You just have to shoot Magic Man once during the pattern because he will just keep gliding across the room if you hit him and he’s still in invincibility frames. The robot masters in this game have 2 second invincibility frames as well..
Well, what I meant was that the "trick" of most magic acts is actually fairly simple, but performing it is STILL very hard because you need to know exactly what to say, where to stand, where to point, where to look even and you also need to improvise if something doesn't go the right way or if the audience acts unexpectedly. A magic act is far more than just the "trick". It's an art! Sorry for rambling, but it really is a subject I'm very interested in.
Right, it's basically a strategy game, trying to delete your opponent's chips while protecting your own so you can leave the enemy defenseless and go on the attack. I might try making some videos about it later.
It's kind of weird how he went from being a 'show man' magician to a wizard when he was brought to battle network... but he's still an over all cool robot master. Nice job!
@arthurarneiro Just tap the button so you make sure you don't shoot to many times then jump his attacks. If you want a more detailed way with an example on how to do it, check out PinkKittyRose's perfect run of Magic Man's stage, since she did this as well with Bass.
Aye, this place is fun for showing off maneauverability X) I know Kit enjoyed it too, he basically tried to speed run the stage while he was doing a Bass run of the game X)
That's a good disappearing act he does at the end, too! :) I think part of his appeal is that Magic Man is one of the smoothest-animated characters... well, in the entire SNES history, actually!! Maybe that's just me, though.
In this case, yes, I did show all the outtakes I had. However, I usually don't, there would be far too many X) On average, a stage can take anywhere from ten or twelve attempts on an easier stage, to well over one hundred attempts on harder ones like Quick Man.
Alas, I never finished it X) It was long, long ago, I made it using the Hamster Republic RPG engine. I don't know if that even works on Vista, per se, and I don't know that I even have the files anymore anyway. It was basically an excuse to make a game with a bunch of my favorite game characters as allies X)
I'll probably just want to show Navi battles, I tend to enjoy those, and thought they might be interesting to show. I'd be willing to listen to suggestions on what to do with it though, I just feel the EXE series deserves attention, it was well made I thought.
I'm going in a set pattern around the select screen, that's what I always do in my runs. Thus, Tengu Man is up next. Burner Man is going to be the finale for this game.
so many times ive fought him with the tengublade even i cant lock him into a pattern or even dodge the homing birds you and pink make it look too easy even with your outtakes and im going wow i really need to practice at this.
It's kind of funny that while I was watching "Kamen Rider W: A to Z" one of the characters transforms into a Rider with a black-purple color-scheme like Megaman with the Magic Card equipped. Oddly enough, he's called "Kamen Rider Joker" and the pun is that 'joker' is called 'kirifuda' which also means 'trump card'. A little info lol
alsi did noticed that you shoot at the rythm of the song in the train segment, you do that sometimes too huh? ah well...battle chip challenge? that was the one with ring and turboman.exe...dosen't it? i tried to play it once (as ring...) but i din't get wath was i soppused to do...
I used to play Magic: The Gathering some time ago. I also played Pokemon Trading Card Game, along with Yugioh, which I'll be getting back to it since there's now a place that host tournaments for the game again.
@arthurarneiro Yes you can. You can even aim down at him if you need to but you need to be careful with you double jumps or you might not have enough time to dodge when you land.
I think that might be a Japanese touch of sorts, as I've seen things like that in other references to magicians. In the Pokemon anime, there have been times where both Jessie and James of Team Rocket have been dressed as stage magicians, and they both wore eyemasks like that. Such can also be seen on Will, a Psychic type trainer in the Elite Four in Pokemon Gold / Silver / Crystal.
I'm guessing this is a Magic : The Gathering reference? I've never actually played that game ^_^; I had some friends back in high school who did, but I never had any of the cards myself. Big surprise I was more into the Pokemon card game at the time X)
Magicman is definitely on of my favorites as well shame they never brought him back in the battle network series i would have LOVED a magic soul. I mean Match and Higsby reformed right heck i would have liked if they even gave him a new operator his in the anime slightly disturbed me maybe it was the yoga.
I will watch the whole video before commenting. I will watch the whole video before commenting. I will watch the whole video before commenting. I will watch the whole video before commenting. I will watch the whole video before commenting.
Not really, no X) At most when I was a little kid, I bought these packaged magic tricks, I don't even remember what they were called. But basically, they did everything for you, so I'd hardly say that counts X)
you really planing on doing .exe series? tell me, does it will apply rules as the classic series?, planing on do let's play about it...or only beating the navis?
oh....so....many....puns in....difficult analisis.... tricks....oh well, magicman and clownman are my favorites in both MM&B and 8 (being the others search, cold, astro and tengu) and oh so catchy music... now for some pain with a wide screen fight...Tenguman's Fight...
Meh, I usually went with a 'what works' deck battle chip challenge. I didn't get very far before i stopped playing it though... i think that game relies a little too much on luck. But I'll go back to it eventually.
When you perfect run the King Fortress stages, are you planning to make the stages into separate perfect runs, similar to how you split the Wily Star into separate sections in Megaman V? The first stage, not really too bad, but the second stage has 3 whole segments of the tank, plane, and King boss, could be separated into 3 different Perfect runs, or the third stage with like 10 bosses, 8 robot masters and 2 Wily fights, separating the 8 boss fights by when you defeat a boss, and the parts of the stage that lead up to it counting as the stage, all counting as 9 separate perfect runs: 8 robot masters with their own separate ratings for their boss fight and level, and the last one for Dr. Wily. You can have a total of 9 different ratings, then at the end total it all up with an average for the ENTIRE stage, though in all honesty, it's a guaranteed 10 if it's an onslaught with Burner Man and Tengu Man. Doing all this could save you a lot of stress and make things easier, otherwise I'm sure perfect running THAT would take nearly forever. Does all this sound like a good idea when you do plan to perfect run the King stages?
I feel like a jackass for it, but I actually laughed aloud at 6:02. I'm sure if I were playing the stage, I'd do the same thing and it wouldn't seem near as funny. ^^;;
so many times ive fought him with the tengublade even i cant lock him into a pattern or even dodge the homing birds you and pink make it look too easy even with your outtakes and im going wow i really need to practice at this.
1:15 Mega Man & Bass: Rhythm Robots!
That should be a DDR/Mega Man game. I'd buy it.
You just have to shoot Magic Man once during the pattern because he will just keep gliding across the room if you hit him and he’s still in invincibility frames. The robot masters in this game have 2 second invincibility frames as well..
the irresistible curse of Mega Man games...shooting to the stage themes.
red rompers shake 10 bolts per second, and green ones just shake one per second.
6:00 All we had to do, was follow the damn train Roahm!
I LOVE HOW YOU'RE SHOOTING ALONG WITH THE MUSIC IN THE BEGINNING! GAAH, BEAUTIFUL!
If there is anything I must say about Magic Man's stage, there is only one word....
Monopellerns
Watching this video makes me feel inadequate. Great job!
Well, what I meant was that the "trick" of most magic acts is actually fairly simple, but performing it is STILL very hard because you need to know exactly what to say, where to stand, where to point, where to look even and you also need to improvise if something doesn't go the right way or if the audience acts unexpectedly. Sorry for rambling, but it really is a subject I'm very interested in.
Indeed, his animations are very smooth, I love that animation where his cape turns into his cane.
Thanks so much. I've never realized that you could lock him into a pattern. That helps a lot.
Your skills are indeed magical, Mr. Dragon. lol Thank you for another entertaining video.
Right, it's basically a strategy game, trying to delete your opponent's chips while protecting your own so you can leave the enemy defenseless and go on the attack. I might try making some videos about it later.
I have a feeling from how he looks he should have been Magic Woman
Indeed yes, I love Magic Man's design, and Snake Man was easy too but I still quite like him as well.
It's kind of weird how he went from being a 'show man' magician to a wizard when he was brought to battle network... but he's still an over all cool robot master. Nice job!
Magicman really has you doing your excersie with all that boucing
@arthurarneiro Just tap the button so you make sure you don't shoot to many times then jump his attacks. If you want a more detailed way with an example on how to do it, check out PinkKittyRose's perfect run of Magic Man's stage, since she did this as well with Bass.
It is quite a catchy song, and I got bored waiting on the trains X)
Aye, this place is fun for showing off maneauverability X) I know Kit enjoyed it too, he basically tried to speed run the stage while he was doing a Bass run of the game X)
This is the SNES version. I used the GBA version for getting the database CDs.
That's a good disappearing act he does at the end, too! :) I think part of his appeal is that Magic Man is one of the smoothest-animated characters... well, in the entire SNES history, actually!! Maybe that's just me, though.

Yes, definitely.
No, I have no plans to do such. PinkKittyRose teamed up with me on this, she did Bass Perfect Runs to compliment my Mega Man Perfect Runs.
Indeed true, I love Magic Man, as well as MagicMan.EXE. When I played Battle Chip Challenge, I usually ran a MagicMan deck.
Alas, I never finished it X) It was long, long ago, I made it using the Hamster Republic RPG engine. I don't know if that even works on Vista, per se, and I don't know that I even have the files anymore anyway. I'm going in a set pattern around the select screen, that's what I always do in my runs. Thus, Tengu Man is up next. Burner Man is going to be the finale for this game.
Aye, I first found out about it quite a long time ago, Kit was trying to make games on it and I'd help him with sprites and such.
Did anyone else notice that Mega Man, Bass and the Robot Masters, in this game at least, explode in a six point star pattern?
6:30 "Wha!? HOMING Pippis!?" Your worst enemy.
Indeed, meafreak419 is right, I also said this a little earlier in the comments in response to thisgonabeegreat requesting Burner Man next.
I have, actually, when I was much younger.
Wow, so that's how you do this one with minimal trouble.
This one I'm definitely favouriting. :)
No worries, after the fact that one quite amused me ;)
so many times ive fought him with the tengublade even i cant lock him into a pattern or even dodge the homing birds you and pink make it look too easy even with your outtakes and im going wow i really need to practice at this.
How could you not have chosen magic man by heart for your outtakes song?
It is literally called magic man
+Rundy Ftw Seemed a little bit too obvious, haha. It is a good song though.
+RoahmMythril ha ha ok
Abracadabra actually fits Magic Man a bit better though, particularly the line "I'm gonna reach out and grab ya." given the Magic Card's ability.
Okay, for real.
Why couldn't all of Mega Man & Bass' stages have been like this? This guy's stage is absolutely fun!
@Kain5th Should add that this guy and his stage is about a 4 for me now, it used to be a ten.
@ShadowdaHedgie11 It's hard to shoot once with Bass. You have to have a ninja finger to do it.
@Byakuga100 Well after watching the outtakes I'm not sure, since he got grabbed by one and that was apparantly the end of his run.
@ShadowdaHedgie11 His magic orbs are the problem to me. Since Bass can rapid-fire, most of the time I end up shooting the orbs and spawning Rompers.
Ah, no, I never came anywhere close to completing it.
alsi did noticed that you shoot at the rythm of the song in the train segment, you do that sometimes too huh?
ah well...battle chip challenge? that was the one with ring and turboman.exe...dosen't it? i tried to play it once (as ring...) but i din't get wath was i soppused to do...

@arthurarneiro Yes you can. You can even aim down at him if you need to but you need to be careful with you double jumps or you might not have enough time to dodge when you land.
You make it look so easy.
I think that might be a Japanese touch of sorts, as I've seen things like that in other references to magicians. He's like Penn & Teller in one!
I was expecting "Magic" by The Cars.
Any plans to do these with Bass, just out of curiosity?
Am I the only one who's noticed all the parallels between the train segment in this stage and the truck segments in Nitro Man's stage?
I'm guessing this is a Magic : The Gathering reference? I've never actually played that game ^_^; I had some friends back in high school who did, but I never had any of the cards myself. Big surprise I was more into the Pokemon card game at the time X)
Well, what exactly is giving you problems? Feel free to private message me, I'll try my best to help.
Aye, this one might take awhile.
@ShadowdaHedgie11 Oh, OK. I'll be sure to check that out later.
Magicman is definitely on of my favorites as well shame they never brought him back in the battle network series i would have LOVED a magic soul. I mean Match and Higsby reformed right heck i would have liked if they even gave him a new operator his in the anime slightly disturbed me maybe it was the yoga.
Can you lock him in that pattern with Bass? He's giving me a lot of trouble.
witch megaman game has your favorite selections of weapons mine is mega man and bass!
@MasterofLaziness I tend to do it alot and I feel like a moron when the question is answered later in the video. ^^;
Instead of the Magic Card....Magic Man should have given you the power to summon Pipies to do your bidding! :)
Know any magic tricks yourself?
I will watch the whole video before commenting.
I will watch the whole video before commenting.
I will watch the whole video before commenting.
I will watch the whole video before commenting.
I will watch the whole video before commenting.
That is a paradox
How do these videos get more views than no miss runs
Aye, Bass is only purple and black when merged with Treble.
Not really, no X) At most when I was a little kid, I bought these packaged magic tricks, I don't even remember what they were called. But basically, they did everything for you, so I'd hardly say that counts X)
Glad you enjoyed it, this was a fun stage X)
I don't see him as particularly womanly or anything, he just looks like a flashy, gaudy stage magician, which is exactly what he is X)
i just got megaman and bass,i can barely beat cold man,any hints?
@arthurarneiro It is, in principle, very similar to the Mega Man strategy though.
you really planing on doing .exe series? tell me, does it will apply rules as the classic series?, planing on do let's play about it...or only beating the navis?
oh....so....many....puns in....difficult analisis....
tricks....oh well, magicman and clownman are my favorites in both MM&B and 8 (being the others search, cold, astro and tengu) and oh so catchy music...
now for some pain with a wide screen fight...Tenguman's Fight...
Does this theme remind anyone else of A Whole New World at certain places? (like maybe 1:55? 2:10?)
@ShadowdaHedgie11 Don't worry, you're not the only one thaat's done that.
how come getting hit with rompers even counts as an outake.its technically a loophole to your rules
Meh, I usually went with a 'what works' deck battle chip challenge. I didn't get very far before i stopped playing it though... i think that game relies a little too much on luck. But I'll go back to it eventually.
Question. If a Romper grabbed you, would that put an end to your no damage run by itself? They don't do any damage, but it's still a hit...
now its time to take the train.... or not
3:35
....The image/wallpaper...is Magicman a girl..?
@arthurarneiro Just shoot at him once each time then. While he's flashing you can't do any damage to him anyway.
I think green ones shake more bolts off you.
When you perfect run the King Fortress stages, are you planning to make the stages into separate perfect runs, similar to how you split the Wily Star into separate sections in Megaman V?

+Richard Dong I guess we'll see when I get there.
*if we get there
Hard /10
Good choice of song, another good choice might've been America's You can Do Magic that's a good song too. *sigh* I miss the 80's
I'm just looking at his weird... weird fancylady glasses that he has on his face... everything else is just normal... sorta
I feel like a jackass for it, but I actually laughed aloud at 6:02. I'm sure if I were playing the stage, I'd do the same thing and it wouldn't seem near as funny. ^^;;
I can answer that, 9 then 3.
It's too horrible to remember, I've blocked it from my memory, don't make me remember!
i'll send you a suggestion by PM...youtube comment limit
Actually is easier to beat him without the charged buster
Magic Man really isn't that hard once you get used to the pattern.
"It truly is like a magic act; it's not hard to do once you know the trick."
...
I'm sorry, what? Obviously you've never tried magic tricks.
Man I hated this stage so much. That beginning train part killed me more times than i can remember.
Magic Man - he annoys me. -___-
so many times ive fought him with the tengublade even i cant lock him into a pattern or even dodge the homing birds you and pink make it look too easy even with your outtakes and im going wow i really need to practice at this.
