I was gonna say too, I have PCOS, so I could do all the working out and clean eating and still have a really hard time losing weight.
Period cramps can be debilitating! When I was in high school, I know girls who were unable to come to school some days because their period cramps were so bad. Thankfully, mine aren’t that bad compared to other people’s, but a lot of women experience horrible cramps. I still don’t want to exercise for the day that I’m experiencing mine. Why would we want to exercise when we’re having horrible effects from our period? This girl is so rude.

I work at a gym and literally if anyone talked to people about fitness the way she did, they’d be fired right on the spot. People really need PROPER encouragement and this is not it.. not by a thousand miles.

Exactly, like she said everyone pays a personal trainer to berate them into getting fit and looking like them, but that is NOT the case. I got one to help teach me how to use the machines and help increase the strength/flexibility in my bad knee. I needed someone who was patient, positive, and knowledgeable, and she did a wonderful job encouraging me to push myself, while still respecting my limitations.

Right! I was under the impression that a personal trainer came up with a workout and diet plan that fit their clients lives and goals. According to her they just make you do the same thing they do diet and fitness wise whether its realistic for you or not. I dont think she really knows what a personal trainer does.

I dont expect to be babied at a job or learning a new skill, I just expect to be treated with dignity and respect.
I will change my hairdresser, my restaurant order, my therapist and even my "life partner" if its not taking my needs into account, and not working out for me. And I get some people will go to extreme lengths in order to be able to chat with their idols, or be mentored by someone with celebrity status expertise in like an unpaid intership. But these people are neither experts, or celebrities; so I really don't know who the fck do they think they are, or why should I care about what they have to say.

This was literally my meeting at varsity today - announcements, future plans, really listening to input, and genuine care. I would nope the hell out if I started getting cursed and/or shouted at. The way they speak is so damaging.

The personal trainer analogy really gets me. I am one. How she compared being a BS Monat rep with no credentials to a CPT who committed themselves to being competent and reputable and has to maintain the cert with ongoing education....it’s insulting.
I was wondering how actual trainers would feel. I watch Briannah Jewel and have taken a college level yoga class taught by a real professional as well. It bugged me when this woman acted like pain was normal and good. My yoga teacher always said feeling uncomfortable or stretched is good, but if you feel actual pain then you need to stop so you don't injure yourself

I do it on the side because I’m so passionate about health and wellness and people achieving their goals and becoming more confident. I paid a good bit for a reputable certification and continue my education outside of the necessary credits for recert. So yeah it’s insulting seeing this chick come on here acting like she’s an expert in business/coaching/mentoring when she’s coming across as a smug bully.
Bethany- I have worked with many personal trainers, and none of them have EVER been mean and angry like this girl- they've always been kind and encouraging. I am so annoyed she comparing herself to a trainer- who is actually trying to help you succeed for real! It's genuine.

I may use her video for "How not to mentor" and "Bad mentoring examples". MLMs seem to extend the high school cliques. She is definitely one of the mean girls.

as a server, i’m appalled at the entitlement in how this woman spoke to another server, if that story is even true. I would’ve talked to my manager to kick her weird ass out of the restaurant. also, I have a good server friend who sold monat as a side “hustle” and decided to go back to cosmetology school instead because he wasn’t making ANYTHING with monat.
This is putting down every server devaluing them, their worth, and their humanity. Many servers actually like their jobs. She is just awful.

I'm not sure if you will see this. But I am a former MLMer and your videos made me question a lot of things that I have learned while I was in an MLM. You mentioning that leadership is more like a trait and boss is a position is the biggest one for me. Its been about 1 or 2 years since I left the MLM that I was doing for 2 years. And I want to say thank you for making me realise that I could've ended up as crazy as some of these people if I stayed. I do consider myself lucky that not many bridges have been burned and I still have my main group of friends, I wish other people were just as lucky. Please keep doing what you do.

I just wanted to add that tidbit re: gender in MLMs since the MLM industry & their predation is so gendered, esp stuff about weight loss/appearance, like what the girl in this video was saying about "hating your body." I think it's shitty to call your downline/employees/subordinates 'girls' in general anyway, regardless of their gender. it's also very shitty that MLMs' obsession with eurocentric beauty standards and the way they target ppl struggling and play off the idea of building generational wealth etc has some bad racist connotations (like CC says when she talks about IM academy). it's a mess!

She's trying to make it seem like they're two similar sized groups IMO. Dividing them like that basically into where most are and where they want to be. Rather than talking to 97% and 3% respectively, it makes it seem like it's kind of 50/50.
