That's crazy! I'd give 25 hundred right now for that truck!!
That’s what I was thinking, that truck is awesome!
Even without a motor at all.
Indeed 🤪
They are turners.
I know right!i could put 5 grand in that and sale it for 16000
It has been about 45 years since I helped pop start a car. This brings back memories.
That is the coolest looking old truck I have ever seen. The patina was incredible.
I'm a little shocked at the $2500 asking price, and then selling it for 2?
I would love to own it for that
MMGJ10 go buy one then
@@shane8911 I suppose you've got one for sale?
No I didn't think so.
Own it. They need to ship it. Fix it and resell it. Taxes too need paying on all that
Robbie's such a sweet guy!♡ The brothers are fun to watch. I still miss Frank on the show :(
I'd have given him the 25 without batting an eye. Perfect truck to clear coat as is and make brand new underneath. Crazy cool ride .
$2500 would be a steal! That truck would bring 7 to 10K.
YOUGOTIT210 i just posted the same price,, here in California it’s a $8-10,000 all day long,,,👍🏼👍🏼
@@Delfi1900 They stole it.
Capitalism is the greatest system ever established.
it cost them money to tow it and any repairs they need to make, so they looking close to 3-5k on it. Still a very low price tho.
Then it’s gonna sit in the store, I’m taking all the risk…oh…wrong show! 😉
Nice truck..love that chrome grill
He should gave him the full 2500$ you couldn't pick that up here in Canada for under 6 grand
I feel they usually overpay for small, cheap items but they snagged a steal, here! Holy drumsticks, Batman!
Yeah they promised to give it a good home. To the first bozo that walks in with double the cash
triple *
@@maxwell6504 double
Hope Robbie is still enjoying that truck, he was really excited about it when he saw the truck.
Love American Pickers. Just a great show. I have seen everyone they have made..
I would've of payed the $2500. It's a beautiful truck. Leave the patina on it!
Agreed I think it's because they're reselling it. I think they still could have made money at $2500 though
I hate the patina look , I prefer the things restored and shiny. I think it's a passing fad
@@edgardorodriguez3710 but if it isn't then you can't go back. Once you take the original paint and everything away you can't put it back
@@edgardorodriguez3710 only original once
Paid*
Wow what a beautiful truck
$6000 is more believable than $2000.
The cost of transportation after the sale has NOTHING to do with the price of the vehicle. I don't care if it costs you 10K to get the vehicle gone, do you want it or not?
That is terribly flawed logic. There is an inherent value in how easy an item can be delivered or transported. If your item costs a fortune to move, that is a factor in the items value.
Not 10k unless it’s fixed up , they’ll make a few grand but not a steal
The seller disagrees with you. Stop being such a socialist. It's all about the capitalism and the art of the deal man.
The OP is right. As a buyer and seller of many vintage and classic cars, I have some knowledge. So let’s put his (and my) theory to the test, eh? I live in a southern state, and you live in a northern state. You have a car for sale for 20K that I’m interested in. You started at $25K, and have dropped to $20K for cash, and that’s your bottom dollar. You have a couple people knocking on your door at $20K, so it’s bound to sell at that price sooner or later. Meanwhile, I purchase a plane ticket and fly to you. I have to rent a car, of course. I like the car, but tell you that I’m already into it for $750 just to come look at it, and to transport it home means hiring a transport service and flying home, or renting a truck and trailer and transporting it myself. I tell you that getting it back to my home will cost about 5K and want you come down off your price as compensation. Do do cave and sell to me because you somehow owe me because I live a long way from me, or do you tell me to get lost and hold out for a more reasonable offer? Remember, you didn’t force me to make the long trip to see your car. It’s got nothing to do with socialism - even dealerships charge destination on top of a new vehicle’s price...
Believe me I know how TV production budgets go. The price of the truck and the cost of the towing I’m sure we’re all paid for by the production. That’s small potatoes.
That barn is a lot of fun to look around. Although most of his stuff is not for sale
Why can't I find a steal like that......
These are great shows....i remember when i was a little kid in the 1950s.
Mike Wolk you are so cool I watch you all the time American Pickers are the best
Awsome mega score good job roby and mike
I love classic american pick ups.🇺🇸👍
I would like to see it completely restoration..
That's a crazy deal for that truck.
That is so incredibly cool! Just the way it is!!
WOO!!! new American Pickers! Haven't been here in a while though...where's Frank??
Fired
franksick
He's been busy starring in the new Mortal Kombat movie.
He passed away
@@domjoseph2007 copy and pasted -
Is Frank Dead? For the record, American Pickers' Frank is alive and well. Although he was arrested for an incident on the road in 2017, it was neither a road accident case nor did it result in his death. The star had made an unlawful U-turn that could have caused a severe accident.
That's pretty dam good.2000?
Nice One ~ Appreciated!
$2500 is a great deal you don’t find something like that for cheap
But after all it’s just entertainment TV
Love these guys!!
I want that chevy!!! 😭😭😭
I totally love this show! I'm so interested in picking
Hi! We love that you love the show! Thanks for being an #AmericanPickers fan. You can watch more great picks here: bit.ly/2NCrOJC
@@HISTORY Amazing!
These dudes just love working over the old timers
I wouldn’t paint that truck 🛻 at all. It aged pretty good🔥🔥🔥🔥
I was expecting Mike to shake hands immediately when I heard $2500.00!
Looks more like a 46 truck, unless Chevrolet unloaded left over 46s into 47.Most 47 to early 55s look similar.Chevrolet had two different body styles in 55 .
I would love to see items they bought being sold again and for how much not just cars but other items as well
I mean some items they buy need cleaning and restoration
Do they do that and where
I got to know about American life and culture in the states of a America in this show more than history books
Love it
I like how the hoods open definitely need
Smoking deal, no brainer, go for it !
The fact that it runs.... that year.... $2500. Is fair.
The chrome on that '47 is probably worth $2500 by itself. I'd buy it for that price no problem.
Imagine American Pickers during Covid...
The truck may be titled as a 47, but it is a 42-46. I have a 46 1/2 ton. Stock but repainted sometime. No patina on it.
That truck was beautiful and I hate trucks I wouldn't even paint it I do the inside perfect in the engine perfect and leave the outside the way it is it's beautiful history
Would've loved to have been born in that Era of cars and trucks. Everything seemed so much more personal back then.
I don't know how to tell you this, but there are still cars and trucks outside 😅
25 hundred.. thats a steal
ok 2,ooo plus shipping well thats a steal of a deal. Get them up and running.
It's a 1942 to 46 Chevy half ton you got a deal good job that thing's worth at least 5or 6 grand the way it is I know cuz I own two of them.
47 first series
It's a '42-46. '47-'54 have the horizontal grille.
I had a 41 with this body and grill style and they made them till 1949, picked it up for $150. needed a transmission, and sold after fixing a few things for $475. 1974-5
Where was this? I'd love to buy the rest of his cars!
Is it up for sale and if so, how much? Thanks, Joe
East coast and west coast so different. You'd have to pay at least $10-$12k if not more on the west coast. Great patina, chrome grill, runs!
Lol an he still has to low ball him an truck was running lol
It would be great to own that 1947 Chevy Truck. I believe the grill is stainless steel and not chrome.
You're lucky to have a brother.
$2500 would be cool
You think $2500 is too much?! Lol bunch of crooks
It's a her with a hims name... does that mean it's a Trans-Am or a Trans-mission😂
Am I the only one who prefer the two brothers together over Mike & Frank?
I give £5k for that beauty, one of the best US trucks I have ever seen the patina/grill is just unreal...
I love to see this brothers together the dynamic duo! 💜🙋
$2,500!??? Here in California that’s a $8-10,000 easy!!! Why are they so cheap in price down east??? I would buy in a heartbeat,,,,, nice truck
FelixD cat , we can also buy really nice houses for $100,000 and in some areas even less. The southeast is great! Kind people, low taxes and we aren’t government regulated on near as much. True freedom.
That was one helluva deal at 2500 if I had the money I would have bought alone that day
I learned to drive in a ‘47 Chevy truck. Woo-hoo!
2000$ ??? This was all most 🆓🆓🆓🆓🆓🆓🆓🆓🆓!!
2:09 what is in that guys pants?
$2500 is a great deal on that truck
I know right, the prices on the Internet are way too high
You want to buy old trucks and cars .Head out west thats were the good buys are. Bring cash with you at all times. "CASH IS KING" and always will be.
Scott Ouellette what about east and south where the vehicle haven’t rotted away
@@DevonFerguson. Not many clean examples out east because of winter rock salt and sand used on roads during the cold months. They have good examples down south but you will pay. Its the law of supply and demand.
@@scottouellette9411 I lived out in Nebraska for a spell and I'll tell you I seen so many great old car is just parked in fields everywhere.
They sure know how to rip people off that's for sure!
I used to collect Renaissance art, but it was causing me to go Baroque.
$2,000 is called auto theft where I come from...the tires from Coker are $1,000
They said it'd cost $1000 to get the truck home. So when they say it cost $2k and will sell for $6k, it's a bit silly to say the profit is $4k - the truck cost $3000 in total.
I could of had a 46 about 5 years a go for $4500. Ran good, welded diamond plate in the bed & some usual rust in the cab corners, etc. I live in a condo with no place to work on it, = pass. What Island was this?
i want to feed crickets. i need telemares.
mike lowballed the camera crew into 40% of their wages
it would be cool to put in front of your antique shop facing the road catching peoples attention to stop and want to shop
Good
Looks like Marvin Tikvah
That’s a steal for that truck today. Texas Arizona and California are truck states those are worth a lot of money and many people looking for those will pay money
They're not really ripping anybody off the person selling the vehicle doesn't have to take their offer
I love how these guys always increase or decrease each other’s bids by 10% no matter the number. $10 becomes $15 becomes $12. $150 becomes $170 becomes $160. Always!
none of those examples you gave was 10%
$2,500 is high???? What???? Obviously mikes little brother don’t shop for them much.
The radio was cheaper than that sign
2500 is so cheap for that truck, those would fetch a good solid 4 maybe 5K here in Canada..
Thrir price works out to CAD3700 incl shipping
Guy gave it away
$2500?!? In my country the only one I saw for sale was for 25K...
Thought they made that body from 41 to 46.
Mike you should bring your brother out more often to keep your business vibrant. You always paid too much and often show the seller you are excited thus they never want drop price
Sorry you need to get rid of your brother and get frank back
How can I purchase this off the pickers???
Iowa nashhwitetrashville
Those american cars especially the old ones are made with the best qualifications back in the day to have their motors running like that after so many years of abandonment! When you see something that old that had to being used for allot of time you immediately saying to your self its not gonna work,it might be missing few things from its machine or it is too freaking wear off but when you hear it starting you can instantly see the value on those things as a whole. If you put a newer model of car from 19-20 and send it back in time leave it for 60 years and try to make it work now i believe will not run or work like those behemoths!
I " ll take 5
Hey mike,the truck is a 1946!!!
For sure 2500 in cali would sell for lot more
You can tell this show it’s fake! Nobody in his right mind would sell a 47 Chevy for 2k!
What happened to Fritz?
That 47 chevyy. Ooooo weeeee. Cleat coat shine n wax. Drive it exactly like it is rusty n beautiful
That pickuo truck is beyond sweet.
Is that truck for sale?
I JUST SAW MY FRIEND'S OLD CAR ON THE SHOW
