  • Hello friends, whether you are a new or experienced food delivery driver; have you explored doing a package delivery? Time is money when doing gig work. How do you decide which types of orders are best, or; do you take them all? Have you considered that package deliveries could also fill the gap outside peak mealtimes? There are many possibilities.
In this video I will show you what I went through taking a long distance package delivery into Los Angeles. Traffic is horrible. Was this a huge mistake or did the pay actually prove profitable. What about wear and tear on my car?
I trust you will enjoy watching my adventure and appreciate some pro tips sprinkled throughout.
Please let me know me if you have taken a package delivery before and also let me know the most amount of money you've made doing one.
Have a safe and profitable week!
    Russ

I am from Chicago so I can relate to everything you’re saying. Even though my garbage routes are mostly in the suburbs so I don’t have to deal with a whole Lotta traffic, but I’ve driven in Chicago many times so yes.

$2 per mile, and not going to a bad area.

Min $1/mile this order should have been at least $70

True. Using that rate we need at least $47 just to cover vehicle usage and that only leaves $23 for my time which is ridiculous. We are really getting paid out of our vehicle’s life expectancy. What do you think about that? So for my $53 I really made $6. Russ

@@babakoosaw That us encouraging to hear! I know we can't control customers but it is nice to receive several well paying orders vs. grinding out low paying orders. But we can chose what orders we accept and hopefully there are many to choose from so we can remain busy.
