The key to using those plugs is to pull the embroidery needle out as fast as you can. Your last pull, probably out of frustration and after a few cuss words and laughing out of disgust was noticeably faster. I have had 4 new trailer tires still in the plastic sitting in my shop for months and 4 tires for my stand by ZTR showed up about 5 minutes ago. My trailer was supposed to get a new floor and all spruced up this spring to just sit all but one or two days out of the year. My next project, since my spring trailer project will happen in the fall now, is replacing the clutch on the good ZTR when the parts get here. I predict one of two scenarios. I will take the bolt out that holds the clutch in and it will literally fall off, OR, tan here will be oxyacetylene torch, a gear puller, cussing, and beating with a hammer to get it off. Any bets on which way it will go? Do you balance your trailer tires? like I said, mine may sit for a year before I need to use it or more accurately, loan it out.

@johnpyle8027 I think you're absolutely right about the last pull. Here's my funny story... I asked the tire shop if they charged more for taking the wheel off. The guy said "nope". They even put anti-seize on. Lesson learned 🤠👍

Seeing you struggle with the lug nuts- my dad let me borrow his DeWalt 20v 1/2" impact gun to do some automotive work and it was a game changer. Lug nuts were no problem at all. I felt like I was on the pit crew of a Nascar racer. I see you have a impact driver but it didn't look like a 1/2" one. Also, you were using standard sockets instead of impact sockets. You'll end up messing up your sockets if you keep using them with an impact driver. It will stretch them.

My trailer is lighter duty than yours 5X10 7,000 lb GVW. I just bought it and it is 2yrs old. My battery operated 1/2 inch torque when had no problem removing lugs but there was rust on threads. On Ebay I bought a set of lig nuts and center caps. The lug nuts are the acorn type and keeps threads covered so they won't rust.

I have antiseze here but I just rather have the threads covered. Caps and acorn nuts look better. 20 lugnuts and 4 caps were $100. I think that your trailer has 24 lugs
