Gordons crash in "A better view for Gordon" was actually inspired off the Gare Montparnasse Derailment which happened in Paris in 1895
This is canon but when u mentioned Old Bailey. He apparently appears during the Brenaissance and having a cameo in Blue Mountain mystery.
