I have the Limited edition, don’t feel the calligraphy offers enough difference for the extra 2 thousand dollar price difference. I love my Limited edition.
Good morning I'm reading a comment you were picking up a santa fe about 7mths ago. How do you like it. Any regrets not buying the palisade? I'm starting to look now. Any advice Thanks Teddy
@@commoncents456 I have no regrets. I really like the heads up display and the vehicle has great safety features the palisade was too big for me I didn't need a third seat... For what you get with a Hyundai it's tough to I looked at a lot of SUVs... Plus the warranty is the best in the business
Question?? Looking at Calligraphy 2022 low miles. Loved the drive. I am wondering if there is a ride sound difference with the limited. Also wondering if the Calligraphy 20 tires feel different than the 19 inch on the Ltd.??
One thing I noticed is that the Calligraphy offers the Diamond trim plastic on the interior, rather than the Hounds tooth plastic which is seen in every other model.
A salesman at the dealership told me that the Calligraphy has more sound insulation, and better insulated driver and front passenger side window glasses, and therefore offers quieter ride. This was after I told him that a quiet ride was one of my main considerations. I have not had a chance to drive them back to back so could not compare the quietness. Is there any truth to the claim that the calligraphy has a quieter ride overall? I would think that if anything, the wider tires and bigger wheels on the Calligraphy would contribute to more road noise.
I have not heard about more insulation on the Calligraphy in specific but the acoustic laminated front side glass comes on the SEL Premium, Limited, and Calligraphy. Tires can make a big difference in overall sound inside of the cabin so even though the tires have less sidewall (which generally doesn't help) the tread compound could be less noisy. I would recommend driving them back to back if possible but both are going to be very quiet on the inside.
@@CarsMadeSimple So you feel they are about the same in quietness? I have not found any local dealer who has both Limited and Calligraphy available for test drive, so cannot compare.
Know this is late, but both the Limited and Calligraphy have the acoustic laminated side glass in the front doors, as does the SEL with the premium package. I am not aware of any differences in any other insulation. As far as the wheels and tires go, the Calligraphy will have a slightly more firm ride, but not significant. Not sure abiutnoise there.
Is the Calligraphy quieter than the Limited? Is noise insulation better? Also, if I want an aftermarket spare tire to be installed under the vehicle, which trim should I buy?
Our limited has the two tone interior. We found several with that option. We like the nineteen inch wheels with more sidewall flex for a more comfortable ride and a longer lasting tire. Other options on the calligraphy were not of enough value for us.
@@deanwiliams8374I'm not a car person but in the market for Santa fe.. I thought 20" wheel was better ride but I don't know anything about it.. is 20"wheel on calligraphy just for aesthetics?
@@Katie-vy5rd There is only so much space in a wheel well for a tire. The 20" rim has a tire with a shorter sidewall, thus making the tire slightly more "stiff." The 19" wheel has a slightly taller sidewall thus allowing more "flex" and thus a little better ride. The tires are P235-55-19 and P255-45-20. The first set of numbers is the width of the tire in millimeters. The second number is the ratio of the sidewall height to the tire width. The larger the number, the taller the sidewall. The last two digits are the size of the rim, in this case they are 19" and 20" respectively.
Good morning What an amazing review. I'm going to be looking at them when the weather warms up. High of 15 degrees. I love the blue. Anyone regret not getting the palisade. I'm struggling
I vote for the Calligraphy!. Over the course of many years of buying and leasing cars, I generally went with the top of the line for any of them. Equipment, appliance , and car makers, put all their technologies into the top of the line product, and then strip down from there. I will give this vehicle a serious look when my 22 MDX lease comes due August 2024. Maybe Hyundai provides a Hybrid Calligraphy in 2024?. IMHO, gas/electric Hybrid is the way to go.
I bought the 2022 premium with convenience package when it came out. The calligraphy was 50k vs 38k and I just couldn’t justify the extra for a turbo, wheels, and upgraded leather. I’d love to hear your take on if I’d be worth a trade in for a calligraphy with higher miles for the experience
Looking at the 2022 packaging, I believe there is a reasonable difference between the SEL Premium and the Calligraphy. Whether it is worth trading? That is another question. I have seen some lower mile, CPO 2021/22 Calligraphy's for just over $40k.
Does 2022 limited trim has wireless android auto? Any thoughts please? I bought a used 2022 limited trim last week. Some saying it has wireless android auto some saying not. Can you please help?
I wish car manufacturers would give paint matched trim as an option. I have a 17 year old SUV and the black plastic doesn't look good after all that time.
1. In Canada, some trim levels have a different name. For 2023, I think Limited is SEL Premium. 2. What is the up/down festure in windows? 3. You talk WAY too fast. Had to slow you to .75 speed.
SEL and higher has dynamic voice recognition. It varies by model which have access to control the windows or other aspects of the vehicle. The Calligraphy adds auto/up down rear windows which (if possible) can be controlled by voice like the front.
I have a 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe calligraphy. Intermittent wipers are complete garbage. Read through comments lots of other people say the same thing. Avoid this car.🤬🤬🤬
They have rain sensing wipers with sensitivity adjustment. If it's not set right, you may see poor performance or not what you're expecting. I've never had an issue with Hyundai Rain Sense wipers.
I bought the Calligraphy and love it. The extra $2000 was well worth the cost for the HUD, plush interior, etc.
Congrats! I agree for the price difference.
Also agree.
Ditto.
I have a 2023 Santa Fe calligraphy also. Silver. Love it!!!
We just leased a Calligraphy and so far LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great to hear!
Love my 2023 calligraphy!!
Awesome!
Would BUY the Calligraphy!!
Once again an excellent comparison & video! Thank you
Thanks again!

Thank you -- very helpful! You did a great job and the info has helped me in making the best decision for my needs.
Awesome! I appreciate the feedback.
The Calligraphy trim just looks way better inside & outside compared to the Limited
Excellent review and comparison
Bought the Limited and find it to be an excellent choice and I didn’t think the difference in the price was worth it for the Calligraphy
Congrats! Enjoy it!
Best video yet on the differences thanks u
Glad it was helpful!
I just leased the calligraphy with the 2 tone interior. Love it and everyone that has seen it are so impressed! 🕺🏾😊
That's awesome! Enjoy!
Calligraphy for me please. Really enjoyed your comparison of the two vehicles. Thanks!
Thank you for watching!

Probably referring to the suede headliner which helps with the sound insulation.

I really like the Calligraphy ! Will be test driving both tomorrow, but the looks of the calligraphy looks great!
Both are great options but he Calligraphy is very nice!
The Calligraphy trim looks way more premium, upscale, & luxurious inside & out compared to the Limited trim. It packs a better visual punch

The Calligraphy is a great choice! There is an all new 2024 Santa Fe to be debuted later this summer with availability likely early next year.
What do you mean all new is it a new body style?
@@Katie-vy5rd All new generation of vehicle. So yes the body is different but the powertrain appears to be mostly a carry over.

Such a thorough review yet no demonstration of the additional ambient lighting or HUD in the calligraphy ;(
Why is the passenger seat the only seat with a pocket? What about the drivers seat?

What is the difference in gas mileage between this engine and the hybrid?
So the highway MPG is only going to be about 2 MPG better but the city MPG is going to be roughly 12 MPG better. That is where the hybrid shines.
What are paddle shifters?
You can manually shift the transmission by pressing the paddle shifters.
Why not mention that the Caligrophy has the voice control for the windows and so on?
