- In this episode, I show how I use a Malectrics Arduino Car Battery Spot Welder to secure nickel strips onto LiFePO4 cells and turn four 3.2v cells into a 12.8v battery for ham radio.

Well done Dennis 👍
Thanks @OH8STN!
Great video. Pro tip for you. Instead of tape get a little magnet to hold the strips in place.
pure nickel is a non-ferrous metal
Pretty cool!
Awesome ! Why is the red light on the spotwelder on ??Supposed to be green !
What's the cost of the spot welder? I have nearly 2000 cells to connect, 14, 100 cell packs, I built a microwave transformer based spot welder, but the primary winding is burned, I do not want to rewind it, and don't have another, I have a timer, and electrodes, I'm thinking about trying it with my 120v mig welder, I don't know how that would turn out!! Ha-ha..
It's €109 + shipping for the full bundle kit. I think that came out to around ~$135.
their pricing this thing in many different ways....$109 plus the leads plus the fuse plus of this plus to that or $120 euros looks like out the door
Awesome but make sure when welding or any electrical work should wear jewelry
