Yessss, this is huge as a Robin main, love getting actual practical tech. Even though you can't buffer Elwind straight out of dash attack, it seems you can immediately buffer it out of any attack that doesn't alter Robin's position (e.g. Dash Attack to ledge > wait > Down Smash > Buffer Up B). Releasing the down smash early to fake out the foe into thinking its safe to recover only to immediately get spiked by the up b. The possibilites are endless it feels like.
very true, however this is more consistent against many recoveries if you can time it properly (and you also have to consider that Robin doesn't always have their ledge trapping tools in the first place, having a threatening option on ledge without needing Levin or Arcfire is a very useful thing)
that being said ledgetrapping will likely still be preferred most of the time when both options are available this is more just an additional tool that fleshes out an already threatening ledge game imo

I think it's a funny coincidence that i find this video shortly after starting to play Robin. And that this tech doesn't work on all three of my mains. Who are literally all placed right next to each other in the list at the end. (Cloud, Terry and Richter) Crazy.
Yoshi being don't is maybe a misnomer. It obviously won't break double jump armor until some crazy high %s, but I'd guess it can cleave through an egg throw or two frame an air dodge to ledge. And hitting Yoshi offstage like that can be an immediate KO.
thats a really cool find! its functionally similar to the ECB manipulation in melee that you see in platform warp aerials and u demonstrated that really well! If you do the dash attack setup and then shield, can you up b OOS and get the same effect?
Oh shit this is kinda big Usually I just ledge trap with the threat of dash up up B spike forcing people to act sooner than later but this skips that entirely and I can just get em LOL
