Your real friends mock you in person and praise you behind your back.
Underrated comment.
That is an excellent observation sir!
Well said.....lovely.
Good point, well made.
Love this
Dana treats David like a little brother, which is very sweet.
All of those guys do. It's so cute
@@annawalker5569 Omg. Yes. I'm sure he was blushing. The last time I saw that was when he was with Farley. So cute.
Carvey does a million impressions yet is totally wowed by Spade's water dripping noise ability, lol.
Cuz Danas a real one
lol dana just hitting that dennis miller was spot on
Yeah it was. 🤣🤣🤣
Dana is famous for his Dennis Miller impression. He nails it.
lol
Dennis is my favorite of Carvey’s impressions. Can’t get enough!
He did it on snl too right next to dennis
That 2 second Fallon impression is the most accurate I've ever seen. Carvey will forever be one of the masters at impersonations. He focuses on the subtle things other people may miss.
remember after that where he made fun of people who laugh at his 2-second impressions
He invented Dr Evil
It’s based off of Lorn
@@gsofficial Andy Samberg does a pretty great Fallon, too. "Jimmy Fallon at a funeral".
he doesn't really do impressions, he does caricatures, but what makes them great is they are FUNNY. Lots of impressionists nail the voice and mannerisms, but they can't write funny material. Dana picks out parts of their voice or mannerisms, exaggerates it, and writes killer stuff. That is what makes him so great.
Dana and Bill Hader should do something together because they're both excellent impressionists.
I love Dana’s Dennis Miller! Kills it every time lol
SAME
@@cranberriesgirlhype8292 I was starting to think I was the only one who believes Dana does Dennis better than Dennis lol
@@Spooky_515 🤣 excellent observation
@@cranberriesgirlhype8292 I guess Dana is a comedian who makes me lmao know matter what the hell he’s doing
I love how Dana is soft core roasting Spade the entire time. Legend!
We usually call it "low key" but you win! "Soft core" fits even better 😂😂👋
@@gellotion
Low key? No boy. We don't say that tard shit round here!!!!
@@jackroberts416 no sir yee bob! like a chicken with a fiddle in old aunt margeries poodle snuffer yessum
Unlike Norm Macdonald, who just kills him and walks away.
That’s how you know they’re really friends, because comics who truly like each other always bust each other’s chops.
Spade was saying how crushed he was and Dana re-enacted it for him and then did the bit to remind him how much better he was at it. Still burning him after 30 years, lol.
I feel like Dana didnt even realize he was doing it, he strikes me as one of those guys who are so brilliantly talented they take their own talent for granted. He just heard “impression of Ross Perot” and felt the need tk bring it to life
Legend.
Comedians are like family and will poke at each other all day long... perfecting their skills.
3:25 Oh, man! Lol. That "quick impression" of Fallon was so funny! Just about sums that guy up. It conjured up so many of the great things about him...poor guy.
The laughs these two have given me over the years. I could never ever thank them enough.
This show was awesome for a variety of reasons. David Spade could take both the front stage and the front row seat. He introduced comedians that people hadn't heard of. He could hang out with top comedians in the business, take a little ribbing and make a show of it. He made light of daily issues that stress everyone out. He would sometimes bring his mother onboard who had a comedic vibe of her own. He was 'the little guy', or underdog, which makes people cheer for him to independently succeed. Who wouldn't tune in to current events, through a comedic perspective, a comedy variety show that stands alone and a cheering section for the underdog, all at the same time??! I LOVED his show! Bring back David Spade, comedy host extraordinaire!!!
Who wouldn’t tune in to current events thought comedy? Have you watched the massive propoganda machine that is late nite
I absolutely loved Lights Out and was surprised it didn't make its way back. I guess he's an acquired taste, I just thought enough people appreciated him the way I do to warrant his talk show. Bring back Lights Out!
There is nothing like when Carvey gets on a roll!
It's one of those weird things. He and Robin Williams came up at the same time.......one exploded, the other didn't. They were always so similar though. Oddly, I think a lot of people think Dana came onto the scene after Robin. Robin did bring in the coked up 90's in a way Dana never could. (this is not a message of hate by any stretch) Edit: I absolutely adored Robin. Dana is the only comedian I know of with an exact same ability. (likeability, impressions, ability to ramp up when encouraged, nice, etc etc)
Love how Dana is so friendly/kind to Spade. Feels good to watch folks who like each other.
Dana is another guy who is so massively
Talented but they never could Figure out what to do with it. He’s amazing really. His career should’ve been blockbuster huge.
Wayne's World
But then he did Master of Disguise
He is worth 20 million. I think he is fine. And he is definitely respected. I know his shows and movies besides Wayne’s world did not do well.
@@al-xshro9975 you don't know what he's worth.
Opportunity Knocks was simple bit funny movie
my favorite spade sound effect is when he's dialing a phone.. "beep bop boop bop beep!"
Dana Carvey & David Spade, two of the funniest people ever
@burteriksson HAHA!!! That's awesome. Those are the comments I most detest. Even more than "2020 Who's watching?"
@burteriksson you mean like.....
No one:
Dana Carvey: Here's some impressions!
Not David Spade, but Carley, yes
I like these one-on-one interviews. (Less comedians trying to out joke - or out laugh - each other.)
Yeah this is a better format.
for sure
Definitely
What shows are you referring to 'comedians trying to out joke each other? Most talk shows are one on one, like, all of them. Conan, seth Meyers,Colbert, Kimmel, etc. Going back to Carson and before
These two could talk to one another all night and entertain us.
I'm glad David Spade has his own show now. He's so great and hasn't gotten the opportunities he deserves. For the record, I am not David Spade.
He has that dry humor that can pull it off.
Him and Chris Farley were an epic duo
Sure David.....
something that someone who is david spade would say
I actually love that you can slot him into any sitcom and somehow make it better, even if Spade is just Spading it up and doing the same shtick he has done for over 35 years.
Reminds me of back when I would not miss a single episode of SNL.
Dana’s Perot imitation was one of the best ever
Dana’s impression of Dennis Miller is spot on!
lol, I caught that too, perfect..
Spade needs to bring this back! Just the four sitting and shooting the shit. Dana, Dennis ,Norm and Spade!!
Turn on the closed captions for this video. It's perfect.
I WAS SO CONFUSED
Like what is it? lol
Whyyy lol
WTF
Jeffery Epstine is getting cancelled
Huge if true
That fallon impression was spot on
Dana's Perot impersonation is dead on. Perot was that intense.
It’s always fun when the subtitles belong to a different clip
And now they have one of my favorite podcasts.
Spade is so tots adorbs being all embarrassed over Carvey imitating him 😉
SAVEOURREPUBLIC2 totes adorbs...totally adorable 😍
@J Wil that's a fact.
Dana Carvey is my favorite SNL player, and I have been watching since its inception.
No shit? 😳
Ross Perot was also an incredibly successful businessman and one of the most popular third party candidates to date.
Hans Grueber I agree ! Pretty much would have done exactly what Mr. Trump is doing only 20 yrs earlier ? But the media stamped him crazy !
He single handedly made the Democrats and Republicans get together and agree to change the rules so it won't happen again.
Meh... overrated
heh I'd vote Perot; he was a legit old school tech guy with the fire to stoke those southern sensibilities
i was just turned 20 years old, and i registered just for him. have never voted since.
Spade to Sting: And You Are? These two were and are still Hilarious!!
Dana Carvey is endlessly amusing
A couple of SNL legends
I love Carvey's impersonations. I could sit and listen to SNL legends talk all day. What's up with your captions lol
Ms.MonicaPyle he should get his own show doing skits of snl characters in their real lives
'Victoria Secret'
Spade is a GIANT among comedians.
SNL LEGENDS❣️ Love them🥰🤩
When I was a kid I thought spade and carvey were the same guy and then I saw them together. Lol
Lmao! That’s hilarious cause at one point I thought the same!
Idk if you watch Good Mythical Morning but I’ve been telling my girlfriend for years that Link on there looks like Dana Carvey then randomly one day on one of their videos he mentioned that a lot of people tell him he looks like Dana. I was like “see there I wasn’t imagining it” lol
Carvey is a genius at mimicking others.
Master of disguise
Two people I love so much. True comedians.
David is so cool. Really down to earth.
He's an absolutely horrible person in real life!
4:17 crying "bew bew"
hahahaha
I've heard many comedians say nothing but praises about Dana. He's just so clean humor and seems so sweet but he's funny. Of course, David is always funny too.
That was a great Samantha B impersonation; he even nailed the part where nobody laughs.
Perfect comment. Well done.
Zing.
That's not true!!!!!but that's f****** super f****** hilarious. . because it's the truth sometimes?!???!!!(and that's the only part he nailed!)
@Nathan White You forgot Lucille Ball, Phyllis Diller, Ann Meara, Lily Tomlin, Rita Rudner and Rebel Wilson
@Nathan White You don't think Lucille Ball was funny? Seriously?
"Fetus with shoes" possibly one of the greatest smackdowns ever!!
Dana is one of the greats. Loved this interview!
Ross Perot called it. He told us what were going through right now. Ron Paul too.
What's that, a lobotomy in the white house?
These 2 have great chemistry...they should have a podcast or something.
About 20 years ago David Spade smiled at me as I exited the subway. I smiled back at him after exiting the train.I always wondered what would have happened if I stayed on the train. I was so flattered.
David and Dana are both underrated 💪🏼💪🏼
Still don’t know why they took this show off. No politics I guess. 😐
yeah, just pure entertainment, can't have that.
Lights out was perfect

"You can't put a porcupine in the barn, light it on fire, and expect to make licorice."
Spade was EXCELLENT on Just Shoot Me
This was a fun talk show that didn't take itself too seriously, which just added to the fun. Comedy central made a mistake by canceling it.
This show gets cancelled and Lilly Singh over on NBC is still on the air. That shows how out of touch these network execs are
Out of touch? I've no idea who Lily Singh is.
Comedy Central canceled Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, the Sports Show with Norm Macdonald...I knew this one wouldn’t last. Nothing I enjoy lasts too long on Comedy Central lol
That insufferable, unfunny, unwatchable yutz Noah keeps his job while Spade, who is roughly a gizzillion times funnier, loses his. Yup, that makes sense.
It actually just got picked up by Netflix. It's called The Netflix Afterparty now.
that teardrop sound effect is lowkey impressive
Why is it lowkey? It's just impressive. Such a stupid slang trend. Be original, bruh.
@@anthonyc.4246 no kidding. these gen Z cliches need to die. I could see if they made sense when said, but it is unnessessary filler that doesn't need to be there.
"He Heeee" David Spade
"Pewuuuu" David Spade 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dane rocked it. Talent supreme. Spade? - Had some good moments.
Here you are, reviewing people to strangers online thinking it matters.
@@SimonHaestoe Here you are critiquing my comment as a stranger online thinking it matters.😂. The irony! (if you even know what the word means)
Fallon impression, I'm dead.☠️
Dana Carvey can imitate anyone. His Johnny Carson is flawless.
So what you're saying is he's a funny impressionist, and his jokes basically.. make people laugh? Weird, wild stuff. I did not know that!
The one Carson they did with Burt Reynolds and Dom Delouise pissing his pants (I think that was Norm and Farley) 😂
David Spade...the " destroyer of Sitcoms"😅.... love him in Tommy Boy and Joe Dirt though...good stuff!
I love Spade because he never tries too hard to be funny. That’s what makes him so funny. ❤
Spade was great on Rules of Engagement. Probably because he mostly played himself.
Give Dana his own show! Would watch both shows.......love my 89 snl cast
Lights Out was hands down the best late night talk show when it was on.
Watching “Joe Dirt” as we speak.. You are a man of many talents😁😘
Just don’t watch Joe Dirt 2, for the love of god, don’t do it
If I look as good as Dana Carvey at 64 years olds, I'll be quite chuffed.
Carvey - the king of all impersonators!
Fun fact: He went to my High School: Carlmont, in Belmont CA.
My English teacher who had him said he was very quiet in class. Aren't they all?..LOL.
They are the same damn person I swear hahaha
It's good to finally seeing these guys together after so long, I'm sure Spade held alot of resentment back in the day about Carvey getting roles originally meant for Spade, this Ross Perot thing wasn't the only instance
So funny to insert completely out of context subtitles ;)
Spade: "Look kids, a falling star" (showing a photo of Eddie Murphy). Classic!
I wish that show didn't get canceled. I'd love to see it revived on another network.
CAPTIONS ARE ABSOLUTELY WRECKED. WHAT ON EARTH?!
Get a mongoose an put it in the chickens coop….. next question please 🤣🤣🤣 I’ll never forget that whole thing.
I’ve been doing that water dripping thing for 30 years since i first saw Ferris Beulers Day Off and Cameron did it. And I still suck at it.
He’s more entertaining then Colbert and Fallon combined. Spade found his niche
badmoon710 Yea because he’s not kissing ass or dissing trump every 30 seconds
He gone!
Fallon can't get through a knock-knock joke without breaking character or losing his place.
Fallon is a fake phioney fakoo...sucks big time
Said butthurt conservaflakes everywhere
We could do the water drop sound in grammar school in the 80's.
I love these old SNL stories!
I could (and have) watch these guys hanging out together at any time. I would love if they had a show or podcast together
And now they do! 😆
David was the funniest late night host by far!
David you are one of my favorites in comedy grown ups, pcu, Joe dirt, snl thank you for making me laugh till it hurt
Remember seeing Spade play Oklahoma State University in the mid 90s. Still miss that 90s SNL cast starting with Carvey in the late 80s, my favorite era of SNL by far.
shout out to the closed captions...
I love these two!
Does Dana have an "off" switch? 😄
He kind of does! Kevin Nealon has (had? I haven't checked in in a while) a UA-cam channel called Hiking with Kevin, and he hikes around the Santa Monica mountains. One episode he ran into Dana, who was dressed to stay out of the sun and was probably just trying to keep a low profile and get some exercise. So when Kevin recognizes him with his camera, Dana is in a very mellow and relaxed state.
Man they need to bring this show back. So much potential
Samantha B. Impression: Perfect. Jimmy Fallon impression: Classic. David and Dana need a show like Carson.
Dana Carey looks like Austin Powers
Dana carvey the GOAT 🐐
I smiled a lot while watching this. These guys are good. Very good
Dana Carvey is a genius at impressions lol.
If you turn on the subtitles you can listen to one story and read a completely different story at the exact same time.
I love how the 92 election was long enough ago now that they feel the need to explain who Rose Perot was.
And yet we’re still there
I met David Spade during the summer after his first season on SNL. He was filming his role in Light Sleeper, playing a tweaking customer of Willem DaFoe's drug dealer character, and had yet to hear as to whether he would be coming back to the show. He told me about how cool it was to be there, and was particularly enamored of Dana Carvey, who I'm led to believe took him under his wing and befriended him. Carvey is well respected with SNL alumni, and was the first guy to employ Steve Carrel and Stephen Colbert on his network variety show. I ran into Spade about 6 months later in the same restaurant I had met him months previous, and he was kind enough to introduce me to some of the cast members at his table. Very chill dude, and way friendlier than his image would have you believe.
I like that last part.. love you two. Legends
Spade is 9 years younger than carvey, but they look same age lol. And spade looks great for 56
"You can't put a porcupine in the barn.....light it on fire.... And expect to make liquorice." You're bustin' my balls here
man I love these guys.
Dana Carvey is my ALL TIME FAVORITE! He is HILARIOUS!!! Want to see him MORE!!!!!
Spade is that "normal" looking guy you overlook at a party... That turns out to be an undercover playboy that leaves with your girlfriend when you go to grab a couple drinks.
I don't think so
@@tammyrogne1471 You know he dated Heather Locklear, Brittany Daniel, Julie Bowen, Lara Flynn Boyle, Kristy Swanson, and Teri Hatcher among countless others. '
@@garretthenderson5738 - That's right, and he had a child with Jillian Grace, a former Playmate of the Month. He's had a non-stop bevy of gorgeous women on his arm.
I love Dana Carver he is awesome you and him are great together hey there is an idea maybe a Movie??????
V Q Carvey*
One of the best shows ever. I feel about this show like I did about Big bang theater. It's original, so good it feels like it's over too soon. I actually laugh, without a fake laugh track. I hate that this show is gone.
THESE TWO ARE LIFE
