For the love of God get Tom to do some videos in Connecticut, I've been commenting the past 3 or 4 years, he comes here repeatedly for lime rock but doesn't do any video here when there's so much racing history and great hidden gems of cars people have
Tom, you’ve got to go longer or do multiple episodes with this awesome guy. I’d love to know his back story. Yard tour please. Keep up the good work. Guys like this motivate me to get more stuff
Todd needs a show of his own! Wow not only he's got an eye for great vehicles, but he also knows his stuff, and furthermore, if he says it'll start right up, he's right it does! Very impressed with his collection!
Leno has a matching coal truck. I had a friend George, who worked for NJ BELL. He told me he walked across NJ behind a real truck like that one, using the poles to lift new telephone cables up, and onto the poles, then they turned around and wired them all into houses on the way back. Post WWII, just out of the Navy, and making 37 cents an hour!! He retired, 9 sons, and DiLs, a great wife, and the nicest guy you'ld ever meet.
For nearly 30 years I was married to a woman whose father was one of 14 siblings that grew up in Western Maine. While together we made many trips out to New England to visit with her family. This video of you and Todd reminds me of the many times I got to spend visiting with her uncles still located in Maine. It was always a good time and their knowledge about all things mechanical was beyond impressive. I got to experience a number of local events like the Fryberg Fair (with some impressive vintage tractor pulls), local hot rod shows, and a classic car & tractor show to benefit the restoration of a water-powered mill that had been damaged by fire. Thanks for this video and the great memories it brought back for me.
Wow - this was a great episode and Todd is a knowledgable and fascinating guy with eclectic taste. I actually believe this guy when he says he will finish all of these vehicles - he knows what he wants to do and has the talent to do it. Thank you Tom and thank you Hagerty.
I would like to see much more of this collection. This is like a working museum. Them trucks are amazing, I have seen alot of old Ford trucks but never seen this many different types and brands in such great condition. Please show us more and more!!!
Dang ! Todd is my kind of Hoarder ! The Seagrave chassis swap will be super cool. The Jeepster 'Dauntless' V6 is a stout little motor if massaged/warmed up on rebuild. Great Video Tom !
Todd is great. I can see myself being just like him in 20-30 years. Just a bunch of random vehicles and every one so interesting with a story. Great video!
That was fun. All the little things around the cars were starting to tell an interesting story of what Todd does for a living. Then when the cameras went outside....the story of the American Opportunity introduced itself. tHanks for a great tour and a fantastic video!
What an absolute champion. Hopefully his kids will look after these the same way he has. That's the unfortunate thing with the generations today, they aren't interested in cars like these because they aren't 500hp rolling on 20s.
I've watched 99% of Barn Find Hunter episodes, and this one has to be one of, if not the best and most interesting episodes yet. You're right Tom, in saying that Todd is "one of the most fascinating people on the series", his tone of voice is a bit gruff, but he's a good guy who's unable to hide his enthusiasm when he talks about his collection. I could watch another hour or so of this guy (hint hint)
That tone in his voice is just how we talk in Downeast Maine. The Maine seacoast is full of salty old fishermen and people talking like that is just normal. It sounds like home to me lol
I meet an elderly gentleman (99 years old), many years ago, that lived in NYC when younger. Amazing memory of the building of the Brooklyn Bridge, vacationed in Cuba, and had many amazing stories. The old coal truck reminded me of one of his memories,, he had a business hauling coal then after the invention of refrigeration in the spring he removed the beds of the trucks replacing them with insulated box beds to haul ice and then back to coal beds for winter
Henry Ford was a great man of the American people I've grown up a Chevrolet guy but have a great admiration for Henry Ford and his work especially his writing the books he would leave in the glove box of the model T is one every red blooded American should read. Here's a Bellamy salute to Henry Ford o/
I like Todd, he seems like a down to Earth kind of guy, bright, knows his vehicles and comes across as very competent at whatever he does. This has been a great episode.
People don't realise that Brass actually has a better coefficient of thermal efficiency than Aluminium, yes the Brass might weigh heaps more - but it also cools better. People should be actually sizing up when going to Aluminium, but I often see them use smaller units than standard and it's often not a surprise when they overheat..
Hey I didn’t know you live in Maine. If you ever pass through Camden I’ve got a few old classics we can take out and blow the dust off. 61&64 Corvette’s 70 Hemi Roadrunner, 71 Camaro and a few modern ones too. BMW I8 911 Carrera oh and a Hinckley picnic boat too to get out on the water. 😊
The problem we all have is that as we grow older and older our minds remain will to try to maintain and restore old vehicles our old human bodies can no longer capable of completing the task. We all have to accept that there comes a time when =we have to let go and sell off our collections.
As a machinist and industrial collector, the outside collection looks even MORE interesting! Todd needs to start his own YT channel. Start with a yard tour Todd! Air compressors and Cranes.......very cool
On that telephone truck I noticed an electrical Kearney someone mounted on the front vent just below the windshield (should be made out of red brass) and is used to clamp two wires together (don't know why someone would put that there unless they wanted to "ground" the truck while working in "hot" conditions, and those 3 poles for settting a telephone (power) pole are called Pole Pikes. Very nice collection!!
That 63 Ford PU brings back memories. I had a 64 4X4 with a 460ci in high school. That was a good ol truck. Its amazing what is hidden in some of these backwoods garages.
You are truly one class act, Todd. Thanks for giving us a glimpse of YOUR world; and I have to say; it's clearly the kind of world I could live in. I wish you MANY more years on this earth; to continue your great love affair; with all those beauties.
NO WAY!! A REAL SELDEN. The other SELDEN car is at the car museum in Tacoma. Just amazing! I would love to come see it! My Uncle had rebuilt the last Selden and kept it at the store in FIFE, WA.
Down on the Hamilton Beach Strip in Southern Ontario, there was a guy who had dozens and dozens of Scouts back in the 70s and 80s. By the time i grew up, revisited, and had a little cash, they were long gone though. That place looked like Scout paradise.

You already tortured viewers with this "offer" during the video as well as other ads - enough already!
You need to go back and complete the search around this barn!! And the guy is amazing.
I'm sure he did. This video coulda been 3 hrs. long!
why do you know him personally to vouch for him? could be a total scumbag.
Tom, you’ve got to go longer or do multiple episodes with this awesome guy. I’d love to know his back story. Yard tour please. Keep up the good work. Guys like this motivate me to get more stuff
Waste of cars they all should be on the road an driven....
For someone (me) that was in and around coal for 27 years, that 1909 coal truck is awesome!
Damn right. I like the phone trucks too. 28 years with the phone company.
This could have been more than one episode. I would’ve like more 😊
Wow! Not a long enough video, that guy and his vehicles deserve his own series. Thanks for tracking him down.
Todd needs a show of his own! Wow not only he's got an eye for great vehicles, but he also knows his stuff, and furthermore, if he says it'll start right up, he's right it does! Very impressed with his collection!
WOW!!! Tom is correct, a museum that's not open to the public. Fascinating historic vehicles.
There's a man who just loves vehicles. You can hear the joy in his voice when he talks about starting one up for you to hear. Thanks for the video.

Incredible collection and Todd is such a cool, down to earth guy! Your persistence on this find definitely paid off!
Need another hour of this find Tom. Love it

Amazing collection and the guy is so happy to show them...he's definitely into the story and not the money! So cool!!!
I could watch this stuff all day long I really wish these episodes were longer I can’t get enough thanks Tom for doing what you do
I would like to see much more of this collection. This is like a working museum. Them trucks are amazing, I have seen alot of old Ford trucks but never seen this many different types and brands in such great condition. Please show us more and more!!!

Episode 2 of this fantastic slice of history please!
Nice one Tom and thank you Todd. Bring on round two!
That was fun. All the little things around the cars were starting to tell an interesting story of what Todd does for a living. Then when the cameras went outside....the story of the American Opportunity introduced itself.
tHanks for a great tour and a fantastic video!
What an absolute treasure to uncover! Todd is an amazing down-to-earth guy and I really like his style. I could've spent hours and hours in there.
This has been the best part of Hagerty on UA-cam for quite a while.
What an absolute champion. Hopefully his kids will look after these the same way he has. That's the unfortunate thing with the generations today, they aren't interested in cars like these because they aren't 500hp rolling on 20s.
Man what a place!!! That 1908 autocar was amazing id love to see that in person
Each episode seems to get better and better and this one is tops. Very nice job, everyone!
Would like to see more of this one. Todd is a cool dude for sure.
Now just imagine that barns and homes that people dont want to show off there is some real gems out there we may never find
Another great episode. Thanks to your guest for allowing us to see and enjoy his collection and thanks to you Tom for presenting it to us.
Can't tell how much I enjoyed this...
Yeah, as averybody else has suggested, this requires another visit and another episode. What a cool guy..!
It took Selden some 25+ years after his first patent application (1879) to actually build a motor vehicle. It's quite a tale.
What a great collection. I love that he has most of it running too.

Nova Scotia resident here - I'll have to keep an eye out for his old Jeep on the road. He has quite the collection - interesting fella!
Hopefully that was just Part 1 and there is more to come from Todd! Funny no BS guy!
WOW Tom !!! This was incredible & should be at least an hour long !!!
I sure hope there will be a part 2, if not even more !!!
Agreed .. barley scratched the surface 😱 🤞 several episodes 😉✌️
19 minutes with all these vehicles was like a movie trailer 😄
Awesome, I didn't know you were from Boothbay, I'm from the area I've known Todd my whole life he has an impressive collection of old equipment too.
I meet an elderly gentleman (99 years old), many years ago, that lived in NYC when younger. Amazing memory of the building of the Brooklyn Bridge, vacationed in Cuba, and had many amazing stories. This guy is a gem of a person.
Wow❤. Just wow.
So Charming,this old thing.
She deserves all the love. Kudos to the owner.

By far one of the coolest collections I’ve ever seen.💯😎👍👍
I like Todd, he seems like a down to Earth kind of guy, bright, knows his vehicles and comes across as very competent at whatever he does. This has been a great episode.
What a lovely generous man.
When’s part 2 coming out? What a collection.

You can easily make Parts 2 AND 3 based on the amount of vehicles this man has over there!! We need more!!
Nice to hear the history from the owner.
Super Episode Tom and thanks Todd for sharing.
Wow ! Lovely humble man ..proper not car guy automotive guy ..enjoyed the video 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
So awesome to have these vehicles still around. Thank you.
One of the best guys you interviewed an some cool old stuff have never seen ! 👏
WOW...Great episode. What a terrific knowledgeable guest. He obviously loves his collection. Thanks Tom..
That utility truck was an electric company truck. The village of Readsboro, VT ran it's own electric company.
man, I didn't know you lived in Boothbay harbor? You should check out my hidden Collection in Augusta Maine....some rare and different stuff!
The problem we all have is that as we grow older and older our minds remain will to try to maintain and restore old vehicles our old human bodies can no longer capable of completing the task. We all have to accept that there comes a time when =we have to let go and sell off our collections.

Thank you Todd for letting us see those!!
Those vehicles are incredible, kudos for having the foresight to put them away and save them
Wow... That 1909 Coal Truck is soo cool. 👍
Great stuff! Thanks to the owner for showing you and us around.
Great to record & film that man. So knowledgeable with history of each unit.
Oh my gosh. Such class! 👍👍👍👍These come from times when the car industry made real quality and used solid materials.
Being that I live in Nova Scotia with any luck I'll see him driving around someday those are some really cool vehicles
What an awsome collection and great guest.
Thanks for going out of your way to get in there ❤
It would be an honor to get a walk through of his collection!! What a cool dude ! !
That Harvey coal truck is not just a valuable antique vehicle. That’s a national treasure!
This is one of the most robust collections that we’ve had the honor of seeing!
This museum is insane. So beautiful cars. And the men who own it is amazing and his knowledge is great. Great episode 😊
"Those aren't mine". Great answer!
Thats a neat collection man
Thanks to all for the great video!
Todd is an amazing guy with an amazing colection. Thanks for sharing.
This is one of the most enjoyable episodes of any type I've seen on UA-cam. 👍
I love tinkering and conserving and restoring antique vehicles and equipment
That truck firing up made me smile! Incredible truck and runs like a top! Built to last no doubt!
He has a great bunch of cars and trucks. And can drive almost all of them. Thanks Tom.
You are truly one class act, Todd. Thanks for giving us a glimpse of YOUR world; and I have to say; it's clearly the kind of world I could live in. I wish you MANY more years on this earth; to continue your great love affair; with all those beauties.
Fascinating, the old iron is pure gold, thanks for sharing.
Much appreciated. Quite a gentleman there. That 1909 just takes the cake. Where do these guys find the time to work on them.
Buy that man some lunch and get some MORE video of that wonderful old iron!!
Im glad there's people like this out there. Im only at the coal truck story and this is fascinating.
Wow. This is amazing. Would really love to see a second video with an even deeper dive into this guys collection.
NO WAY!! A REAL SELDEN. The other SELDEN car is at the car museum in Tacoma. Just amazing! I would love to come see it! My Uncle had rebuilt the last Selden and kept it at the store in FIFE, WA.
that makes me happy.
thanks for showing the truck! I have never seen one, just the cars.
Wow, that’s a big building and it looks full 😮
Todd needs a channel. Such automotive knowledge!
I had a friend in high school that had a red automatic stick shift VW bug...that thing was AWESOME!!!
These two dudes get along very well! What an awesome place of preserved history. 😎😎🤘🤘
Fantastic installment! Sweet collection! Sweet, running, collection! Thanks, Tom and Hagerty!
