My parents had an outside dog for 10 years. When I moved out, I took him because they could no longer take care of him. He’s now a house dog and I’ve taught him to sit, lay, roll over, and stay all today in less than an hour.
Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!

Just found your channel. We just got a new puppy yesterday. Weve been talking about it for some time now and a neighbor down the road was looking to re home a 2 and a half month old shepherd mix. We spent the last 2 days hanging out with her to see how her energy levels were and shes perfect for us. Looking forward to learning some new training techniques.

Aww I remember when my German Shepherd / Labrador Mix was a puppy. Literally the cutest thing ever. Cherish their puppy days as much as you can... I wish I could go back to those moments, but at least I have the videos on my phone!

My family just brought home an 11 month old bichon poodle mix puppy yesterday and these videos are great to help us get started with training

I just visited a shelter where there were a lot of chocolate Labrador and they also had a 11 week chocolate lab so I adopted him , He’s so goddamn cute

My old dog that we don’t have no more we visit her at my grandmas and she had puppies and my mom said we can keep one when it’s old enough unless you train it and it worked we kept it thank you!

My friend has depression and anxiety so she gets easily irritated..She doesn't have time for her dog and she doesn't train him.. I always come to her house.. Sometimes if the dog pees in the carpet she hits it and leaves him outside for the night... once it got lost and we tried to find it but she didn't come.. she put it in adoption and i adopted it.. i had to get used to a lot of things and taking care of dogs is hard but if you really love your dog youll never get tired loving it

I just got my new puppy whose turning 8 weeks old tomorrow
We have only had her for about a week and she can pretty much confidently sit, stand up (she’s a dachshund cross jack russel), lie down, let go, come when called and she she can almost shake

Great video. This is why, I don't suggest training dogs with treats especially puppies, at 6:06 minute. They don't care about treats. Play is more important but we humans force them to care and focus on treats because we are looking for shortcuts. The interactions itself is the biggest reward. There is more than just treat training dogs. It's 2018 and things have changed but our old way of thinking about training hasn't. Let's change the way dogs need to get trained.

It's a lot harder to fine tune certain things without treats as it's easier for a dog to understand when they done good they get treat when they done really good they get treat and attention but attention on its own can be hard to pinpoint what exactly am I getting attention for especially when I want to sometimes be able yo give my dog love and attention even if he's not doing anything in particular I've asked
Great videos so far!!! Our family just got a new puppy and I really find Zak’s tips to be helpful and instructive. I really love the idea of making the bond part of the bigger picture.

I adopted my dog on The first of July. We got him from the Maricopa county pound; they said he is probably about 1 years old, and he is a border collie-Siberian husky mix. We named him Chakra and he loves peanut butter and hot dog pieces. He is very quiet and we have had him for 8 days. He had just gotten nurtured the day before we adopted him. He hasn't barked once, the pound said he was brought in as a stray, but We think he might have been a hunting dog with his other owner, because when ever he sees a bunny or a bird out side, he lifts up his right paw and tries to go chase it. We also think he might have had a shock/ pong collar on since he is so quiet and he does almost anything we say. We taught him "sit" and he sleeps in an iCrate medium size. He keeps coughing and sneezing, and we don't have any plants or flowers he could really be allergic to. Does anyone know why he keeps coughing and sneezing? Thanks.
PlatinumCurlz Productions Or Kennel Cough since he came from the pound 😕. Take him to the vet asap to check. Kennel Cough is contagious to other dogs.

I have been watching these videos and in 4 weeks.. got my 3 month old puppy to sit, come and go in her crate. Working on the biting and leash training. We were in a parking lot and she was so afraid of doors, I got out some treats ask her to sit .. treat.walk ..sit.. got her excited about doors lol.

Maybe out of topic, I have a question.
I have a 5 year old canine cocker mix female dog which I feel felt lonely. So we got a new puppy a 3 month dachshund. My canine, has changed so much after bringing him in. She doesn't come into my room anymore and when she comes out to the living room, she looks and goes back to her room. . I've been trying to hug her but she ignores me. Last night she was whining and I felt horrible because I see her sad now (maybe jealousy). He's been here for three weeks and I thought that by now they would get along.
It's been several times that the canine barks and growls at him. Today, she was 1 cm away from biting his face. I don't know that to do with them. Are they ever going to get along?

Lizbeth Ayala oh, she thinks ur giving the puppy more attention than her try to give her many surprises and cuddles as much as possible so she knows she’s the first love
feed her first before your new one, always give her treats first and wait for her to start eating before giving your other dog food. It shows who is the boss and will make her feel less replaced
Maybe you should take a break for 30 minutes a day to play with your 5 year old, trust me it works like magic, you'll be happy and so will your doggo!
Got my Boston Terrier puppy when he was 13 weeks. He’s now 27 weeks old. I’m trying to teach him to walk nicely.
I have trouble with him pulling in the leash (although he’s good sometimes) and him lunging out at people. Some of these videos were helpful.

It's a little bit harder to train my dog because I have treats, he loves them but I don't thing he dies for them. When I try lure training he follows the treat for 1 sec and looks at me with doggy eyes😍( 9 week German Shepherd ) Know any treats he'd die for?

My dog is currently 10 years old. At nine I trained her, how to sit, wait, come, go, left, right, bed, and a few other tricks. I didn’t even think about how weird my commands are. For example, for sit I hold my hand in a fist at my waist, and really the command. But for jump I have my hand in a fist at my head. So yea

My family has a dog but he needs a playmate since he gets sad when he doesn't get enough attention when we're busy, and kind of has a bit of separation anxiety. Plus we'd love another addition to the family. My dad is okay with having another dog, but my mom definitely isn't.

comer2k Some dogs don't play simple. If you want to try and teach her I'm pretty sure he has a video called "how to teach fetch" or something like that

I think u overtreat as i taught my dog to come down the stairs with practically no treats or toys... but i guess different dogs are different
mathew holman He isn't over treating, if you're stingy with treats it can slow dog training for pups and it looked like he was giving normal kibble anyways

mathew holman like Yash said he gives very tiny pieces of meat. boiled chicken usually I think. puppies often need lots of treats to keep them Interested and to keep the experience positive. they have a very short attention span.

I’ve been asking for a puppy for the last 6 years and in two weeks, my mom will go to pick up the puppy because we’ve already bought the plane ticket! I’ve almost lost hope MANY times but I kept on going and finally, my godmothers brothers dog had puppies and he was willing to give us one. Keep trying lol
