SWTOR is my favourite MMO in the world. I met my wife there, had an in-game marriage ceremony and to this day continue to play. I created my account in 2013 and have never looked away since. I love this game so much! I've been playing off and on since launch. I just recently managed to get legendary status on my main server, as well as my first lvl 80 character. I still haven't done much of the expasion content beyond the little bit of RotHC on Makeb. There is just so much to do that its almost overwhelming for me, so thank you for this video its exactly what I need to give myself some direction and large goals to accomplish. I am solidly in the camp of players who just want to experience all the content SWtOR has to offer.😊 😊
I went down the unmentioned rabbit hole of achievement hunting. Some really fun ones... And then there's the 'kill 5k enemies,' which in some areas is just utterly ridiculous. Luckily for those I do kind of passively bump them up when leveling characters, and then just use my sniper to mop up the rest while listening to a show or something.
I just got back into the game. Finally finished getting the crafting maxed out and I've been hawking the GTN for things to resell to get some credits. I do want to actually play the game, but the new skill trees are so different from what I was used to that I'm kind of intimidated by them now. I respec'd my powertech to a DPS trooper build and I just can't figure out the right rotation of skills in a fight.

For the conquest, Complete any Chapter, do we lose our comps and their levels if say we just do Chapter 1 of Fallen Empire? Thanks for your usual quality videos :)
Hello! The firs time you start Chapter 1 you will lose your comps till you re-earn them in the story. If you mean to repeat the chapter, you lose them kinda temporarily... but to regain them just start a later chapter instead.
help the new update is in how do you x out the rewad window that pop up when you log in before you could x out but now u cant i cant play with that open isenin a bug and tix do you know how t fix it
I'm just sad that the new equipment system makes a bunch of the cool weapons, now mostly for cosmetics, unavailable. Like the Flashpoint gear. I'd love if I could still get the Athiss Sniper Rifle or Light Sabers!

Why the actual fuck would you even bring up Galactic Starfighter… it’s a dead game mode. That isn’t at all something you should be recommending to new players, they’re just going to get frustrated waiting for no one to queue. You KNOW this.

I love this game. I really REALLY do. I was a beta player, have the collectors edition, and the collectors edition for each subsequent expansion (if it was available). The biggest turn off for me for this game though is the engine. It is just shit. Sadly it is what we have though. Any new players, or if you're curious. Give it a shot. The story lines are just freaking spectacular. It's what makes the game truly shine.

I just wish they'd bring back all the skills they took out of the game with 7.0! I'm gonna keep saying this everywhere! It sucks!! It's like when they hid all the explanation missions and made leveling super easy once you maxed out your character legacy. Yeah your level is dropped to the max level of the planet, but that's a terrible solution! The game is a cake walk for me now, I don't feel the need ever to group up for small heroics or difficult story missions. I don't like leveling up to end game content super fast, the characters I create are unimportant to me when I play that way. I'm back to playing LOTRO again since April and it's great, my Loremaster is only LVL 43 of 130 after 3 weeks of game time and I'm having a tonn of fun. I hit lvl 43 in SWTOR by Nar Shadaa 🤯 It's not fun for me anymore, it's not challenging enough for the way I like to play MMOs. I still check in every month or so because I've loved the game for a decade (and to sell cartel market unlocks on the gtn - the economy needs fixing too), but it just lets me down everytime I spend more than 4 hours. The loss of all the skills (...and the fact that when you change you character loadout it just dumps your gear into your inventory so you have to reorganize your inventory everytime) was the thing that tipped me over the edge.
I just joined and I wanted to let you know due to limitations it is hard for me to communicate. That is why I am a solo player. So I may not be on any of your live streams, I may just pop in to listen. Thanks again for all you do.
Founder, and I can’t argue enough, story is literally all that is worth it. Everything else has no real rewards especially with progression. The game is at a state where it needs a complete overhaul in one way or another other, I appreciate content creators trying to claw people to stay, but reality is, the mmo has nothing left, and definitely nothing real for a new person to aspire towards apart from the single player stories. This is an MMO, so let’s be real.
Thanks for all your great videos @swtorista ...especially for mentioning the Roleplay section in this one^^ In our guild on the German server, we have a very consistent group of roleplayers, playing now for 1 1/2 years together several interesting story plots made up by ourselves. I'm very proud on being one of the creative leaders, having the chance to excite the members with own-made stories and plot twists.
Swtor NEED a Model or Poligon Upgrade. All charakters are to stif they dont move and we can NOT interact woth chairs, bed, and there is no need for Cantinas or other places. This game has alot of potential ALOT. it has a great Story but it looks unfinished😢 Ever World of Warcraft got new Models but they changed the game in a bad way. Swtor could be great as wow or ever better when tey try little things like fishing, hunting, races, changable ships inside or ouside and reparing ships after a space battle in a hangar. Why they dont hire Me😅 i have alot of ideas😂

hate oricon since i can't solo play it and it's a huge ass pain to find people to do that last mission for it. i've made way too many characters for each class. i love the game but it does get boring after doing everything story related, at least for me anyway.
i wish i had paid attention to gearing. the day i logged in a messed up and wasted most of my resources doing the wrong thing. I'm a solo player and not great at the game so it sucks. eventually i guess somehow when ii replenish stuff, I'll get to try the new area.
I'm definitely a big fan of secrets and treasure hunts. Aside from Datacrons, the Ossus weapon tuning hunt was one of my favourite "side" things to do in recent times (with a cool cosmetic reward as payoff for doing it). I wish there were more things like that, just breadcrumbed a little better maybe, so players can find the start of the journey without needing to look up "SWTOR secrets" to know they even exist. One subject I have been missing in this guide, even if it is not really level 80 activity, but any level activity. Achievements hunting. I think I would quit this game years ago, if it did not had any ingame achievements.
Doing machinimas that's what people should do. Some roleplaying and making a lot of content until some good programmer decides to make a model viewer and a camera tool so people can make even better machinimas.

7:40 Also about uprisings, one thing I meant to bring up, on the Fractured uprising solo, MAKE SURE TO GET YOUR COMPANION out of the force storm, hence on why he dies, then you die cause you aren't getting heals.

I just finished my first story and am level 45. I asked in the lobby what i could do next and they said i needed to touch grass 😂😅 So what would you recommend me to do (I am pretty lost and have no clue what i actually can do)
To those getting bored of their characters, I advice you to alternate characters between factions. Like, I have a Trooper/Sniper and in case I get bored of it, I'll kill time on the empire's side with my new Bounty Hunter/Vanguard.

The "class stories" are basically a prologue of sorts for a much larger story, the galactic war between the Republic & Empire (and any additional conflicts with other factions, like the Hutt Cartel or the Revanites). The expansions "Knights of the Fallen Empire" and "Knights of the Eternal Throne" were made to do one thing only, end the existence of Vitiate/Valkorion for good (which reminds me, "Echoes of Oblivion" was really unnecessary for that). And the expansions made after that are slowly re-starting the Republic/Sith empire conflict with the actual possibility to make the faction you support WIN the war (one day, it's far from over), not just see the end of the war from the POV of the faction you chose to support.
@@wargamesmaster that means that if you bored with your main character - you will be bored with other characters if you already finished their storylines, because after their storylines there is no difference between them and your main character which bored you

I like having many characters around because if I start getting bored with one, I can continue an adventure with another and go back to whatever character I used first when I feel like it. It's called "diversity", you should try it sometime. Edit: What bores me is not the story/content of SWTOR, it's using the same character for too long.
Swtorista, I have a question. Under unlocks in the cartel market, there's an option to buy artifact equipment authorization. Is that for the current character or account-wide?
You prob have your answer but you can choose either, it's like 1200 or something account wide and alot less for individual character. You choose when you click on it. Well worth buying
Just rejoined the game after 8 years or so. Got to 80 and am working on gearing my first character. Lots of new content since endgame makeb. The inflation was a shock but everything sells for a ton so it kind of balances out. I totally understand the frustration with fallen empire and the companions. I didn’t have spoilers so even I was kind of pissed for a few planets without my main lady.
There are a couple tacticals that are good, especially the Saber reflect one, which does need to be crafted. If you wanted to take the time for 2 extra seconds of reflect, then yes. Otherwise idk.
The only thing to do at level 80 is gearing. Once you have the gear you need there is literally nothing to do worth a damn in the game except pvp and raiding. If you are not fond of those two things the only thing you will wind up doing is just daily heroics which is boring and unneeded if you have high level gear anyway.
You're overestimating the amount of people who actually complete all story content as it appears. Going back and rounding up all the missed companions is the main thing. HK-51, Alliance Alerts, and Star Fortressed can take up at least a dozen hours. I'm willing to bet that VERY few people bother with interlude chapters anymore (Ilum, Oricon, Ziost, etc). SWTOR's level gating system means that it's surprisingly easy to just skip hundreds of hours of story content if you're not paying attention. The only daily areas you're actually forced to engage with are Yavin and Onderon if I remember correctly. There's at least a dozen more that most new players don't bother with until Level 80. There's the Seeker Droid and Dread Seed quest-lines. Planetary Arcs can sometimes slip under the radar, alongside their post-quests you unlock after beating them. A lot of people don't even bother getting a taste of Vet flashpoints, warzones, ops, starfighter, space missions, etc. If you manage to do all of that on your character, and all that's left is achievement hunting and grinding, then play through the other class stories. Play through them again. I'm certain you haven't seen all there is to see in the Agent story. and if you manage to do all of THAT, just go play a different game while you wait for the next expansion. My point is that this game has a lot of content that most people just ignore because the main story is more interesting.
I'm new to SWTOR PvP since I started this July 2022. So 7.0 is all I know. When I subbed in SWTOR I went in primarily to delve into its PVE elements and story contents that Swtorista featured in her videos. I thought my weak ass lvl 80 324 main juggernaut was just going to be wiped right from the get go by rakata armored 330s but it seems I underestimated myself and the balance of the PvP of this game. Going in War Zone w/o any prior knowledge but the drive to earn conquest points I had no idea what the mechanics were. Apparently there are different modes tehee. I sucked in a few matches and got yelled at by few ops leader but the more experienced players gradually showed me certain lessons. I think this will be my new casual thing now.
Do you have a guide for the eternal championship (using non-dps player characters like healers or tanks) and the macro binocular/ shroud final mission (heroic 4) guide? I enjoyed watching you play in the R4 Anomaly (it was on someone else’s channel) operation. That op is pretty hard!

They're pretty different, but fun once you get used to them! We've got an upcoming project to help with rotation :)

One subject I have been missing in this guide, even if it is not really level 80 activity, but any level activity. Achievements hunting. I think I would quit this game years ago, if it did not had any ingame achievements.

7:40 Also about uprisings, one thing I meant to bring up, on the Fractured uprising solo, MAKE SURE TO GET YOUR COMPANION out of the force storm, hence on why he dies, then you die cause you aren't getting heals.

I just finished my first story and am level 45. I asked in the lobby what i could do next and they said i needed to touch grass 😂😅 So what would you recommend me to do (I am pretty lost and have no clue what i actually can do)
To those getting bored of their characters, I advice you to alternate characters between factions. Like, I have a Trooper/Sniper and in case I get bored of it, I'll kill time on the empire's side with my new Bounty Hunter/Vanguard.
But after main story ending - there is no differences between you twink and main char
@@fraisertinko So? The "class stories" are basically a prologue of sorts for a much larger story, the galactic war between the Republic & Empire (and any additional conflicts with other factions, like the Hutt Cartel or the Revanites).
The expansions "Knights of the Fallen Empire" and "Knights of the Eternal Throne" were made to do one thing only, end the existence of Vitiate/Valkorion for good (which reminds me, "Echoes of Oblivion" was really unnecessary for that).
And the expansions made after that are slowly re-starting the Republic/Sith empire conflict with the actual possibility to make the faction you support WIN the war (one day, it's far from over), not just see the end of the war from the POV of the faction you chose to support.
@@wargamesmaster that means that if you bored with your main character - you will be bored with other characters if you already finished their storylines, because after their storylines there is no difference between them and your main character which bored you
@@fraisertinko I have no "main character", just characters. I like having many characters around because if I start getting bored with one, I can continue an adventure with another and go back to whatever character I used first when I feel like it.
It's called "diversity", you should try it sometime.
Edit: What bores me is not the story/content of SWTOR, it's using the same character for too long.

Swtorista, I have a question. Under unlocks in the cartel market, there's an option to buy artifact equipment authorization. Is that for the current character or account-wide?
You prob have your answer but you can choose either, it's like 1200 or something account wide and alot less for individual character. You choose when you click on it. Well worth buying

Just rejoined the game after 8 years or so. Got to 80 and am working on gearing my first character. Lots of new content since endgame makeb. The inflation was a shock but everything sells for a ton so it kind of balances out. I totally understand the frustration with fallen empire and the companions. I didn’t have spoilers so even I was kind of pissed for a few planets without my main lady.

Is there any point to crafting anymore, asides for decorations?
There are a couple tacticals that are good, especially the Saber reflect one, which does need to be crafted. If you wanted to take the time for 2 extra seconds of reflect, then yes. Otherwise idk.

The only thing to do at level 80 is gearing. Once you have the gear you need there is literally nothing to do worth a damn in the game except pvp and raiding. If you are not fond of those two things the only thing you will wind up doing is just daily heroics which is boring and unneeded if you have high level gear anyway.
You're overestimating the amount of people who actually complete all story content as it appears.
Going back and rounding up all the missed companions is the main thing. HK-51, Alliance Alerts, and Star Fortressed can take up at least a dozen hours. I'm willing to bet that VERY few people bother with interlude chapters anymore (Ilum, Oricon, Ziost, etc). SWTOR's level gating system means that it's surprisingly easy to just skip hundreds of hours of story content if you're not paying attention.
The only daily areas you're actually forced to engage with are Yavin and Onderon if I remember correctly. There's at least a dozen more that most new players don't bother with until Level 80. There's the Seeker Droid and Dread Seed quest-lines. Planetary Arcs can sometimes slip under the radar, alongside their post-quests you unlock after beating them. A lot of people don't even bother getting a taste of Vet flashpoints, warzones, ops, starfighter, space missions, etc.
If you manage to do all of that on your character, and all that's left is achievement hunting and grinding, then play through the other class stories. Play through them again. I'm certain you haven't seen all there is to see in the Agent story. and if you manage to do all of THAT, just go play a different game while you wait for the next expansion. My point is that this game has a lot of content that most people just ignore because the main story is more interesting.
Pvp, the answer will always be pvp.
I'm new to SWTOR PvP since I started this July 2022. So 7.0 is all I know. When I subbed in SWTOR I went in primarily to delve into its PVE elements and story contents that Swtorista featured in her videos. I thought my weak ass lvl 80 324 main juggernaut was just going to be wiped right from the get go by rakata armored 330s but it seems I underestimated myself and the balance of the PvP of this game. Going in War Zone w/o any prior knowledge but the drive to earn conquest points I had no idea what the mechanics were. Apparently there are different modes tehee. I sucked in a few matches and got yelled at by few ops leader but the more experienced players gradually showed me certain lessons. I think this will be my new casual thing now.
Do you have a guide for the eternal championship (using non-dps player characters like healers or tanks) and the macro binocular/ shroud final mission (heroic 4) guide? I enjoyed watching you play in the R4 Anomaly (it was on someone else’s channel) operation. That op is pretty hard!
