Was able to find and remove mine by removing the right-hand side panel, didn't need to drain and water and tip the machine on its side.
At the beginning of the video (approx 18sec) when removing the water from the bottom part of the dishwasher, the temperature sensor is the silver cylinder part that's visible right there after removing the filter and cover. It was easy enough to remove by pushing it from the inside and pulling it on the connector side simultaneously. A little tricky to unplug the connector but managed to get it by holding the clip with my finger and then using a small flathead screwdriver inbetween the M and F connectors and then twisting to pry them apart.
As far as I can tell, the Miele part numbers for this sensor are either 07017320 or 7017321 .. I'm guessing they're interchangeable. And seems to just have a 12kΩ NTC Thermistor inside. Seems like washing machines, air conditioners etc all use a similar part. I wonder if a generic one works or even just replacing the thermistor inside it...
