That happened to me when I was wearing a high bun or puff daily- the sides of my hair broke off from being pulled into the same type of ponytail/bun daily. Best remedy is to change hair styles and give the sides of your hair a rest ❤️

NATsoHIGH ! - In her homemade African black soap shampoo, she adds olive oil to it. I make it with avocado oil. The oil will help prevent your hair from being stripped. You can also adjust the amount of black soap you use in your mix.
Her multi pupose conditioner is suppose to be a deep conditioner as well. I would still like another though as well as a black soap/rhassoul clay like shampoo. I also want a gel and sealing butter.

I'm always afraid to go to sleep after my wash/style day. I just did my hair today and I didn't even want to put my satin cap on...i want to go to sleep " pretty" tonight just to make sure I don't have squished day 2 two strand twist😭. The only time it really doesn't get squished is when I use an extreme hold gel which I'm getting away from.
@@monicasingh3540 I meant a strong gel in general not that brand(but that gel works wonders too). I just dont want to use gels because it dries my hair out. I dont use it often but still. Even with oil I just prefer to use a thick oil like castor oil instead now. If I use it, it will just be for like a special occasion and I want like a sleek look😁

I have some kind of illness that makes me very weak and very tired, so I have to admit, shamefully, it's been hard for me to upkeep my hair in the last few years. I have long hair, but lately it's been tangled, and I do take too long to get the energy to wash it from time to time. I've been thinking the last six months that maybe I should cut it and make my life a little easier, but I wasn't ready. You cutting your hair makes me get a little bit easier to that decision. In 2010 I was sick of damaged hair from curly perms and prayed that if God taught me how to manage my hair and love it then I would never perm it again. He sent me to your videos. I binged watched them all in two weeks and learnt so so much. 10 years later and my hair is amazing, healthy, thick, coily, shiny and beautiful......but more than that, I now LOVE LOVE LOVE it. After making your diy flaxseed gel yesterday, I finally have a wash and go that I am very pleased with and can wear.. last night I banded my hair which I don't think I will do again because it took away my curls, I might just make me some satin scrunchies and pineapple at night.. thank you

it depends on products u use, how smooth ur hair shaft is(smooth hair = shinier), also hair texture can play a part, also dark hair looks shinier

Hair can have high shine or high sheen. A lot of Afro textured hair has high sheen and can only get a shine with product
I've seen that henna treatments helps to make hair shiny and it smooths the hair cuticle with continued use

a.d.w. n. - I add a penetrating oil like olive, avocado, or coconut oil to the Melanin Hair Care conditioner with a heat cap for deep conditioning.

@@monicasingh3540 I meant a strong gel in general not that brand(but that gel works wonders too). I just dont want to use gels because it dries my hair out. I dont use it often but still. Even with oil I just prefer to use a thick oil like castor oil instead now. If I use it, it will just be for like a special occasion and I want like a sleek look😁

I have some kind of illness that makes me very weak and very tired, so I have to admit, shamefully, it's been hard for me to upkeep my hair in the last few years. I have long hair, but lately it's been tangled, and I do take too long to get the energy to wash it from time to time. I've been thinking the last six months that maybe I should cut it and make my life a little easier, but I wasn't ready. You cutting your hair makes me get a little bit easier to that decision. Ha ha, thank you.
P.S.i'm also really excited you have short hair again, because I joined you in 2012, and to me when you had shorter hair those were your best videos ever. So I can't wait to see your creative juices flowing again now that your hair is short!

In 2010 I was sick of damaged hair from curly perms and prayed that if God taught me how to manage my hair and love it then I would never perm it again.
He sent me to your videos. I binged watched them all in two weeks and learnt so so much. 10 years later and my hair is amazing, healthy, thick, coily, shiny and beautiful......but more than that, I now LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

My hair is about this length and I tried the pineapple style after a wash n go and a small patch by my ear stretched but the rest of my hair shrunk and lost its shape. I looked ridiculous 😫. After making your diy flaxseed gel yesterday, I finally have a wash and go that I am very pleased with and can wear.. last night I banded my hair which I don't think I will do again because it took away my curls, I might just make me some satin scrunchies and pineapple at night.. thank you
