Hi great informative video, I have a question if I may, do you have video about EGR? How it works ? because I have a 2019 Kenworth t680 with Paccar mx 13 with the code: SPN 2791 Engine Exhaust Gas Recirculation 1 Valve 1 Control 1 FMI=13 - Out of Calibration. do you know if it can be re-calibrated? or do I need to buy a new EGR? Really appreciate any advice thank you
Normally the egr valve is mounted by the egr cooler. How many hours? You can try to recalibrate but normally check the harness make sure it not damaged. The egr valves tend to go bad internally most of the time when you see that. So I replace the egr valve not the cooler
Hi, I have the old style on a 2015 paccar mx13. I put a brand new doser valve on and at the wire connector im getting 13.8 volts on both prongs and its not opening with engine running. When I shut the truck off its getting 13.8 volts on one prong and around 9 volts on the other prong and you can hear it clicking like its opening and closing cycling the def pressure back. Do you have any idea why the doser wouldnt be opening while the truck is running? Thanks for any info
Lot of reasons why, you will have to get the truck to someone that has Davey software to run some diagnostics test which should answer a lot of questions quickly. Not the answer you wanted to hear but I seen to many parts cannon repairs that get out of hand
1. What lead you to that component 2. What codes are present. 3 is the def pump priming? 100 to 129 psi 4.when was the last time you serviced the filter on the def pump. 5 what are the ohms on the injector coil? 6 is the line clear of obstacles or restrictions? Etc. etc. are the faults SCR inefficient? Are the calibration/flash files up to date?
I can see it like it was yesterday we flip the hood open on a C13 in late 2006 and was shocked at how crowded the engine looked with the after treatment on it and from then on it’s been nothing but headaches, regardless of the brand at first they all were a headache but fast forward and clearly Cummins is by far the simplest one out of the bunch
@@sonofmontezuma3732 yup... And some countries have banned the use of it. Seems blowing firtlizer out of the exhaust and onto the infrastructure isn't the best idea.. steel bridges and overpasses have been severely impacted by it
Awesome, thank you. Many blessings.
Such a good in depth video! Thank you
Be watching for my upcoming video on def pump 2nd design service & testing
I'd also like to see if possible how to test the pump.
The pump can be tested only by using insight software

I have a 2011 UD2300, it looks just like the 1rst gen you have. I am wondering if it can fit. Bc the dealer charge @$800 just for the part.
What is a UD2300? But yes I have seen folks make them work
Made by Nissan. It’s a rollback tow truck or box truck same type system.
@@sonofmontezuma3732 I just order from Amazon like $45. I don’t know if that’s good or not.
@@AnhHaiCanTho the valve works off 110 to 130 psi , does the Nissian pump that psi out?
@@AnhHaiCanTho sounds good to me
Can I take apart the new style and clean it. If so how would u clean?
The def DOSER or the diesel DOSER we talking about ?
The only thing you can do is soak it in warm water the mechanical part the electrical part does not like the water
Does this need to be taken out & cleaned
Yes, Cummins calls it out in the service . The tip can have build up
