    Great job lady, it's the first tinny reno I have seen by a woman. Kudos to you. Tight lines.

    The old "it won't hurt you" but gives her a grinder with no guard hahaha

    Thankyou for this. I am about to embark on a tinnie resto. I currently am building a wooden kyack, but the more i work on it the more i realize getting a tinnie and modifying would he quicker and cheaper. Great work.

      That’s so cool! Kayak would be heaps of fun to make. Good luck with whatever you choose to do. Either way, it’s so satisfying knowing you’ve done it yourself.

    Good on you for giving it a go yourself, it turned out looking good. One suggestion would be to get a bilge pump into it... if it gets a bit rough and you take some water over the side or get caught in a storm that can make the difference between being a bit uncomfortable, and swimming home.

      Yes definitely need one for safety! We did put one in, we may not have shown it in the video but it has a brand new one and a new outlet in the side on the starboard side at the back. The switch is wired into the control panel.

    Great job,the only thing I would do differently is finding a way to not use bolts because the plywood is not flush on the rest of the frame while sitting on bolts

      Yeah would of been good but it actually doesn’t make too much difference when screwing them down on the frame.

    This helped me so much in my current refurb of a '62 12' starcraft! Whats the length of your boat? Thanks!!!

      That's awesome! We watched a fair few UA-cam vids to help us out too. Our Tinny is 13'.

    How are the plastic cubelock fitting holding up?

      Hey, it’s nearly a year on and it’s great! Floor is solid as still. We just took it up Cape York and it didn’t rattle apart on the corrugations so that’s a win! Haha

    Wondering why you chose Not to drop the floor down all the way down.

    • @reellittleadventurers
      @reellittleadventurers  10 місяців тому

      Because we usually have the four of us in the boat we wanted storage under the floor to put things out of the way. Our tinny is also really stable when standing and moving about, having the floor higher doesn’t make too much difference to balance.
