Simple Man one of the most beautiful songs ever written. The lyrics bring tears to my eyes. I grew up in Fl in the 70's & Skynard was & still is one of my favorite bands. I miss em so..❤💔🙏
Dana says- My best friend's dad was the band's lawyer and friends with the members. When she was between 3-5 years old she and her dad were backstage for a few of their concerts. They were obviously amazing musicians, but she remembers A.C. being especially nice to her. She still has 2 of Lynyrd Skynyrd's gold records hanging on her wall at home.
Welcome to Skynyrd nation try"Tuesdays gone","comn home","that smell""the breeze""ballad of Curtis Lowe","on the hunt","I know a little""gimme back my bullets" , and of course"sweet home Alabama",and"freebird". Best southern rock band of all time. Imo
During their time bands had singers that were larger than life frontmen. Jager, Bowie, and others that drew so much attention to themselves. Not VanZant. He planted himself in the middle of stage and sang his heart out.
Free Bird live from Knebworth 1976! Epic!! They were opening for The Rolling Stones. Mick Jagger had a special stage built in the shape of a tongue and informed the other bands they weren't to use is. Ronnie Van Zant pushed his guitar players out onto the tongue in a show of defiance! A Must watch. Just subbed!
Dude, I subscribed to you not long ago, and I really like your reactions, and I’m sooo glad you’re experiencing Lynyrd Skynyrd! I’m a Southerner born single momma, and I was blessed with a wonderful son 20 years ago (Kiddo is grown now), so Simple Man holds a special place in my heart. Simple Man sends the most important life lessons I’ve always wanted to impress upon my son, so I started playing this for him, and sometimes singing this song to my kiddo since the day he was born. Simple Man is truly a beautiful and wonderful song, in my opinion. I’m a Lynyrd Skynyrd fan, and let me tell ya, they have a huge catalogue of wonderful of wonderful music to listen to. “Tuesday’s Gone”, “Simple Man”, “Gimme Three Steps”, and “Call Me The Breeze” are probably the ones I love and listen to the most, though.
I think it's really awesome to see cultures appreciate and admire one another, I grew up a hip hop head personally but these tunes are a part of me because of my childhood, mom and dad had good taste in music.
And if you do react to Free Bird, since Skynyrd is new to you, do yourself a favor and do a live video from 1977 or before. You have to see Allen Collins in action. This band is on their farewell tour, is why I say 1977, or sooner.
Great song. I'm a guitar player and very much into the local band scene. It's sad that nobody wants to do Freebird anymore LOL it was just so played out. It doesn't change the fact that it's an amazing song though
My son, whose only 11,interpretation after hearing 'Simple Man' for the first time: A simple song, of a mother's unconditional love, to ensure her sons HEART AND SOUL!! 🥰🤙👩👦 #SouthernRock #Music4theSOUL #AllMothersShouldPlayThis4TheirSons
Freebird....The Ballad of Curtis Loew....Tuesdays Gone.....Saturday Night Special.....Gimme Back My Bullets....That Smell.....I KNow A Little.....Call Me The Breeze....so many to discover.
Ronnie Van Zant sings everyone of the songs that they recorded. So many people don't understand that a lot of Skynyrd songs really had so much more meaning to them than they ever would realize until you sit down and listen to the words . Needle and the Spoon is talking about not messing with the needle. Lyrics are DON'T mess with the needle and the spoon . Or Mr Saturday Night Special . It's talking about what the consequences are if you take something like that and just be Stupid and hurt someone and so much more than that. Ronnie Van Zant was one of the greatest song writers of all time. And the musicians in this band back then ! They never have been another one and they never will be another band that had as much talent as these guys did . I saw them in 1996 I believe and it was at River Bend Cincinnati and I got to see the original Bass player Leon and The original Piano player Billy Powell and Huey Tomalson From the Guitar Army Out Laws was playing with them then as well as Ricky Medlock and he still is . He was the original founder of Black Foot . There's a band you should react to. Highway Song is killer . But again I saw them in 2012 in Pikeville Ky and they flat blew that place apart !
Watching Lyn Skyn vids watching new folk listen to true classics. R.I.P Ronnie, Cassie, Alan, Steve, Artimus, Leon, n Billy. The original band will always be in my heart.
I'm new to your page. 1st I'm a fan. 2nd this is definitely 1 singer. Ronnie was amazing. God rest his soul. I hope if you haven't already you do the ballad of Curtis loew. Keep grinding. God bless
Yep, very popular, very deep, but singer, listen not just the words, but the message and how it's told. This will let you put your own emotions in it, not just sing words. All love brother.
This is what I'm talking about a BAND where you have talent to play a instrument. These millennials listen to so much Rap that rap to a track. Good video!
Listen to " I need you " by them....you won't regret it. It's from the album Second Helping. Thank you for giving this song a chance....I appreciate you for that.
Ronnie Van Zant did have a lot of soul. Skynyrd is from Jacksonville, FL and we’re heavily influenced by blues and a little country. They sing SWEET HOME ALABAMA, and I bet you’ve heard it. Enjoyed your reaction.
Their younger brother Johnny is the singer now and he's good !! Only one member left and that was double drummers in that band =, I've met them backstage , my old band mate runs sound for 38 Special ..Donny Van Zandt was the other brother who sang but has retired I hear . ..who I've seen many times !! Check out The Allman Brothers Band ..Live At The Filmore East ..side one you'll love it !!
Thank you. Watched 3 or 4 videos and enjoyed your format. Please continue. Sorry try Believe from Brooks and Dunn or anything by Keith Whitley or Vince Gill.
I think you would like the group Pink Floyd. It doesn't really matter which song of theirs, they are all great masterpieces. I have to warn you though, their music takes you on an emotional roller coaster ( journey ). What I mean is, the guitar solos make you feel so many emotions at once.
com on man, is right, i can not believe you have never heard this song, which is or could be the best song in all of history. there will never be another man with any band to ever come close to lynard skynard talent as a whole, TY so much RONNIE the mastermind vanZant
Sounds like you got some dayum nice pipes yourself brother...you just moved into top 2 reactors!!! Try Skynyrd - Ballad Of Curtis Lowe next!!! You will not be disappointed..............and, ANYTHING Bob Seger!!
As a singer, you MUST listen to 1. Peter Gabriel - Secret World Live - Don't Give Up (not Peter, Paula Cole!) 2. Page & Plant - No Quarter: Unledded - Battle of Evermore (A female Egyptian singer) Even if you don't choose to react to them, I think you'll like & appreciate both! ❤
You sounded really good, catching it well. You need to hear their hard blues sound. Might I suggest "The Ballad of Curtis Lowe"? I believe it will make you a fan of Skynyrd. You thought Simple Man is catchy, Curtis Lowe is even more so. I can't believe you don't think you heard anything of theirs. Not even Sweet Home Alabama....where the skies are so blue? I really enjoyed this, thanks my friend!
Freebird is awesome & as Chris Redfield mentioned...watch it live; my other fav of Skynyrd is the cover of JJ Cale's , The Breeze...Powell is freakin' awesome on those ivorys----he sets them on fire....again watch a live performance!
Fist time listening to your reactions; I have enjoyed it. I just subscribed to your channel. Please react to The Allman Brothers band "Not my cross to bare"! I think you will really love it!
oh dang bout forgot "out on a Hunt" if you haven't heard of them before, these are a must, they didn't , no kidding, they did not ever put out a single song that i don't absolutely love, so u could just close your eyes and roll them dice, ;->

Ronnie VanZant had great range in his voice. That is just one singer you hear throughout on this track. He was the best.
During their time bands had singers that were larger than life frontmen. Jager, Bowie, and others that drew so much attention to themselves. Not VanZant. He planted himself in the middle of stage and sang his heart out.
Dude, you can sing really good. You're on point. Glad you appreciate this song. Always one of my favorites.
Thanks bro
Free Bird live from Knebworth 1976! Epic!! They were opening for The Rolling Stones. Thats right.
Allen was one of the most underrated guitarists of all time!
@Kevin Crater, I think I do, too.
Great song. I'm a guitar player and very much into the local band scene. It's sad that nobody wants to do Freebird anymore LOL it was just so played out. It doesn't change the fact that it's an amazing song though
This is southern rock.It has a sound like no other.Everything they did was gold.Music is the one thing that can build a bridge across anything.
All time fave song, love that noticed he hits the "kind of man" harder the second time thru the chorus.
One of the best by them! The lyrics are what a mother would want for her son. I asked my three boys, men...lol listen and they love this song now too.
it's Ronnie Van Zant.....only singer ..the band was named after their principle in high school telling them they would never make it as a band....
Gym teacher
I've seen them twice and hands down my favorite band and always will be.
I think Ronnie would love it if you sang this song. You have a great voice.
Yeah; this here is one reactor I don't mind doing sing-alongs. Nice voice!
