7:35 You SAY you'd go for a colorful model but let me tell you as a Kyalami Green owner it gets very old very quickly. It turns 100+ heads a day on the streets in town but that comes with pros and cons. When you live in a smaller town (under 100k population) your car becomes very recognizable very quickly. Every person in that town who is jealous of that car is waiting for the opportunity to mess with it or record you/report you to the police every time they see you have a little fun. You remember that 50 year old woman who pulled out in front of you and you honked the horn at? Just so happens she's parking next to you 3 weeks later at Tesco and best believe she's gonna "accidentally" swing her door open too hard. Having a color like Kyalami Green is fun until you realize you've now just made yourself a target in your town. Meanwhile, the guys with the flame/burble tune blacked out 118i's who do 70mph in residential areas can drive the car for years and never have an issue. DO NOT GET COLORS THAT STAND OUT UNLESS YOU'RE PREPARED TO ALWAYS BE ANXIOUS AND CAUTIOUS!
Audi is making some very nice looking cars lately, all well designed and well proportioned from all angles! Glad they stuck to integrated dashboards instead of just sticking tablets screens like other car manufacturers! Good review as always though!
Design team keeps messing up small details lately. Steering wheel looks crap and having the logo cut into the singke frame grille was a big mistake. So close to being "spot on".
Current 8y owner, I think the only thing I that surprised me is the new design of rear bumper & diffuser. To be honest, it looks much better than the 8y
I get it’s a small thing but greatness is many small great things together. The omission of the special red rhombus for S and RS models on the front grille is completely and utterly asinine with ZERO reason for removing what’s been an Audi tradition since the very first Audi sport models decades ago.
I don't understand something, they changed the branding right? As well the RS logo, so why there is STILL the old logos on the buckets and steering wheel ?? On the steering wheel you can see the difference of the logo on the red button and on the bottom of the steering wheel. That would drive me mad lol.
It will be in south africa late 2025, let me work hard as i have never did before ,, i am in love with the RS3 as always, but that a$$ is amazing , i am indeed in ❤....RBR always....this is impossible for people like me, but it doesnt stop me from dreaming...great car
Dealer here in NJ told me they would put $20k mark up on the car😂😂. Although I love this car, for $20k more I would just go for a used M3 from last year.
Other than the Carbon seats I think I prefer the previous version, hoping the software can be updated on the previous one to this software for better handling
What about Carbon black or vorsprung models with extra spoilers etc and what other colours are there? Thanks. Great video and love how you show the old model for comparison 👍👍👍
@@speeddemonRS3 I have the geenration before this. Mines a 2017 and I do feel Audi have downgraded the interior quality in particular. I didn't like the looks of the non-facelift version of this care but this facelift design improves it. I still think my gen looks better overall inside and out but I would say that :D
@chilled99 I owned an 8v for three years and recently got a new 8y, and there is not a single thing I don't like better in the new one! They made it way more aggressive looking with a wide- body front end and the tech inside is next level and the suspension over bumps and the handling is honestly 10x better man!
@@speeddemonRS3 I prefer the rear tail lights of my facelift 8v, the climate controls, the air vents. I'd like the new tech from the 8Y though. Other than that the tech I didn't see much reason to upgrade. The "power blisters" of the wheel arches on the 8Y is a nice addition, for sure. Looking at the facelift 8Y, now thats starting to sway me. Maybe I'm just a facelift guy - like the designers perfect things on the second try if you know what I mean.
I like the bucket seat contrast colors instead of that red. I would most likely do that if I picked any color, it would be the black one with the bucket seat
Will be interesting to drive compared to the 8y, having had the 8y rs3 and a G87 m2, it was night and day which one I'd rather be behind the wheel for longer drives. BMW nailed the new m2's as a drivers car imho. But we all love that little 5 cylinder ;-)
Great comprehensive insight into what’s changed! Must say I don’t like you advocating for the GTS tuning (or any engine tuning) plug and play units. No matter how developed, they are a risk and complete inadequate device.
I don't care about the badging really. I'm just curious what will be available for the US. I want the carbon seats but I've never seen them available here. Anyone know if the Sonos audio is any good? Is that replacing the B&O?
@RemoveBeforeRace Firstly, great review and thank you. As a person recently joined your channel from Canada and watched your 2025 S3 review, do you know if new RS3 has pre-loaded turbo and 50% faster gear switch for DSG? I would like to assume if new S3 has it, new RS3 must have it but don't want to assume. Are you able to get this confirmed to Audi? Thanks again!
hey when you do a review of the new b10 audi sq5 and s5 please call them out for dropping the six piston front brakes they are using a single piston caliper! this is cheap and unacceptable nobody is mentioning this in their reviews and i was hoping you would. thanks again love your content!
Also started using carbon seats 😂 even tho they don't look near the level as bmws. Funny. Even the red buttons on the steering wheel seem to mimic the m1 and m2 buttons u see on a bmw.
The one thing that annoys me about the "new" exhaust is seeing the two small outsets inside the large oval. Why not just make an actual exhaust that shape? If its bifurcated, just split the oval further back. The exhaust in reality has nothing to do with the nice beefy oval at the back 😞
I, too, prefer the sedan. I just don't like any hatchback at all. Sedan all the way. Even the Honda Civic and Mercedes A-Class I prefer the sedan versions.
Lol, they make the new RS3 badging out of the red box, but inside on the bucket seat ,com"on AUDI at lease leaves the RS model with the R on the red box.

@DarthCat-n3v that’s quite mean mate
@DarthCat-n3v I’m bald brother
Very nice car, much more agressive and better than prefacelift
Finally with bucket seats that do the RS DNA justice!

Great video mate, probably the hottest and longest filming day of my life 😅
I’m just proud we survived without any lasting skin damage (that we know of)
@@RemoveBeforeRacewill the uk be getting the carbon bucket seats ?

Maybe because it's a foot longer, I dunno.

Yeah...a bit of a circus...😫😫
Hate that we can't get the 5 door in the US.
15:20 are we gonna ignore the spider on the steering wheel?
Imagine if this spider was on the steering of a new Alfa Romeo Spider...
I like the wheels on the previous one I love the black badge also
Hi Raz, great episode as always mate, I'm from South Africa and actually appreciate that you pronounced Kyalami so well👊🏾💯🔥
Ye I also commend his pronunciation
@@quintonmofokeng1673 , yeah I genuinely smiled 😁our track is recognised

love the tiny jumping spider on the steering wheel
That SOUND👌
I love the way this looks its a mini rs6
Turning the saloon into a sportback like they did with the new A5/S5 would be the perfect compromise - We want the hatch in NA 😮💨
Carbon seats look like they give rear passenger seats more leg room too. I’d definitely buy these off someone abroad lol
I like how they cleaned up the design. Now I like this generation looks more

Idk why everyone hating on the steering wheel I like it. Both this and the c8 steering wheel are comfy to hold and mess around in.
Damn! That sound is fire.
If it’s only had the rs badge on that grill! Other than that it’s perfect.
New badge on the lid, old badges everywhere else 😅
Are we going to get all the options and styling in UK ?
Personal preference :
I like the previous logo style better 🚶
And the honeycomb
This makes me hopeful that the upcoming RS5 will be a looker.
I like the bucket seat contrast colors instead of that red. I would most likely do that if I picked any color, it would be the black one with the bucket seat
what is with black fronts, it looks like it lost it's bumpers
Great car. Don’t mind the removal of the badge still is one of the sexiest cars out there.
The 'RS' badge on the carbon seats is the old style🤣 Doesn't match the crap new 'RS' logo on the outside of the car lol
Yeah, same with the one on the ‘satellite’ button vs the one on the bottom of the steering wheel. Would’ve expected to Audi to be more consistent! ☹️
really wish they had the sportback in the US
wasnt the rev counter look in the r8 and tts/ttrs? its not really new new
Do the carbon buckets take away any backseat space vs the regular sport seats?
Are the vents located on the outer front section of the bumper is a cooling vent for the front brakes?
Will the next gen rs3 have a manual?
I hope the hatchback variant releases in the states... I doubt it but I am hopeful

A little tune will do the job

How does that raised volume on the startups work and for how long? Does it raise the revs or something and would it work from cold start? Great video!

If only they sold the hatchback in the U.S, I also wish they added a carbon fiber grill like they do with the RSQ8.
Gorgeous
in person its gorgeous. i seen one at the audi showroom today. the badge is marmite though

Please bring the sportback to the USA Audi!

Decent car, but there doesn't seem to be any reason to spend extra on a new one when you can get a slightly used pre-facelift one at a nice discount
The design up front is weird especially when you track where the color goes. Which is nowhere in particular.
You want to talk about weird front design go to bmw 💀
No bucket seats on uk configurator 😢

Chrome Audi rings seem more old fashioned imo
Just looks too much like a Jetta. I dont see the appeal of a pricey FWD based AWD car. To each their own i suppose.
