Yes marginal aquatics will help esp with reducing excess nutrients, which will also reduce potential algae. Must say ive had great success using straw bales to clear water in my ponds, esp newly built with the colloids still in suspension. Carbon absorbs and the microbes that comes and is added along with the straw also plays a role in clearing the pond water. There are some research about barley straw too.

Nice work! I've seen you weld on Kubota ears like this before, using the machines coupler and some c clamps to get them in the correct position. Not sure if you do this but it wasn't shown in the video, but adding a 1/16" shim between one ear and the coupler helps a lot. I did one that ended up a bit too tight.
Never run with scissors either! I am glad you were not seriously hurt. I had a creative Andrew moment! I went down to my moms house to mow the lawn. She doesn't live there now and it's empty. I went down and mowed the lawn and did a bit of trim. I keep it nice for the neighbors. I got in my car and it would not start. Hmm, I am not mechanical at all. I lifted the hood and checked the cables. There was all sorts of white powder on them. I found a pair of pliers in the garage and took them off. I found a mini wire brush and cleaned them ( I talk a lot sorry). I put it back together and nothing. I only have a cell phone for emergencies. In the past year I think I used it twice. I charge it up and it can go six month before needed charged again. I always carry it with me when I am alone for occasions just like this. Grrrr I did not have it with me.. Why me? Dear Lord why me? I have copd and certainly could not walk anywhere. I did try two neighbors and they were not home. I thought I'd just sit there and wait until the afternoon when I was missed and one of them would check here. While I was sitting in my car I hadn't shut the garage door yet. I looked in my trunk and I had my cheap jumper cables. Get ready to laugh! I started up my John Deere L100 riding mower and pulled it by the front and attached the cables. I tried starting it, nothing. I let it charge 10 minutes. It kinda wanted to kick over! I let it sit 10 more minutes and the car fired right up! Wow. I did it by myself. And with a lawn mower. I swear, I would have never thought of using that lawn mower and getting creative if I had not thought of Andrew and what he does to get a job done. I drove straight in town and got a new battery. The guy commented that my battery was an original so I got 11 years out of it and he was impressed a factory battery lasted that long. I bought it new, 2011 Chevy Malibu. It just turned 6,200 miles. With copd I order my groceries in, even before the pandemic and only leave once a month to the doctors and to stop and get my medications. So watching Andrew and others brings the outside world in to my home. Loved this video. That pond looks awesome.
Nice work Andrew! Hoping you heal quickly! Used to do a lot of Ortho surgery up here in Albany. Hopefully you didn’t need surgery! I guess you went to Kingston if you needed surgery. Great video, great pond!

Excellent video Andrew, pupperoni's needed a water hole to jump into, and that one is really nice. Very zen video, nice to relax with. Nice to see you and Sam chillin'. Btw, Dirt Perfect, Mat from Diesel Creek, and letsdig18 want you to show up to some events. Matt from diesel creek does a lot of antique excavation shows, you should go to one. Cross pollinate the channels, it provides great content and you would go crazy operating cable equipment..I guarantee it!
glad youre getting around! I rolled my left ankle getting off my kabota tractor last month in a wash out. severe sprain.. lucky it didnt break! No joke when youre incapacitated. 2 days ago i dropped a deep cycle battery on the other foot because the cheap handle broke.. stupid cheap plastic junk! now im hobbling around again! You got a good aide there to keep you mobile!!
look up project farm on UA-cam, he does a really good good job testing tools by brands. Andrew, from my observation, is using a Metabo drill for most of his videos, with other brands coming into play from time to time.
Let's see Sam on the excavator and other equipment. I think she has become an important part of the show now. I think she would be an excellent operator if given the chance. Instead of driving all the vehicles. Give her a chance....
I would be very interested to see what sort of plans you've drawn out on paper or in your imagination for the mountain top property. The puppy pond was a great idea. I'm fairly sure you aren't just going haphazard. Show us your ideas.
You know Lionel, I kind of like the way Andrew sees an opportunity and capitalises on it. I'm guessing he sees potential in something, (a tool, a part, a bucket, or a location etc) and develops a concept that works for him, does the mental logistics on it, weighs up the cost/benefit (is it worth it) and then goes for it. There is nothing wrong with that. In fact, it is probably the most efficient way to do things; no plans to draw up, and redraw and follow.... Well done Andrew (and helpers).
@@elliejackson6907 - I’m pretty sure you are exactly right!”😂😂. He can see the end results in his head before doing the work! I work similarly. If I have very specific plans, they change anyway. I do a lot of decks for family and friends and I have it in my head. Lumber list, everything. Eventually I will write the number and size of the lumber needed as well as concrete etc. then I mark it out and build it. Since I get very great responses to the product I build, I guess people that know me have come to trust me. I take their tastes and styles, budgets get expanded because it’s a hobby for me. I cover my costs plus about 10%. I don’t do any work for strangers or people that do not know me well. I only book one job at a time so my plans don’t get messed up!😂😂. They are floating free form up there!! Heh heh. Andrew is much the same, BUT I believe he can juggle more than one project very easily!! Makes me a bit jealous,,, haha. You are definitely good at determining how a person seems to think.
Andrew, congratulations on your ability to overcome the broken foot. Re the pond, there's obviously a lot of silt/clay in there. Would a gravel lining help and/or an aerator/filter assy?
Lol I just recovered from a broken ankle and bought the same thing. Its so much better than crutches for short distances and you can actually still get things done. Good luck and keep up the good vids
sorry to see you on the injured list and as always thanks for the videos! its funny to see what they turned the walking cast into.. it was first used in india to help with amputees and was originally 2 boards a length of branch and some rope....im betting your cast costs hundreds when the original cost pennies

15:13 for those wondering what happened to Andrews foot... Although I would suggest watching the full video, as Andrew is one of the best content creators on UA-cam.
I can't believe he's driving with his left foot😂, that's actually crazy, I've tried doing that just out of curiosity and I legit almost crashed, your left foot just isn't used to the light touch required for driving, so that is seriously impressive on his part, must have taken him a bit to get used to
That’s probably true for anyone who didn’t do any go karting as a kid. I can regulate both my feet just as well. In karting you brake exclusively with your left foot.
I broke my right leg, ankle, and foot in several places many years ago, and once I got out of the hospital, just 3 weeks later was driving my cars again. First few times it's a little sketchy, but you quickly get the hang of it. Using your left foot to brake takes some getting used to. Even after my foot was considered "healed", I continued using my left foot to brake for a while, until I built up strength in my right foot and got the muscles in my right leg back up to par.
@@AndrewCamarata lol right cause it's on the other side, that's crazy....you know what would be an awesome video, you buying an old little postal truck and doing like a tour of the thing about all it's 'quirks and features' and like accidentally roll it off a cliff like what happened with that Toyota you had😂

Your grass seed was coming up pretty good also . Well Andrew looks like you found a friendly , pretty young gal and it looks like she’s a great match Pond looks great ThankYou Andrew wish I lived closer
Another great video , as usual . Love the pond , looks great , only going to improve over time , plants would be great . I think that Blue is the smart one he waits till Cody has done the work then takes the bounty himself !! Cant wait to see the rock crusher in action , you have a lot of road surfaces to improve !!
I think your pool is going to be good the dog sure I love it and you did a good job sorry about breaking your foot last fall I broke my ankle and that’s kind of a pain but keep up the good work and I will keep watching god bless
Andrew is like the US Mail...NOTHING will stop him from completing a task. Broken foot , no problem.
Guy is a legend.
He was a postal employee at one time
@@kevinthomas895 I know that.. that's the joke.
Two uploads in one week! It’s our lucky day fellas!
Enjoying your video, pray for your leg healing, take care,
I agree with adding a shim when building - even just 5-10 sheets of paper is sufficient.
A couple layers of masking tape works well
Good info. Thanks
Nice to see you and Sam sitting down by the pool ,CHILLING,😂
Look at that fall foliage ! Those trees are turning many pretty colors !
Nice work Andrew! Hoping you heal quickly! Used to do a lot of Ortho surgery up here in Albany. Hopefully you didn’t need surgery! I guess you went to Kingston if you needed surgery. Great video, great pond!
The man does more in a day with a broken foot than alot of so called able bodied men can think of doing all day, together.
We need more like you brother.
Great video as always ! Love watching, always interesting, great skills, love the machines. Dogs are ace to watch.
I never saw that kind of brace for a broken foot. I hope it heals as fast as possible for you Andrew
You are straight up one bad ass determined hard working and awesome person.
Thanks.
Another interesting video, just wish it was a bit longer. I hope Andrews's foot gets better sooner than later.🔆
I think the Video with the Excavator Shovel is an older Video, in the Last Video he walk normally (The Video where he reparis the Road up the Hill)
Hope it´s correct, my english isn´t very well 😅
His foot was healed at the end od the video where he was sitting on a rock by the pond. Go back and take a look. 👍
U have ur two "sons" seal of approval, job well done !
@@anttihuttula6547 is english a second language for you, you make zero sense...
At all his vids I just shake my head and smile. AC's doing it right....
Hope your foot gets better soon Andrew, all the best :)
The blue lagoon on top of the hill. Very nice get away place Andrew. Take care.
Not even a broken foot stops this guy. Bionic Man 😂
glad youre getting around!
Best youtuber
Very cozy outro. Cool place he's created, amongst the castle and the mountain top.
Even with a broken foot Andrew still has a unstoppable work ethic
Thanks for all the updates. Pond and the landscaping looks great! Nice job as always.
I’ve noticed through out your videos you use different cordless power tool brands. Which brand is the highest quality?
That beat up craftsman lol
look up project farm on UA-cam, he does a really good good job testing tools by brands. Andrew, from my observation, is using a Metabo drill for most of his videos, with other brands coming into play from time to time.
@@wills5482 probably!
@@Reidbit will do
Depends what you need it for. Milwakee is popular for automotive, Makita for carpenters.
Cool pond!!! I can't wait for the video that will come out of that rock crusher/screener!!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻💯💯
Let's see Sam on the excavator and other equipment.
I think she has become an important part of the show now.
I think she would be an excellent operator if given the chance. Instead of driving all the vehicles.
Give her a chance....
@@JJ-yn8fl She has a youtube channel too her name is Samantha Weber.
Girl? I thought Andrew liked young teenage boys. She looks like a dude.
I would be very interested to see what sort of plans you've drawn out on paper or in your imagination for the mountain top property. The puppy pond was a great idea. I'm fairly sure you aren't just going haphazard. Show us your ideas.
Ditto.
@@dachord Can,t wait
You should put bluestone all the way around that pond. Would look great! your vids are money in the bank. Keep em coming, Andrew.
Andrew, congratulations on your ability to overcome the broken foot. Re the pond, there's obviously a lot of silt/clay in there. Would a gravel lining help and/or an aerator/filter assy?
@@anttihuttula6547 koita ny käyttäytyä.
Lol I just recovered from a broken ankle and bought the same thing. Its so much better than crutches for short distances and you can actually still get things done. Good luck and keep up the good vids
My boss used one and he probably put 50 miles on it
sorry to see you on the injured list and as always thanks for the videos! its funny to see what they turned the walking cast into.. it was first used in india to help with amputees and was originally 2 boards a length of branch and some rope....im betting your cast costs hundreds when the original cost pennies
Hundreds IF you have insurance.
Thank god for the NHS in the uk just pop in get fixed and leave no bills no fuss
@@essexginge9167 fixed with paracetamol xD
I swear, between Andrew and Trustin Timber, I get more good content than any other 10 content makers combined.
thanks for the provided captions - some videos of yours dont have them and some people rely on them. Please always add them
That's pond is amazing 👏 😍 you guys did a great job.
This was a good'ol old school top of the line video. Well done. Made me feel like I was apart of it. You truly have an amazing life. You're so very very Blessed. Your hard work has been multiplied 10 fold because you're such a good man. 👍
How’d you break your foot Andrew ?
I guess you’ve answered that one for me Andrew
you are such nice parents to build the kids a pool!!! Glad to see your foot healed.
If Andrew were in the military, he'd be the most bad ass special forces guy there is. Nothing stops him.
15:13 for those wondering what happened to Andrews foot... Although I would suggest watching the full video, as Andrew is one of the best content creators on UA-cam.
"This foot broke for no reason" 🤣🤣
@@howsyourdangler Haha, that whould have been a PRICELESS joke! XD
I wish I was there to help you but I’m glad you still did it. I hope you get better soon Andrew
I drove with my left foot delivering mail for years.
@@AndrewCamarata I think you may have a scammer that responded to Andrew London. And they have been saying to others they have gifts just didn't want anybody to get scammed. Just a heads up they are using your same UA-cam profile picture. Love your content keep it up brother!
