I did attempt a few runs of Cold Man right after finishing the Robot Museum, I just didn't quite feel like messing with editing yet, so I went ahead and took a few stabs at Cold Man. The stage, by MM&B standards anyway, is pretty easy though.
You want to know something interesting? If you subtract Tengu Man and Astro Man, you can draw some pretty interesting parallels between King's army and the original six robot masters. Cold Man -> Ice Man Burner Man -> Fire Man Pirate Man -> Bomb Man Ground Man -> Guts Man Magic Man -> Cut Man Dynamo Man -> Elec Man Heck, they even share the same weakness cycle, with Magic Man (who has Tengu Man and Astro Man on either side) being the break in the chain.
Eh, Pirate Man does use explosives just like Bomb Man though. Magic Man's the only one that's reaching, since his weapon doesn't really... cut... anything.

I learned the hard way Cold man jumps to were you are when he cornered me in an extremely small space, and if he starts spawning cold mist from the place it gets nasty!
My thoughts are kinda similar, but ColdMan's stage - by design - is meant to be FAR easier than the others. Basically, it's a way of giving the otherwise-ESSENTIAL Cold Wall to more casual players; since it's basically one of the core elements of this game. I'm not too surprised you finished it so quickly... but it's still a great surprise that you got the editing/uploading part done so quickly!
Better internet connection. $1000 wouldn't really be enough to help me with the problems I have, wouldn't get me a car or anything, but a better internet connection would let me update during the day so I could actually sleep at night, and let me play games with friends, which would be great.

I'll probably have to wait until I get a Gamebridge or some other such device to do MM8. I know nothing about PS or Saturn emulators, and since I just use the keyboard, I don't know how well controls would emulate for them. Beyond that, I'd imagine the roms would be huge, and thus, finding time to safely download them would be tricky with my connection.
it's funny: with the bass buster upgrade that boosts power, you can literally just stand there as he summons clouds and destroy him. it even breaks through his ice walls!
Well, my problem with file sizes is the ridiculous bandwidth limits of HughesNet ;) I'm only allowed to download around 250 MB per day (and actually, that's the limit for my ENTIRE family), and the only exception is if I download stuff between 2 - 5 AM. HughesNet is ridiculous that way ;P
I find it easier to deal with him as I did. I actually want to put as much distance between him and me as possible so I have more reaction time for the Ice Wall.
Indeed. He has to go the entire stage without getting hit, using a robot master weapon, or using a charge shot. When you think about it, it's actually quite difficult for some stages, I.E Ring Man, Slash Man and the like, simply because they do EVERYTHING in their power to make you get hit at least once. There was a fan art demotivational poster that Roahm got that basically said everything might as well be a force beam to the face. It sums things up quite nicely.
Did they change the stage music significantly from the Japanese version to the US version? It sounded close, but not quite as I remembered it. I don't remember Cold Man doing that freezing aura attack in the US version, though I might be forgetting it.
I notice you didn't charge the Mega Buster this whole video. Is that also part of your perfect run of this game, or did you just forget it can be done? It just seems to me it makes things much more difficult, especially during the boss fight. Just wondering LOL
Excuse the pun but I´m surprised how "cool" you stayed during the fight. The first I was fighting him I got so angry about these little ice clouds (before I knew I could destroy them).
Wow...I dont think I've ever had him use that freezing attack on me... *checks GBA for difficulty setting* None...that's really weird. I dunno how I did it...but somehow I've stopped him everytime from using it.
Actually Roahm, Coldman can jump in his other half, I was about to finish him off no damage and I was busy taking care of the coldmist and when I destroyed I noticed that coldman was on my face. I think I just glitched his AI because he never did it before neither later. ¬.¬
I think most of the PSX/Saturn emus actually are compatible with your CD/DVD drive. So if you have the game for either system, or simply d/l and burn the image for it (should be under 500 mb or so) to disc, that should work. Also, while PSX/Saturn controls are more numerous/complex, the basic layout of buttons and commands are the same for MM8 as they are for MM7. I could understand the concern if you were doing a Perfect Run of Marvel vs. Capcom! *lol* But somehow, I don't see THAT happening.

Right, the fight wasn't so bad, I mean the game itself, Battle Network 4, the fact that you basically had to play through the entire game at least three times to get everything was rather annoying X)
yeah...that happens... but now its more weirder with a similar fight: vs Skullman you see...i was crushing him using the dust crusher, by some accident...he killed me, but for some weird reason i lasted long enough to shoot a dust crusher to his face...killing him... yeah, i can kill the lord of death...even when im dead!
i tough about that...oh well now for something off disscussion, did you somewath get this funny thing to happen? i was in drillman stage, beatin the batontoms with the pharaoh ballon (you know, not launched) and then i just did something stupid, landed wrong and get on spikes....for my surprise the ballon was still there and the batontom just flew to it, die, and dropping a energy pallet...that healed me AFTHER i die...curius...

Not all. Mainly, (at least from being a D&D and Pathfinder player), it's the red dragons that are weak against cold/ice. It's a typical weakness for anything of fire-element.
@@NightSprinter I think he was going by Pokemon logic for that one, since in that franchise, both creatures of the dragon and flying types are weak to ice. Also, I believe that there exist dragons that are able to manipulate ice as an element as well
Hmm..... I must admit, I really have very little interest in the X series. I don't even have all the X games. Classic, EXE, and Starforce, those are the main sub-series I like. X was okay, but never as fun to me. Zero was alright, but felt like a totally different series to me. I've never played ZX.

Yeah the Miniboss in this Level is really annoying, especially thanks to those Mini Version he shoots out.
