@@lordjovin2504 True, the reactor in his suit is not capable of actually powering anything electrically (I hope I'm not wrong) but rather generating gases for what is essentially a handheld plasma cutter. @TopDoom Slayer: Contrary to common belief flying with just the boots would be really challenging especially with current technology. When they walked into the main area of the house, they saw the huge pile of loaded magazines, AK-47's stacked against the kitchen island, with a sniper rifle atop, that he hadn't moved after taking pictures of. The police were laughing about how the footprints on the linoleum floor got really far apart (thief running) to the front door (left standing open). If someone broke into Alex's Lab and was greeted by the sight of this guy getting up off his seat clad in what looks like an early Ironman power-suit with an Arc-Reactor glowing on his chest, and with a POP three flames ignite on his raised hand...the smell of excrement would pervade the room, as the thief ran screaming, pursued by a mad-scientist/engineer, laughing maniacally.

Theoretical science is fine. The stuff of noble intellect. But if you can't actually apply the science to the real world - somehow, to something tangible - then theory is just useless dreaming, effectively no different from fantasy.
@@progamerjakestudios8553 well some of the stuff that he is doing is smaller stuff it would take technology that we have not discovered like for example you need billions of what's of energy and we aren't even close to that also it would take billions of dollars
After watching Alex Lab Iron Man concepts, it made me think for a second... He is using electrosys to separate the hydrogen and oxygen molecules from water to obtain the fuel and oxydizer for his system, now, the first thing we can notice here is that he is not only obtaining fuel for the glove, but as a matter of fact, a big power storage with all that hydrogen and oxygen building up. Basically, if one were to build a full suit, it would be more or less a giant hydrogen fuel cell. Thing here is, you need power to break the water atoms creating potential energy, and transforming this potential energy back to kinectic energy will create some loses, which would render the model useless, unless you add some external devices to transform potential into kinectic energy, solar energy for instance. If we can solve the problems withing the hydrogen fuel cells concept that we face today and refine our knowledge of Hydraulics running on purely water, then I would say it would be possible to create a full operational Iron Man suit working on Hydrogen. Another thought I had was the viability of using a high power output pulse/laser to ionize the air ahead of the glove, creating plasma would probably be enough to permit a higher velocity output of the hydrogen from the glove, creating a longer and hotter beam. There would be alot of challenges (as Alex say) in such concept. Am not an engineer myself, and I this might be just a very dumb idea too unpratical to happen, but it might not be, who knows?
But how do you mean to use solar energy? It would not be as efficient and take more time, you would need to charge the solar cells so you need a big battery which means more weight
@@justsomeone899 maybe hydraulics could hold the weight of the suit, saw someone make a hydraulic suit that made the user significantly stronger. If it was incorporated into a full built weight wouldnt be an issue
@Dylan Barnett yes could be a try worth, but it reminds me on that military fail scene in the iron man movie where the top half of the suit turned around too strong and broke the guys back xD Edit: if the goal is to have a suit that can fly, the weight does matter still ;)

Actually the arc reactor is only a hyped concept.... You can notice it's only receiving energy from another energy source
@@lordjovin2504 True, the reactor in his suit is not capable of actually powering anything electrically (I hope I'm not wrong) but rather generating gases for what is essentially a handheld plasma cutter. And unless you wanna bring in Carbon Nanotubes or Graphene Batteries both of which are still at an experimental stage currently there are no better batteries than Li-ion or Li-Pol. And trust me you don't wanna strap a nuclear reactor to the chest (impossible and improbable concept). But the guy is still a GOAT for building all of that with scraps basically.
@TopDoom Slayer: Contrary to common belief flying with just the boots would be really challenging especially with current technology. The amount of force exerted would have to be greater than the weight of the person. Also jet propulsion under the boots is not a great idea for balance. It messes with the CG or something. Check out Hacksmith's Flying like Iron-Man project, he explained it better. The best tech out there currently for flying like Iron Man is by Richard Browning from Gravity Industries.

it's people like this that give me hope that humanity might have a chance
Imagine breaking into this guys house armed with a knife just for him to melt your knife 😂
Someone broke into my friend's house back in '01, through the bedroom window after a rainstorm, ransacked the bedroom (finding nothing of value but leaving muddy footprints).

@@progamerjakestudios8553 well some of the stuff that he is doing is smaller stuff it would take technology that we have not discovered like for example you need billions of what's of energy and we aren't even close to that also it would take billions of dollars
@@jjvon true but it could happen it would just take some size
I'll act as if I unferstood what he just wrote
But how do you mean to use solar energy? It would not be as efficient and take more time, you would need to charge the solar cells so you need a big battery which means more weight
@@justsomeone899 maybe hydraulics could hold the weight of the suit, saw someone make a hydraulic suit that made the user significantly stronger. If it was incorporated into a full built weight wouldnt be an issue
@Dylan Barnett yes could be a try worth, but it reminds me on that military fail scene in the iron man movie where the top half of the suit turned around too strong and broke the guys back xD
Edit: if the goal is to have a suit that can fly, the weight does matter still ;)
@@justsomeone899
