If You buy 2 separate strings can You connect them together. Or by using the camera can You have them working together when it checks all the positions of the leds?
Unfortunately no, you can't connect them in series (not even with the camera). The closet thing would be DreamView which can sort of treat many of your Govee lights as one big scene and manage whatever effect you choose across them for a comprehensive view.
I have a 7.5 foot tree and the string lights I show are the 66 foot variant, and it's not a skinny tree either. I think the 66 foot variant should be long enough for yours unless you have like a super duper wide tree or something.
@@akiotatsuki2621 Nice! I was worried that 99 feet wasn't enough for my 7.5 tree. So I ordered a second set not realizing that you can't connect multiple sets, really kind of silly that you can't do that. What do people with huge tress like 16 feet and 20 feet do? Lol..
No direct Homekit to be found here. It is Matter compatible... but Matter is still in a pretty unfinished practically broken state. I need to do a video about that... on the list.
Just bought the 66ft version for my Christmas tree. The kiddos are gonna go crazy constantly changing the lights.
That will be so much fun to watch, I'm sure!
i got the 20m one with 200 leds is it normal to come with some dead leds? 3 are dead with mine - is it worth it to rma it or is this the "norm"
No, you shouldn't expect it to come with any dead LEDs. I'd exchange it personally.
What is recommended to protect the power adapter?
Is 99 feet long enough for a 7.5 foot tree?
Yes i think so. What you’re seeing in my video is a 7.5 foot tree and the 66 foot length option.
Can you tell me how you did the effect at 4:23 . That would fit my scenes perfectly. Also, how do I get to the mapping option??
I drew that particular affect. I'll see it's possible to share so it shows up in the DIY section for other people.
@@anorakerthank you so much!
Does the new version have the option for individual, speed controlled twinkling lights?
I noticed you didn’t focus much on the mapping feature and did show the results on your tree.

@@anorakerThat's just ridiculous. What if you have a huge tree and need multiple sets?
@@Superman-xr1oh Best you can do is link them up with Dreamview. Not a perfect answer, alas.
Can you string two 99 ft lights and have it function as one?
They won't directly connect. But what you can do is group them together with Govee's Dreamview and make them act as one.
@ thanks that’s what I meant. Not physically connect them but in the app if I can group them together so they act like it’s one
@@islandsnow Govee's Dreamview does that essentially, yes. It's not a perfect mapping mind you, but they work together as a greater whole.
I have a 7 ft tree. Does a 64 ft suffice or should I go with the 99 ft? TIA

I have a 6.5 and am about to order the 99ft because I love tons of lights on my tree will let you know how it goes when they get in.
@@akiotatsuki2621How did it go?
@@Superman-xr1oh swimmingly went around with each layer maybe 6 inches apart and still had 1-2 foot left after hitting the top

Hi is it gen 2 bright then gen 1.i have gen 1 it's not enough bright but color it's nice.thanks
I don't think they're necessarily brighter, so much as look much better in person.
@@anoraker thanks
Will these sync to music with the music box?
They already sync to music on their own!
Why you kinda look like Saul Goodman tho.
I don't know... I kind of think of myself as a Nobody...
