Casting vs Spinning Gear For Jig Fishing - Which is Better?

Should you use spinning or casting gear for jig fishing? On this awesome Summer Flounder (Fluke) fishing trip I spent half the trip with casting gear and half with the new spinning version of my Jig and Bounce casting rod. The results were surprising to me!
