    The thing with malt extract is, when you malt grains, essentially what you do is you convert the starches to sugars. So you’re still using a sugar liquid when you use malt extract.

      I agree it’s annoying but he’s giving this to us for free. One of his videos could be the first video of his that someone has watched so the more new people that watch that intro the more money he can make and the more information he can give us for free

    • @urbanyeti659
      @urbanyeti659 5 місяців тому

      @pursuegood5133 I see what you're saying, but there are plenty of other channels that dont do the long intros, which I actually gravitate toward and donate to because of the lack of UA-cam Influencer-ness and long promotions before the video starts. This is a shame, because I actually enjoy hearing his opinions and would watch so much more of his videos if he was just here to share his knowledge without trying to hustle us for five minutes in every one of his videos. Just my thoughts.

When someone originates a new idea or technique, its a given research precedent to attribute credit to that individual whenever referencing their works as a means to acknowledge the contributions they have made to improve and expand upon in a given field. When clowns like willy come along, takes that information and claims the created a new idea or technique, it's called intellectual theft and plagiarism when proper citation is not provided to the original contributor. This is even more prevalent in the case of willy and many other UA-cam "mycologists" because along with stealing the contributions of individuals and portraying them as his own to portray himself as an expert, he's also making money of those why don't know better and getting sponsorships to fund his immoral and unethical behavior, while those who actually did the work receive nothing; people who developed these techniques not out of financial incentives, but rather to expand the mycological field and help others.
      Get off willy's willy and do some research on how ever single technique he claims to have developed was already on the forums for the past 10-20 years, as well as how much the mycology community despises him; not due to his popularity, but rather how he is an intellectual thief that also has terrible mycological practices, yet claims to be an expert; i.e. his sterile technique is some of the worst on UA-cam, which encourages novices to develop bad habits.
      Better yet, I dare you to go on to the forums and try defending him with this "do they have a patent" bs. I can almost guarantee you don't have a profile on any of the major forums, but we will be waiting to see what you have to say to justify what your guru does.
