my tahoe idles at about 600 RPM so i can stay above 13.3 at idle. but when i’m driving and my RPM’s go up it charges my batteries really fast never takes more then 3-4 seconds to get back to 14.8 V

How come some videos i see of the x series subs say like "2 X-subs on an 8k" and in the video the subs don't move as much as they do in this video, even though you have 4 of them?? Those seem to be Really moving considering each one is only getting around 2,000 watts. Do you think an 8k would be more than enough for 2 Xv3-18s?
whats up bro,i love the X12's ive got two in a 2005 blazer 2 door in 5 cubes with a 8 inch aero port and its tuned super low,also when i bought the blazer the first day i gutted the inside cleaned it and added way over 100lbs of deadener and foam and wood so its solid,it digs down deep but lifes short and i kinda wanna do a bigger build either get two more x12's and maybe do a bandpass,i want something with some wind,i think,,i just dont want to destroy my ride,like the headliner,i worked way too hard on it,i did a complete LS swap with supercharger all by myself so i kinda dont want to weigh it down but i dont race,i live in texas so i dont get to go to any shows so i dont know what options are out there you know,blazers do get down i know that,any ideas or tips,maybe take the back seats out and build a 6th or something what would you do in this situation.remember i dont want it to get messed up,i see people take expandable foam and put it on theyre head liner on top if the wall and i cringe lol.i could use birch to save weight and some smart bracing so i wont have to triple the box just double it or something idk.thanks dude.
Sounds good, but it definitely looks like you need to add at least a stripper pole for bracing or out right do Viber flex and/or wood on the roof before it starts to rip and getting rain leaks
I would start if you need one, check to see if voltage is dropping bad and lights are dimming. If they are I would just get one d4s LTO lithium battery if you have a agm battery under your hood. If you have a regular lead acid battery probably would get a agm for your system. Probably a XS Power d3400 they are both good battery’s for holding power but not crazy amounts!
Sounds great all you need to do is get rid of that mechman and get an auto tech engineering alternator and your volts will hold. I have the same amp in my bronco and marvels hold at 14.8 and does not drop. I also have the voltage control that goes all the way up to 15.8 check it out.

Do you like the placement of your Rockford component sets? I have Rockford Punch components. 4-6.5's and 4-1" tweets, that will be run off of a Rockford Fosgate Punch 600 4 channel- birthsheet at 2ohms is 836rms. I have baffles for all mids and will stuff them with poly fill. I have 2-18" Skar EVL's in a 10cuft box run with a JP33. It puts out 4K rms in 1 ohm load. I have 2 batteries, none lithium, big 3 all with 0 gauge ofc. I have 2 runs of 0 gauge from the engine bay to the cargo area in a 08 Yukon Denali. None of this is installed yet. I have another system in my Yuk. I'll need a ALT, some lithium batteries I know. I'm concerned about the component placement. So, you like your placement?
That’s gonna sound good man, I like the components and I like where I have them for now. the tweeters are loud and can hear them on each door as well with mids. My bass outdoes my midrange so I’m gonna go get door pods and go 2 speakers in each door most likely to fix that problem.

I have no doubt you'll need 4 mids per front door and dual 8" loud speakers for the rear doors. Thats what I've planned for anyways. Thanks for the info. I have my box right at 10.5 - 11 cubic feet after displacement, and tuned too 34-35, definitely would tune lower to like 30 tho. box is about 44 inch wide

Wire the positive from one voice coil to opposite negative on each one, then all the remaining positives together straight to the positive on amp and all the remaining negatives together to the negative on the amp to get a 1 ohm load from 4 dual 2 ohm subs.

I really do appreciate it man, and i will make a more in detail video of how I did it soon, but basically just plugged charger onto the battery brackets (positive, negative) and have the power cord ram under my carpet to my under my rear seat to give them a charge just got to plug it into extension cord whenever. It does help maintain the batteries!
You're running some high voltage for those LTO's and AGM. It's recommended to be ran at 14.4 for them both, and max for the LTO's at 14.8. I have 4 of the LTO's... and I'm running 14.8. Thinking about swapping them out for a cased LTO that can handle more voltage. Or getting a pcm controller for my alternator. I don't suffer much voltage drop. Have never been below 14.6 and at the amplifier it shows 15. I'm running a deaf bonce aak 6000k to two avatar 12 inch subs. Keep us posted. I wanna know if you run into any problems. Other than that, man. That thing is serious.
So far haven’t had 1 problem. At all. This system has done me perfect and the LTO’s recommend not being charged over 15 Volts so I haven’t ran into a problem

@@brentsounds do you use a DSP? It made me get everything out of my amp that I could! I got a PRV one for only $100.
@@1ohmwrecker I do not use a DSP I do plan on running one, does it help the amp much more?
@@brentsounds yeah it helped me get so much more out of it. I've got a few videos. But probably cuz I use a Lc2i and taramps has terrible crossovers. So it gives me all the tuning I need.
