Absolutely this band should be in the rock and roll hall of fame, it’s a shame how cruel the music industry is. Another story of a great band getting ripped off by greedy heartless scumbags management.

Yes, terribly sad. Ripped off by their manager. Would have become a Supergroup. Superbly talented, great shame about passing of two main singers/songwriters. XX Rip Pete and Tom. Always be remembered.

I worked for his brother John ...in his Music Store... I met Peter a few times... he was a really nice guy... his death effected the family so badly they never recovered from it! I even played a few of his guitars... including his Les Paul Black Beauty and a Gibson SG given to him from George Harrison...as well as a Gibson EB3 bass ...

I never met any of the guy's . Like their family's i have never recovered from their deaths either. R.I.P. Pete and Tom .I am sorry for what that scumbag did to you guy's, if you could read my mind then you will at least have some satisfaction. The POS that drove you to it will be in the lake of fire for eternity and not one inch of his body will have been unburnt , he will be screaming in agony forever.

@@saintpreferred9223 Lennon had nothing to with Badfinger at all. Only song that McCartney wrote was Come and Get it, it seemed right because it was for the movie with Ringo in it and the Beatles had recently signed them to Apple Records and McCartney wanted to write their first hit being that they were under Apple. Pete Ham of Badfinger was reluctant thinking that they should write their own hits but eventually agreed seeing that it could springboard them into the charts and how can you say no when McCartney is offering? McCartney wrote the song and put everything together and told them to record it exactly like he did and it would be a hit and it was. That was the only song that was written by any Beatles member, McCartney played the tambourine (i think) on Come and Get It. George Harrison was pretty close with Badfinger, mainly helping produce some songs/albums and credited for playing the slide guitar on Day After Day which was Badfinger's song.

Same here (almost, 1963). Whenever I hear these songs I'm instantly back in our living room on a cold, dark winter morning, getting ready for school and listening to radio 1. I can almost taste the Ready Brek 🤗

What a great song. Perfect from the start till the end. What a tragic loss Pete and Tom were at such a young age. All because of a greedy manager. Thank god manager is dead now and can’t do any more harm. I’m sure he will get his justice down in hell where he belongs. RIP Pete and Tom. ❤

Great band, great song, and fabulous vocalist !!! To bad Pete Ham
took his own life, as the guy could do it all, writer, composer, and
fabulous vocalist, plus play numerous instruments. Giant talent he
was, and this band had a lot more in them to give the world.

@@kennethpeller7411 Badfinger was writing original songs before McCartney and Harrison came along and signed them because they were impressed by their songwriting and pure talent. Paul only wrote them 1 song because they had just signed to the Apple label and McCartney thought it would be a good idea to write them a hit to springboard their name out there, Pete Ham was reluctant to having someone else write their first big hit but thought it could help them and how could you turn down when McCartney was offering? everything else they wrote, George Harrison was close with them and helped produce some songs/albums and played slide guitar on a Badfinger original that became their biggest song in the US.

@@judis6224it wasn’t America it was a guy, Stan Polley. Springsteen, Petty, Queen to name just three artists were treated badly when they broke through getting paid a pittance or tied into rotten contracts but they managed to get out and went on to have long and successful careers. Many other bands or solo artists have been ripped off in the past. Sadly, Badfinger had two fatalities which should have never happened. They were two great parts of a tremendous group that deserved much better. We can still enjoy what Pete and Tom and the band left us, their music. It’s a shame they didn’t get to see how many fans loved them all those years later.
