get the cover on the spool
It comes on it when you buy the cord.
It's already on it when you buy the cord.
you don't stretch the thread first?
Why not simply string on a double strand? Why not use square knots? Thank you.
I went to put the glue on, and I lost the knot
hello Mrs Kat love to see what you have for men
I can work that up!
Your doing too many knots for small beads....do you haveva way to knot for small beads?
My 4 knots are the same size as the beads next to it.
Have you thought about using a decorative bead with a larger hole?
Doesn't work and a huge knot.
I'm definitely gonna try this
Thank you ❤️ 🩷 😊 for the video.
