Three cheers for Silodrome!!! As the wonderful seventies still echoes on my mind, anything coming from that era is mostly welcomed. I’ve noticed the rego SENIIIA, a tribute to a legend: Ayrton SENNA da Silva. G’Day from Brisbane QLD Australia! Ricardo C. da Rocha Lima 50 Years of Motorcycling
Well, you've set yourself a pretty high benchmark to maintain here! Great footage, recording and editing, just enough facts for the nerds, good presenter and location, and the car... Great stuff Silodrome.
Beautiful car! Great visuals on this video. The narrative and commentary were well done also; I liked the flow between the history of the car and the description of this specific build. Mixing in some motorcycles for future films would be awesome 😏
Very interesting and well presented video, as a previous owner of a air cooled 911 I have a soft spot for them! Would be nice if you have some short films lined up on classic British motorcycles.
I have to refer you to the early petrolicious short films. I think we would prefer less of the nit-picky details such as which roll bars or size wheels the thing has. We'd prefer to hear it drive and learn about the owner's relationship with the car. There's more to the story than the spec sheet. And please, air-cooled 911's get so much attention. How about something interesting?
Good video. Like the Charteuse colour. Personally I would retain the OEM headlamps, rear lamps, and earlier round mirrors and ditch the visible fuel cap. It is not a modern Mini!
Period correct puritans be damned, coming from the motorcycle world and I'm here to tell you, customization is the spice of life. The first thing all bikers do on just about any motorcycle is chop and bob the tail, even on a top notch superbike... this must be done immidiately before its first ride, if nothing more than a liscense plate holder...
Hmmm - nice video. I like the presentation and details. Still would be even better if he learned to pronounce Porscheeeee the right way. You would not say Bugatt or Range Rove ... would you ? I find it disturbing.
Whatever bro. I have the shields on my Fuchs pointed AWAY from the valve stems just to weed out people like you. Anyone who points out that they “should” be pointed towards the valve stems is no one I want to talk to. The Porsche name thing is like that. And before you go into the lame argument about how it’s disrespectful can you say without a shadow of doubt that you pronounce every car manufacturer name properly? How about every city or town that you visit when on vacation? How about every name of every person you meet? If you pronounce a single one of any of those incorrectly then your a hypocrite for complaining about how some bloke pronounces Porsche.
This is my holy grail of automobile
The driving pleasure at its best.
There is no substitute. THIS IS IT.
No modern car comes even close.
I should have Never Sold my 1973 911-T... The Pain is real.
Whatever you think of rebuilding icons from the past in a modern way, the video is superb, powerful and a joy to watch. Keep it coming.
Just followed your channel, I love the Elise.
love the colour and the build is awesome. great filming too guys

Much appreciated Matt! We have a few film concepts in the planning stage and this one is definitely on the high end of the spectrum.
That shift knob ... !!! Nice homage to the 917!
Thank for posting! Excellent video.
Beautifully captured!
Thanks Brelinda!
Wonderful car. With bullet mirrors and without the auxiliary headlights, it would be perfect.
Wonderful 911 Porsche All The Best Of Health Everyone.
Great work. Nice car. Thank you.
Glad you like it!
Beautiful done...
Nice video, car build, interview, estate, etc....
Wonder if the black donuts are still on the bricks!
Liked and subbed
Beautiful car!

Agreed, Darryl did an excellent job, I think he belongs on TV.
Great video! Saved for additional viewing 👍🏻
Hey thanks Jim!

Thanks Roger, I have a soft spot for old British bikes too so we're working on it!
Great video! Hope to see more of that content in the future
Thanks Michal, stay tuned as we've got more on the way!
@@Silodrome Glad to hear that
Let us know in the comments what you'd like to see in upcoming films, we'll be reading them all and responding.

You should listen to that guy ↑
Would love to know more about the engine internals, cam choices, compression ratios, etc.
Love Love Love this!
Nothing I'd change about this car.
Good video. Like the Charteuse colour.

Yessssss 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍
So sick.
Agreed 100%
Chartreuse green is perfect on this car.
"White Grand Prix" too.
I would love it if you added DISQUS to Silodrome.com. I often wish I could tell you how much I enjoy reading your web site. Nice film here!
Thanks for the kind words Wingnut!
Can you do anything with motorcycles ?
Planning on it very soon
Yeah, I was gonna ask for the same thing. Some Moto videos would be great!
Gorgeous car. Is it an original Porsche colour?
Amazing
Love this car and colour. Is it apple green or lime green?
Good question, I'll ask them and report back.
Chartreuse. Period correct but never very popular at the time.
Looks like colour code 226 Lime green is same as chartreuse. www.356-911.com/modelinfo/911colours/911colours7173.htm
Q. Is that Acid Green ?
I'm curious how these compare to Singers in terms of build quality and price 🤔
Wow this is BBC level of film
Hey thanks Donny!
Old targa, that's my dream.
Are the fender flares on an ST different than those on an 80s 911 turbo?
I suspect so but I'm not sure
WOW!
Anybody else notice the Rolex logo on the tach? How much would this car cost to have built? Any guesses?
Are there "bi iode" head lights ?
👍
What's with the Rolex tach dials?
I was wondering the same thing. My guess is that it’s as simple as someone painted Rolex logos onto some dials.
That's a good question, I'll send off an email to Paul at Rennsport to get the backstory on them.
How much
I always thought bhp meant british horsepower. So it's brake horsepower.

Lets talk about the DROOL INDUCING Rolex gauges.....
I love those too.
"fooshes"?
Fuchs are a famous alloy wheel manufacturer closely associated with Porsche, they used them on a lot of factory racing Porsches back in the day.
@@Silodrome i was mocking the pronunciation ;)
Take it out on a real road & drive it like you stole it... babying it doesn't do ca-ca
xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
The guy builds and modifies these cars for years...and still doesn't know how to pronounce the name Porsche properly. Ridiculous.
