I have a lot of fragrances but there's something about the Sauvage line that makes me keep coming back to it. There are definitely better fragrances out there, but you're right there's a huge dumb reach aspect to it. Even the Parfum and the Elixir.

Great review Clémence. I used to like Sauvage like 5 years ago. But now I my favorite designer is Hermes Terre D'Herrmes.
Sauvage, one of the most sexiest and compliment getter fragrance for men. I melt every time I smell it on a man period. My favourite is the EDT.

I can't help you with that, I didnt keep up with batch history for sauvage as not a fan of the fragrance !
I got the EDT and EDP when I first started collecting , at that time I loved them but soon fell out of love when I discovered some other amazing fragrances. I do like the Elixir though . The best are Eau Savage Parfum , Homme Original, Homme Parfum imo

I’ve had the elixir for just over a month now, wearing it off on and on. It has so many facets and wears a bit different day to day based on the weather and other factors. In my modest 50 bottle collection the opening elicits fatigue the easiest so I have apply away from the nose. But it also smells so good that it’s hard not to use it often. For me it provides comfort, confidence and intrigue.
I use the Eau de Parfum for the office mostly, the Eau de Toilette for running errands or something light, I use the Parfum for 1 on 1 dates (restaurant, home, etc), and I use the Elixir for pubs/bars.
I do something similar with the Dior Homme line.

I wore the EDT when it was first released for a good while, it was the only thing I was wearing at the time. I didn't smell it on anyone else back then and I loved it. I got totally sick of it when it became more popular because I got fed up of smelling it on other people (not even just guys!, the sister of my gf at the time started wearing it!)... Now I have the Elixir, which is great, and a mini 10ml of the Parfum which I don't really wear much because it's too similar to the original (the DNA is still heavily noticeable, unlike the Elixir which it's barely noticeable in).
Unlike the Bleu de chanel dna; I truly feel the Sauvage DNA shines in COLD weather- that spicy dna is undeniably mastered with creamier sweetness and vanilla like nuances. EDP (first formulation) & Elixir are the best in the line! EDP is like a vanilla beef stew, and Elixir is like Red twizzlers & sandalwood furniture. Both with the highest quality of ingredients. Devine!

I'm always on the verge of buying a Sauvage but i get it in my hands and ask myself why.....just this past wednesday i left it there and got Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense and i can say i'm super happy that i did (blind buy). Oh and it is also just as strong and projecting as Sauvage if anyone is wondering that but 10x more classy.

I think I’ve only smelled the EDT and it’s basic. Universal. Crowd pleasing I suppose. I support Johnny with my thoughts as well 😅 better colognes out there, more affordable as well in my opinion.

If i want to share a fully unbiased experience from my side, elixir got me more compliments than any other frags in my collection including both designer and niche. It's a fragrance that will be pleasant for those around you.
Elixir is my favorite then the 2nd one is the og edt
The only one for me is Elixir, I can't tolerate the close up smell of the Edt/Edp which is odd as I really enjoy Molecule02 and Juliet has a gun not a perfume. Both Ambroxin based.
People attack the ambroxen when it’s really the pepper (perhaps riding on top of the ambroxen) that assaults the sense. I use molecule 02 too, and an ambroxen perfume oil sometimes. People associate Sauvage w/ambroxen but it’s not the culprit IMHO.
My brother in law has edt and it smells great but on me, its horrible and I can't wait to wash it off

IMHO Elixir is the only one worth having. The original, whether EDT, EDP or Parfum is just too boring for me. Although it must be said that the Parfum is much better than the EDT.
Je déteste SAUVAGE de DIOR. Je ne comprends pas cet énorme succès.

Nope, I didn’t buy and owned Dior Sauvage EDP and Elixir just because of Johnny Depp. The main reason is because both the smells and performance are very good. Especially the Elixir, it’s GOD of Sauvage (Greatness On Different level).
And just so happen Johnny Depp is the brand ambassador of Dior Sauvage especially with his past hellfire brimstone experiences with his ex-wife (Amber TURD); the more I support Dior Sauvage.
And hell yes, the blue beast I will always buy are Dior Sauvage, YSL, Amouage, but NOT Chanel (BDC) for sure. Hell no BDC 😆

I don’t hate Sauvage, they are nice and likeable. I just hate what it stands for. Boring, people pleaser, more commercialized. Which was not the case with Dior fragrances before. I mean Dior Homme?? Fahrenheit??? Even Dune!

I have many fragrances in my collection and all forms of Dior Sauvage are an absolute no for me. If I am to express my full opinion, I would go so far as to say that I hate the fragrance. I cannot stand it on my skin. There's something in it that smells synthetic, probably the overdose of ambroxan, and irritates me to no end. My opinion is based solely on the scent and does not reflect how I feel about Dior or Jonny Depp.
