I just stumbled upon your channel and made your chicken gizzards today. My husband said they are the best he's ever had! I like fried chicken livers and he loves the gizzards. Hands down, the best recipe I have ever tried. Thank you for sharing ❤.
Thank you so much for this video. My husband loves crispy fried chicken gizzards. Now I know how to do it. It's very impressive that you use cast iron. Could never get the hang of that. Thanks again
Good recipe! I make mine exactly like you do except after I coat them, I let the rest on a rack for 20 minutes before I fry. The coating will stick better and fry up more crispy..😊
Just had to look your video back up and let you know how well your receipt worked for me the gizzards are the best I've had very tender I redid the receipt just to make sure I could get the same results and I did thanks again.
Love your voice. Just sounds like it's coming from a lovely personality. 😇💖✨ Love that you actually showed using a pressure cooker...! Many don't, and they seem like they would be so much more tender this way. They look awesome 🥰💖 Just wish you would've showed making the gravy 😞💖 Thank you so much for sharing your methods of making these 💖✨
I'm thinking that when the 20 minutes were up that you release the pressure right away instead of letting it lose pressure naturally or gradually? The reason I'm asking is because when I did it immediately it took a lot longer to let out all of the steam, when compared to how long it took in your video. Thank you so much!
Waitaminute...TENDER chicken gizzards? I miss good Southern cooking since I moved back to upstate NY but even down in NC I never had tender gizzard. I'm definitely watching this video ma'am.
Good video! But where are the greens?! Also, you can make the mashed potatoes in the pressure cooker as well. I don’t think I’ll ever bake or boil potatoes again!
Heeeey Auntie Sylvie (you cook so good that you've GOT TO be my Sr. Auntie) lol lol I'm trying your technique this weekend in prep for xmas 2022 weekend. I love how you've brined your gizzards and then mixed the beaten egg before frying.
I tried a different recipe, but usually use my electric pressure cooker. That recipe did not use the pressure cooker or a boiling method. I will return to using the pressure cooker.
It's such a smart idea to place pieces of foil over your stove while frying. I will do the same next time I fry. Everything looks yummy as always!

Yep. That is how you do it alright!

I haven’t ever heard of coating and frying with cornstarch/ flour mixture - just flour or cornmeal. What does it enhance- the taste or crispyness?
Crispiness.

Love your kitchen so much. Pot filler wow.
Yes ma'am!
Ive never seen gizzards in the store, can you describe the taste? I would like to try this
They taste like dark meat chicken. It's a texture thing without being chewy and tough.
I like Chicken Gizzards because they are crunchy and mummy. Making the soft takes away from there goodness.
That's if you have all your original teeth 😂😂😂 they're good either way ❤
Beautiful lady, you are making me hungry. You are mean. Lol 😂

Dont get no better than that..
