Frampton's happiness is incredible!
It sure is , so great to see that much genuine joy
Agree. He looked like he could not have been more joyful.
He is such a happy person, every video he's in. He loves music so much, you can see his passion in his face.
If I could play guitar like him I'd be happy all the time too! 👍🤗
And totally infectious!
I always regret the lack of recognition Frampton has had. FOR ME he is one of the great guitar players, next to Clapton, Santana, etc
Hey there !
U are right in a way but , remember when he was king of guitar 76. \m/
I don't hnow..but what I see here is disaster. Joe should never play with amateur..he had like 100 mistakes..damn
@@cutittaierau3128 U mean Peter ?
I know it wasn't flawless but that's the beauty of winging it. Jam and Improvisation. He rock's though .
Stratstyle 97 I've never seen your name in the top guitarists list. I wonder why.
@@cutittaierau3128 Frampton has a medical condition that is robbing him of his ability to play. that's why he is retiring. the mistakes are due to his physical condition.
What a duet! What fine playing! The joy on Frampton's face is a thing to behold. Outstanding.
this was killer. peters sheer happiness made the whole song. ya know his tone is freakin off the hook too. has anyone noticed how good the dude next to him is?
Whoever was there definitely got their money's worth! What a performance!
First saw Frampton with Humble Pie.... so, so talented
Me too. Those were the days . .
@@scottcarlon6318 yep, me too
Love it when musicians share the stage such as this. Peter, your playing is eternal. Awsum to see your Phoenix is back in your arms.
Pete looks so happy and would not be anywhere else
THAT TRUTHFULLY BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE...
ua-cam.com/video/gVf4TIrY0jI/v-deo.html
Bonamassa, one of the modern greats, playing and paying homage to present and past legends with a touch of class. Sail on Joe.
Really fun! Playing off each other like that makes smiles!!!
"Joe Corporate" still at it. Price check at the ticket counter please...
I have played guitar for almost forty years and Joe is one of the very best IMO
Yeah, I’d take Frampton’s soloing here over Joe’s. His myocitis might be kicking in but it’s not all about smoothness and speed it’s about the notes.
Wow. Amazing. Rock on. What a perfomance.
ua-cam.com/video/gVf4TIrY0jI/v-deo.html
It just doesn't get any better than this .....what a show ....I really love great music like this .....
Put: 'Best Guitar Duel Ever,' in UA-cam search, complete madness.
You know Frampton is the Master when you see Joe just looking at him in awe.
Joe just letting Peter have his time !
This is a terrible version. They both made a mess of their parts. They had the benefit of 45 years f hearing done originally by the master. Eric Clapton got put on the spot by surprise by George Harrison. Paul, Ringo and John heard a different version the day before and pronounced it a funeral dirge. EC learned, played and fixed it in well under an hour. Thus musical history was made. This version is garbage.
@@garypaquin9571 , The EC version is pretty basic compared to this
@@garypaquin9571 Music is not a competition, Gary. Yet, still, you just won 1st prize for impertinence.
2 great guitarists enjoying playing a great Harrison song
Frampton is still jammin! Thank you Peter and Joe for the memorable guitar celebration
Very true, genious of a guitarist Frampton is,he deserves a place in the top slot with Clapton, Gilmore, Beck, and Knopfler.
I Saw Peter perform this several years ago at the same show he came out and played lead on the Thrill is Gone for B.B.King.
How in the world does anyone with ears give this a thumbs down? Two classic guitar players enjoying each other’s company conversing with their guitars.
Well done PF....pleasure to watch and listen, thank you....please carry your wonderful dream on......
Nice combination ,seems that Joe and Peter only understand what they want in playing lead guitar ,,with nice sound of duet of lead guitar ..both of them were great
Wow!! Awesome performance. Thank you both.
A simple "Like" just seems so understated after those behemoths of blues guitar played their hearts out. I would have given my life to have been in the audience for that performance from two of my favourite players. Just loved it ❤
Peter Frampton taking Joe Bonamassa to school. How much feeling to play, terrifick guitarist and artist and so underrated. Frampton has always been a very humble artist and he knows how to express as few his feelings in his classic Custom Les Paul.
I remember always Frampton ,cross my hands on the keyboard cross my hands ! Like he was playing while praying !I got pulled over in my Fairlane gt one night in high school for cruising with Kmart mind blowers cranked listening to Frampton !
The absolute Joy on Frampton's face says it all.........
Dear Ricky, You're sooo right. it almost brought me tears
Even Clapton would enjoy this. Wow!
This is not a dueling, is a conversation between friends, from respect and sympathy. Thank you for this great performance guys!
Is that lady in the back rubbing out an orgasm to this song? Look at her hand😄 7:20
Nice words👍😎😎
@@danielbell1168 hi
,,i
Yup, Pete didn’t want to go home that night. I believe his spirit is still playing on that stage no matter where he is currently. So good to see.
@@danielbell1168 God I hope so.
Hit that high note very impressively, nice
George would be looking down from Heaven on Pete and Joe with tremendous pride! Great version of a classic song !🎤🎸🎸♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️😢
George? Washington?
Two absolute greats together playing a classic song by George Harrison. Peter whom i have met here in OZ, was having a great time, you could see it it his face. I think Joe was totally enjoying one of the great British legends himself that he gets inspiration from. Joe not dissimilar to Rory, breaks a string and keeps going showing his professionalism and experience.Great video. KTBA
I always enjoy to see peter frampton live, the reason is simply because he enjoy himself, there is another reason, he became a better guitar player as the years passing by, i love his album from 2010, one of his best in his long career
sublime earsplitting guitar duel by two virtuosos!!!
speechless, great musicianship
Simply amazing, love them both ! Thank you from The Philippines !
The pleasure in his eyes!!
Totally enjoyable! Great show, great cruise and great talent! Thank you!
This is QUALITY , Excellent ! Frampton is a total performer . Voice , Stage presence and great guitar player. He wasn't a typical penatonic player like clapton and others, he played mixolodian and jazz scales even back in late 60's .
One of a kind
Absolutely Awesome and thank you for posting this one
That was epic! Hope someone captured a professional recording of this show.
Phenix sounds soooo good. So glad he got her back. Unbelievable ❤....RIP GEORGE❤
Peter might have some snow on the mountain ( grey hair) but I hope he never shows his age Young at heart and a soul of pure Gold WOW
Admire the respect Joe has for Peter . Who doesn’t know Peter
He is an icon, and a great human . He impacted to millions of ppl around the world .
Peter Frampton is one of my favorite rock artist ,i bought his double album ,Frampton comes Alive ,that was 1976..
I remember the best bit was so low you had to turn the stereo up to eleven just to hear it, don't think many people noticed that vocoder bit!
Lucky cruise participants - two guitar prodigies with their very special style of playing share the stage - a moment for eternity. This Harrison gem of a song is predestined for endless and magic guitar solos. And so it is. They like each other`s style and Frampton is absolutely enthusiastic about to playing with his fellows and especially with Joe. Thanks for posting.
Youv'e got to give George Harrison credit for writing a guitar song where you could just sit and watch two incredible guitarists bounce off each other like this all day long.
And letting EC play lead in the original recording
@@johnpetergeronimo my comment too .. E.C. made the song what it is.. was .. can be .....
That's why GEORGE is a up there with the GREATEST ROCK Musician, the man was a GOD of ROCK and Roll. And these two, jest let them play and wonder at their PERFECTION. GOD'S OF ROCK AND ROLL. PEACE BE WITH YOU MY FRIEND, S ✌✌✌😎😎😎
The base and structure of this song allows so much room for individual expression and interaction without turning into a boring jam session.
Genius George.
Desde ARGENTINA...¡¡GREAT!!!🌹👌👌👌👌
Simply AWESOME performance. Frampton even takes care of Joes string issue mid riff. Truly outstanding.
I love it! Look at the huge smile on Peter's face. Prayers Peter.
I love the way Joe doesnt play over Peter theres respect
Totally... that wind at 5min30secs coincidentally gave joe a rad vibe... A godly like presence, for lack of a better word.
Masters clearly enjoying their incredible talent. A true tribute,
The fact Joe went to 5 strings and down an octave 2/3s of the way through the jam without missing a beat...#legend
My guitar always weeps when I play her!
But I think she ‘s trying to tell me something!
Maybe “put me the f....ck down ,you can’t play a flipping note”😰🤭😬
Farid Dennoun Now that's funny...I think the same.
@@mikeromeo8905 Mine too😃
Thanks for sharing! Pure heaven
More than Peter coming alive
on this One..
Joe pulling out all the stops even after the string break... well played!
Frampton having such a good time playing with someone on his level!
now this raw true talent and MUSIC!!!!!
TRUMP PENCE 2020!!
In the top 3 live performances I wish I'd seen live :-)
(Hendrix Woodstock, Beatles recording at Abbey road, and this) Paddy,UK.
You might consider: SRV playing Texas Flood and Little Wing at the El Mocambo; Terry Kath and Chicago at Tanglewood; and last but best: Danny Gatton (The Humbler Stakes His Claim) live album right here on UA-cam demonstrates why he is revered.
@@commanderthorkilj.amundsen3426 your suggestion includes amazing musicians but it's a bit arrogant to suggest I don't know my own personal top 3 mate 🤦🏻♂️
Daddy Paddy You misinterpret, Mr. Paddy, as do many overly-sensitive folks unskilled at critical thinking. These are merely suggestions.
This made me cry. Beautiful.

I have been reawaken to the beautiful tonality of the Les Paul
vaya lo maximo ,, la cuerda prima el mi# se le rompio al joe y como el piter lo salvo ,, esto es lo maximo ,, al que sabe de musica ,, gracias ,, !
Fatima, this beautiful dual guitar solo reminds me of you and our passionate love story!! Intense but gentle!! Extraordinarily and tranquil!! I love you baby for all of eternity!!❤️❤️
Awesome! Peter Frampton is always GREAT! Always.
My favorite artists covering this song have always been Jeff Heally, saw him live, was a one of a kind performance / show, and of course the amazing Paul Gilbert, Peter Frampton giving everybody out there a run for there money on this song lately. SWEET !!! I hope he keeps inviting other artists to join him on this song. Coolness indeed !
this is George Harrison's song...
@@nrvantu1267 And all along the watchtower is Bob Dylan's song.....
Wow. That was incredible!

This brought me to tears......
@stratstyle 0031 , how many gold records do you have on the wall. if you would have done your homework , Peter was in near fatal car crash in 1978 , that led to his many personal and medical issues , hear if you want to know more on him read this link from wikipedia of a great guitar legend.

Peter Frampton waouh... c'est un phénomène
Dois guitarristas incríveis! Frampton é um injustiçado! deveria estar no roll de Clapton, Beck, etc
ua-cam.com/video/gVf4TIrY0jI/v-deo.html
Joe is an Ambassador of classic rock and blues . next generation.
Highlighting the work of greats .
Joe Bonamassa is one of the best Guitar Duelists out there 👌🏻
ua-cam.com/video/gVf4TIrY0jI/v-deo.html
It wasn't note perfect and the vocals were weak in parts but the guitars slowly built up to an immense crescendo and continued to built until the end. It must have been amazing to have been there in the crowd and feel the emotion of Peter and Joe playing together. That's what live music is all about.
MarkJT1000 a couple of bum notes early on by Frampton but the originality of this, with the duelling guitars and especially Frampton’s choice of notes over the whole fretboard, is outstanding. What an addition to the UA-cam WMGGW canon.
Considering Frampton was 70 or so the time, I think we can forgive him a few weaknesses.
An absolutely stellar performance. What more can be said?
Peter Frampton has worn out so many of my Tape Decks and CD Players.. Great respect!! Awesome Dou with Joe!! Many Many Thanks!!
A fantastic tune preformed by two great guitar pickers.
ABSOLUTELY great
Amazing
Damn great!!!!!!
Mr Frampton still sounds like his umble pie days
Drop the "H"
Very cockney , eh what?
Ain't nothing like loving your job.

great guitar duet !!

Awesome, wish I had been there! I've seen Joe live but never Peter. Peter is a legend. Joe is fantastic!
5:11 Damn, thisss is what people mean when they say that a Les Paul can sound like a cello (or violin in this case)
Dois monstrosssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!
Viva o solooooooo viva a improvisação!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that jam was amazing
Amazing ...... and when JB broke a string still kept gigging in the stratosphere
Also the Erik Giles clip is great too on the same cruise
framton is a teacher of the guitar
Take me here,so I can forget all else !
Dwayne Tempest yeh i can go with that!
What communication...what a jam...WOW
Joe is great...he always knows how to be the frontman AND the sideman....and the sea air is hard on strings :)
I love the mutual respect going on here and they r having fun.
Two of my favourites: "do you feel like we do" live from 1973 is a rock milestone... Joe Bonamassa... I'm telling you, for me the strongest of the last 20 years!! This piece together is just pure enjoyment!!! Thanks
WOW!
That magical moment when you feel the Greatness within their heart ... total respect and a love of music.
Un gran cantante y guitarrita que asta hoy lo sigo escuchando👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
What a duo! I'm sure they've had a brief practice, but 2 of the best guitarists just getting together to jam and do the best they can. Both of them guys are always trying to please the crowd, but do what they love and treat it with dignity!
Grande grandes peter
When I was a kid and Frampton Comes Alive came out I learned almost every song (I more like faked it). What a great era for young musicians. I was devastated when I heard about his condition, but I know he will play for many more years. Thank you Peter.
