I wondered the same thing. My dogs shed like crazy. The really old-style washers had a lint filter on the agitator, or on the side, but now they’re called “self-cleaning,” which simply means it goes down the drain. My front loader had a filter, but it was hidden inside the machine. It also had a filter inside the rubber gasket, but if you removed it too many times, as I did, it eventually started leaking on the floor. You just can’t win!

I have the exact same washer. For about a year now we have been having problems with it leaking water. We thought at first the sprayer to fill up was not directed properly and it just sprayed down into the floor. Now we are thinking that the line that the water comes through is clogged and that somehow causes the water to spray in a wrong direction. Do you ever have a problem with water leaking? Also ours sounds so loud like a plane taking off. Is your loud? I paid so much for it and I like it ,Cleans clothes really well. Just has issues. I want to keep it but if I can’t get it to stop leaking I might have to get another one. The loud noise we are used to. And we moved recently and have a door on the laundry room so we shut the door to hear us talk or watch tv. I did have a repairman out. He said it’s one of those new fancy washers and he don’t work on em. We moved to the country. Do you have any thoughts. I would really appreciate any information you have, Leslye Goolsby
Sounds like the bearing at the bottom of the tub has failed. This is where your water is coming from as water has passed through that waterproofing gasket and compromised your bearing. This is a $30 part and you will need a tool pull the bearing and replace. Will take about 4 hours to fix and there are you tube video to follow. The noise will stop immediately with new bearing. Have fun.
Is there a filter that needs to be cleaned out as well??

There are other UA-cam video that takes the tub out. So you can clean the “basket with holes and the basket that surrounded the basket with holes

I have never had any problems like you describe. I would try calling an appliance repair company to see if they can give you a free repair quote.

What about the mold inside? There are a ton of videos illustrating this problem.
