Also I am 100% convinced Seda=Reybrandt. I've thought this for a decade because if you look at the castle, the layout in the last floor of Gallery of Time and the Castle is very similar.
Hello again Yute! Wow, I never took the layout of the castle into consideration but now that you mention it they do look veeeerry similar! I feel like although Dark Cloud and Dark Chronicle have certain connections which thread them together like Georama, Dark Genie, Osmand and Monica as a potential decendant of Seda but that 3D model of her father looks a lot like him!
I am very convinced as well! It’s also interesting because you know originally Seda was meant to be a playable character in the first Dark Cloud and he was going to use magic and a sword. Who else do we know that uses magic and a sword?
@@DarkCloudCompendium I think that secret energy is the theme for the final boss against the dark genie, but for some reason they used the main theme of DC1. I think of two possibile reason: - the theme of DC1 creates a more clear reference with the first game; - the original final boss shouldn't have been the Dark Genie but something else that was scrapped, and so the music (in some way the entire chapter 8 feels like kinda rushed in my opinion) Too bad because as Jamie said, is a real banger! 💪
Hey there Yuke, thank you so much for the kind words. I'm very fortunate to have an audience that's as passionate about Dark Cloud as I am! It makes me happy to hear that not only do people want me to improve in some areas but that they are also noticing the improvements I've been making haha! 💪😀 I'm doing my best to listen to the constructive criticism left behind in regards to my vocal delivery, I made an investment and purchased a better microphone and I've been making the video's louder too since people have been asking for that as well 🎤 Thank you for all your support Yuke, I hope you'll continue to enjoy these videos ✌😃 Have a great day 🌟
Interesting video. - I love the first Dark Cloud but never got to play the second game. I think there is a link between Dark Cloud and the game White Knight Chronicles also.
Hey there DR, I hope all is well with you and your loved ones! Have you checked out some of the other DC 1 videos that I put out, I think you'll really like them :)
When you first said "Dark Knight: Pendragon" I for some reason i heard Dark Souls: Pendragon and thought that Dark Souls had ripped off a Dark Cloud song. haha We all know that Dark Souls is the poor man's Dark Cloud anyway ;) love the channel & I'm still watching I just don't always comment. i've shared the channel/videos with friends who were there playing along with me back in the day!

I think the music is similar for pendragon and the fight scene, we can understand why they'd need to reuse and maybe sped up. Also, something that's been on my mind a little lately, is where were all the other dancers from nolune Village? Obviously we have alnet and the ones playing the instruments and macho and Claude dancing, but what about the others? Were they brought in for the celebration? And if so, where did they go when the village was destroyed?
Hey Ky, that's a very good question, I know in the Dark Cloud Press Disc Video I talked about the in a press announcement made for Dark Cloud prior to it's release where they said the Dark Genie made the villagers "Perish" so it's save to say that not all the villagers made it sadly :(

Love the content as usual! Faster version for those short on time! One think ive always wanted to hear your opinion on, was this: What would you want to see in a dark cloud 3? Would it have unique characters? Also would the story actually happen or would it take place in another story book like dark cloud 1? What chances do you think there are? (Probably kinda low :/) Also, would this be a video you would be interested in making? Whenever I get reminded of dark cloud I often think of all this!
Hey there Brandon, I hope your having a great day! Oh man would I love to see Dark Cloud 3 on the PS5! I'd really want them to focus on the inportance of Georama. In Dark Cloud 1 there were several cut Georama mechanics like being able to share your world online and play with others, being able to control the weather and adding animals, i'd like to see alm of these come back into the Dark Cloud series. In terms of the gameplay I think how DC 2 handled it was fine, I actually really enjoy the grind and the weapon system! I'd want an all new story with new characters, maybe going back 7 or 4 playable characters. I'd want similar themes like the Atlamelia, the Dark Genie, Osmand being a reocciring character and focusing on a world view artstyle like how DC 1 did as it was a globetrotting adventure that took the player everywhere! We should be able to push things forward and I think the time travel story is great for DC 2 but it can cause problems moving forward as the more you encorporate time travel stories the more they risk being convoluted and having plotholes. I asked the Level 5 devs who I spoke to if the series will make a return and they said that although the team is still at L5 and they love the series the chances are 50/50 Sony is still interested but it's Level 5 that does not want to return to the DC series as they want to branch out and continue profiting off of their own IPs they have sole ownership over :( I'd love to do a video on this topic maybe during the Summer once I have more time :)
@@DarkCloudCompendium All that sounds amazing! I totally agree with what you would want in it. Bigger and better georama. New characters with a new story. Also more than 2 as well. The weapon grind was actually my favorite part of dark cloud. Putting so much work into this weapon that always has a fun transformation when it gets strong enough. I always thought it was a brilliant idea to upgrade the weapons instead of the character. (Excluding health and defense) I think it would be cool if it took place in the same world as dark cloud 2. Since the first game all was in a story book and didn't actually happen. Maybe they can do what red dead 2 did and make the entire 1st world map part of the game but also add an entire new part of the map where the story would take place in. Imagine walking down the streets of Palm brinks in ps5 graphics. Exploring the dungeon of starlight canyon. Or even returning to a ruined moon flower palace? Maybe it can take place in Monica's future where another threat destroys the world. Weapons can be creatively futuristic if they wanted to. It would take place after the events of dark cloud 2. Time travel is forbidden. Although Monica goes to the past at the end of dark cloud 2. Its never said that she comes back. But a cameo of an older Monica would be great! Im probably rambling at this point, but i just have so much love for this series and wouldnt want it to end on dark cloud 2.
Even with this much beta content, we don't know where is the car that is shown in the opening (the one driven by Max falling from the blackstone one) ahahah The pacing is much better btw 💪
Hey hey Pier, I hope your day is going well! 🌟✌ Haha there was honestly so much content to go through between the Beta, the Prequel Translation and the Press Disc that I forgot to mention the car scene. The intial video was almost 45 minutes making it the longest Compendium video thus far! @@DarkCloudCompendium so you're saying that in the next podcast I will have the answer? I'm waiting for almost 20 years, so i will watch your podcast for sure, man!
Hey @Pierteresiox92 While I didn't have the opportunity to ask anyone who worked on DC 2 about that specific car scene we did talk in the past about the development process on these games and how they were made in terms of a creative process so I feel like I may be able to answer this question based off of what was told to me in the past. What became of that car scene is it initally was intended to be included in the game until another developer came up with another idea that worked better for the boss sequence leaving that older car scene scrapped. Now why it was included in the opening is a bit of a mystery, either the opening video was already created before they switched the boss sequence or they had the assests lying around and they wanted to repurpose it for a cool visual. I hope that all made sense! 😊
Hey @@DarkCloudCompendium! Hope everything is ok! Yeah It kinda makes sense, but I think another thing, that is the fact that if you can prepare the opening of a game, it means that you're in one of the last stage of development, do you agree? So, I find kinda strange that even in the game files that car is not found.. I mean you found beta models for Max and Monica (would it be interesting to see them in game in some way..) but they removed the car.. Tell me freely if I'm wrong heh!
@@Pierteresiox92 Oh no your not wrong at all, typically these videos are done when things are more finalized video game creation could be a strange beast after all! I wish I would have asked about that car scene specifically prior to making this video just so we're not forced to speculate but i'm fairly certain the concept of the boss fight was changed when something better came along as that's how Level 5 would operate, they'd make temporary placeholders until something better came along and if something didn't work properly they'd cut it all together:)
I'd love if L5 made DC3, or if anyone made something similar.
