This is a timeless classic and love 70's music. Who's still listening to this song on 10/27/2023? I'm 68 years old and will still be listening because it's an excellent song.
There are several clips on yt so I guess lots more views. But given the bad luck these guys experienced time over time, I'd not be surprised if the algorithms are misfiring. What talent they had and the warehouse of royalties the two lads missed out on RIP ❤
You certainly said a mouthful because today's music doesn't compare to something as wonderful such as this. I'm 68 years old and still listening on 10/27/2023.
‘You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone’. I wish I’d known at the time that it was never going to get any better than this; we took it all for granted. Later in the early 70s I thought things were okay but could only get better, -right?
This is wanna my top 10 songs of all time.Remmember it been on radio when I was 12 yrs old.Great it's been honoured.Sadly coz of the intensity of Pete H.This version does t cut it.Id of got up on stage and give it justice as I've listened to it 1000s of time.
Love this version. IIRC, instrumental tracks were pre-recorded-same arrangement-and vocals are most certainly live. This take was the first time I heard Tom's jam on "all", which always melts me.
Sandy, such a shame these guys as a band weren't around very long. Baby Blue and No matter what are such fun to play on guitar and instantly take me back. Thanks, Tim
like all secret treasures , only the few know it's whereabouts ... I don't want to share this with every Tom Dick & Harry ! ( though the uploader may disagree .... ) 😉
No lip syncing here; just great live music from a great band. I'd like to speak my mind about their manager, Stan Polley, but UA-cam would certainly remove it.
Badfinger’s 3rd released single came in at #7 on the billboard charts in 1970, was a very strong follow up to Come And Get released earlier in the year came in at #8 on billboard chart. This was the first Pete Ham written top 10 hit. Badfinger is sorely missed.
The COOLEST left head glance from Tom Evans Bass guitarist at Pete Ham lead singing at 2:21..LOL!! Now that is early 70's cool..Robert at 69. A very Keith Richards cool look and better looking without the mustashe.
My younger brother was in a band in the early 80’s whose manager was getting married. Scott just started playing keyboard but was asked to play the wedding march in the ceremony. Now among the managers other clients were Bonnie Raitt and Ian McLagen. Needless to say, my brother flubbed the march, and after Ian Mc Lagen walked up to him and with a grin said “ now you know why I turned him down”
Love it. But in the very beginning of the song it looks like the music starts before they are playing??? Anyway, great song, so sad what happened to them
And what makes it so sad was Peter's and Tommy's sad deaths. Straight up was my favorite Badfinger album. Take It All. Man takes me back to 1970s. Bayville and the nights on the beach with Kathy. I still havw the vinal of that record along with the cd. Name of the Game. Now thats a sad song.
I was never a fan of Gibson basses. I play with a Pic and could never get the sound I wanted on my SG bass. He normally played a P Bass. This is the first time I saw him with a Gibson. I like my Rickenbacker 4003, and my 2 Fenders. But the Ripper was used by Greg Lake. I always wanted to try one of those.
@@RobertGraziose ..yup. I have a 79 P bass as my back up, but my 2012 SG bass is my go to. Playing is the easy part, it's the singing that irks me - and yes, Greg Lake was a master at both.
takes me back to my first "house parties" with all my mates, trying, and usually failing, to impress the prettiest girl there... Great times when you are first exposed to music.
I'm 77, love BADFINGER since they record DAY AFTER DAY! Years '70! I was in shock when knew that tramp stole the money of the Group and PETER HAM hang. himself! I cryed for some months feeling very sad with that tragedy! I pray to God led his spirit in Divine Light for his resting in Peace! 😢 ❤ 🌼 🌷 🌹 🌺 🌻 🏵 !

Great tune great band very sad end ❤😢
There are several clips on yt so I guess lots more views.
But given the bad luck these guys experienced time over time, I'd not be surprised if the algorithms are misfiring.

Tragic ending for them.
Just cannot compare todays garbage with timeless classics like this. Thank you Sandy.
I couldn't agree more.I hope you also take a look/listen to the interview with Joey Molland. I think you'll enjoy it!

This specifically?...we tend to like what we grew up with so anything new is called "garbage"
I was a freshman in high school in 72. We loved their music❤
Truly one of the saddest rock stories ever ….
No matter the story Badfinger......we will akways stay with you. Brilliance❤
64 years old listening to it August 2024. Still enjoying it oldie🎸🎵🎶
Me too..many many times. Tragic life for these guys. Breaks my heart.
Yep
67 here. Loved this band. Still do❤
‘You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone’. I wish I’d known at the time that it was never going to get any better than this; we took it all for granted. Later in the early 70s I thought things were okay but could only get better, -right?
Tom Evans @2:04 so so good.
I personally thing they should be automatically inducted into the Rock n Roll hall of fame for that note alone 😮
One of my all time favorite songs! I could listen to this song everyday and never get tired of it.
Fabulous song, fabulous sound, fabulous group
Boys where ever You are.... were great musician, and so sad for The ending.
Great music..brings back so many memories...iam 67...yep and enjoying it.

A highly talented Welsh rock n roll band.

Such a sad ending for this great band 😢
Great harmonies
What a great band. So sad.
One of the best Beatles era songs
ICONS FOREVER AND EVER
Thank you very much GOD bless Always Philadelphia USA 🇺🇸 Nostrovia
Love this version. IIRC, instrumental tracks were pre-recorded-same arrangement-and vocals are most certainly live. This take was the first time I heard Tom's jam on "all", which always melts me.
Superb group, great music. Very sad ending for two lead singers, ripped off by their manager
"NO MATTER WHAT" This song really marked my adolescence.
All of them exaggeratedly hairy !!!!
Sandy, such a shame these guys as a band weren't around very long. Baby Blue and No matter what are such fun to play on guitar and instantly take me back. Thanks, Tim
What can you say about an epic song that deserves more recognition as does the band!

Pete Ham was a genius song writer and is sorely missed
Wow these fellows were bad ass live!
Love this song love the backing vocals ❤
The “live” version is tops, but Tom’s harmonies in this one are *chef’s kiss*
Love Bad Finger, love their music, so timeless
Still here 2024...So beautiful a sound.
Still listening to one of my all time favorites 💞
Pete Ham💛
2 members took their own lives, took their own lives-too tragic.
This is a good live version.
Poor naive lads from Wales... green as berries and easy pray for the heartless sharks.
😢😢😢
😢MAKES'ME MAD, AND SICK !!!! THAT HUMANS' 🙄 DO THIS TO EACH OTHER!!!!
Absolutely great!!!!!
Phil filled the open space with vocals...Hollies the hypnotic guitar.
You chose...
Badfinger were "The Next Beatles..Paul and George adored them..Paul wrote Come and get it and gave it to them.. instant hit.
You're 100% right. Take a listen to my interview with Joey Molland through the website www.abreathoffreshair.com.au I hope you enjoy it!
yes indeedy - and if memory serves me , Georgie Boy gave PH the guitar he played on this 🤩.
I'm 79 and still listen to it. Their songs are just fantastic as are their harmonies. Superb guitar work too!
George had Pete on stage with him for his Bangladesh concert.

I love this song. Actually I love this band. So under exposed. Actually one of the Beatles said Bad Finger was the Best Band in the early 60’s.
That would be 70's.
Banda espetacular curti muito esse som . Pena que acabou em tragédia
Had the ,45 single.
Loved the flip side.
Play it sometime.
They had so many solid songs odd that this one is overlook their sound will stand the test of time
I love Badfinger !!!

..love that growling Gibson bass.

brilliant classic gem😁
How great was that? Pete Ham on the SG that George Harrison gifted him, just a special effort.
I wish they would not have stole all there money rest in peace
Pete Ham’s voice was the greatest ❤
Love it love all the great hair also❤👏🏻
Supergroup. It doesn't get any better than this.
eine wunderbare Band !
takes me back to my first "house parties" with all my mates, trying, and usually failing, to impress the prettiest girl there... Great times when you are first exposed to music.
Great song. Great band. Dastardly, greedy manager.

It's all to common that the entertainment industry (if I can call it that) well Beyond Hollywood is a praying grounds for so many of the chosen.
No matter what Anna I want and love you
The drummer has a weird stick grip. Never seen it before, but it still sounds good.
knock down the old gray wall...be a part of it all.
Pete ham played a gibson sg, was a great singer songwriter so sad hes gone.
Shame the guitar playing isn't what's on the audio. Vocals = yes.
was that not Jimmy Saville?
Yes it was Jimmy Saville,he's another creep
These are the new Beatles. They were signed by Apple Records, who was owned by the Beatles.😊
🥲
Smoking up, listening to this in my car right now....🎃
