This is such a cool tool. Definitely on my list of things to get. I just wish you could switch the tips, instead of having to buy a separate tool for each keyway. Still would be great to have. Thanks for sharing this! :)
I've had the SC-1 and the KW-1 for quite a while. I had not had any luck picking Schlage locks with the Lishi. I can single pick and rake most Schlage locks but not with the Lishi. I can pick Kwikset easily, with the lishi tool. I don't know if my SC-1 lishi is defective or not, but I'm starting to think so.
Observe that he used a vice to hold the cylinder so he has both hands free to work the lock. Also observe that there are no security or 'spool' pins in the cutaway lock cylinder. Practice locks are designed to be easy to pick for demonstrations such as videos. It usually isn't this easy in the real world. My locksmith uses a bump key.
To decode the lock the next step will be to use the decoder with the lock in the opened position. I did not cover it in this video but if you look through my Lishi playlist you can see it covered on one of the KW1 locks.
I just don't see the utility in an AM5 Lishi in the field. The Lishi took makes it a bit harder to pick the security pins is what I have heard. If I could only own one version, it would not be that one is all that I am saying.
Great video bro, quick question I’m having really hard time picking ILCO sc1 rim cylinders, I managed to pick dozens of Chinese cylinders with the lishi tool, but the ILCO is super hard. My business partner who has over 40 years of experience in the locksmith industry said that ever since he remembered ILCO was one hard cylinder to pick. What’s your take on in it?
Nice video and explanation about this tool 😊 I keep seeing videos posted with Lishis, but then supposedly you must be a licensed locksmith to purchase one. So I guess there must just be a lot more locksmiths who post #locksport videos than I ever knew of before 😉
Cool! I have a few questions -- does it work for all types of Schlage locks? Is it specifically for Schlage or also applicable to locks by other companies? Is there any newer version of this tool?
is it possible to practice lockpicking on my home door without destroying the lock? cause i loose my keys a lot. where can i buy this tool? what is a code cut key?
I woukd not practice on a door in use. This is a tool available to locksmiths. You can try CLK sipply but they may cancel your order. A code cut key is an originated key which is not made as a duplicate
So I got my SC4 and I like it but I must be missing a technique or doing something wrong. For those of you with experience what did you find to be a common mistake when using the Lishi. Looking to learn.
I am not sure. These tools are very straight forward. I just try if I can to use the 5 pin tool on 5 pin locks and the 6 pin tool on 6 pin locks because you have the potential to run into alignment issues
@@HelpfulLockPicker with practice I can now pick a standard lock in about 10 seconds. I’m now working on the deadbolt. Same key but the deadbolt seems to be presenting some challenges. Any tips fir a dead bolt vs standard lock?
I know the Lishi tool is only meant for the Schlage keyway but are there other keyways very similar to the Schlage that this tool will fit? Same with the other Lishi tools? Just curious if between all the locks out there some are so similar these tools with work across the board on some locks? Happy Christmas to you and all lock pickers out there.
The tool is good but the video is one of the best productions I have seen, top quality!
thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed it :-)

thanks for checking it out!
Nice demo with the cutaway lock!
Merry Christmas and a happy new year!
Thank you for checking it out! I hope you have a nice New Years as well :)
Great video! Would definitely love to have some of the Lishi tools. Thanks for the demo.
Thanks for checking it out. They are a bit expensive but they work really well.

I know a few people that have the SC1 and they love it. I am not sure where your hangup is but I find it to be quite helpful
A cool device. I've seen them, but never demonstrated, thanks, and Marry Christmas to all!
Thanks for checking it out!
Very nice video demonstration!!!
Great tool!
Like the split screen to show exactly what is happening!!!
🐈👏👍🐈🐾
I am glad you liked that additional feature. I always like trying out different things :-)
HelpfulLockPicker 👍👍👍😀
Wow... that tool is cool as hell
Thanks for checking it out!
nice, you got the sc1 lishi, thats going to open lots of doors for you :)
happy Christmas everyone
Thanks for checking it out and I hope you have a great holiday as well!
Kool.😎 Tool!
Keep up the good work on keeping us informed...👍

Thanks for the visit

Great job! Do I understand correctly that you now could review your video and note down the code that enables you to have a key made for this lock?
To decode the lock the next step will be to use the decoder with the lock in the opened position. I did not cover it in this video but if you look through my Lishi playlist you can see it covered on one of the KW1 locks.
@@HelpfulLockPicker Ah, thanks! I'll definitely watch that
hi does this work for any of the schlage keyways? I have both E and C keyways
This does not work on all Schlage just the profile listed on the tool
Awsome job my Friend
Thanks for checking it out!
Very nicely done bro, don't know why the AM5 LISHI is so hard for me. They say it's one of the harder Lishi's to use. I don't know
I have heard the AM5 one is not worth it.
@@HelpfulLockPicker not worth what? Opening them, buying it. Because they are cheaper than the rest

There are a lot out there lol
Is it really as easy as it looks? I’ve seen bump key and snap gun vids that make it look like a piece of cake when it’s not.
Lishi tools are the real deal
@@HelpfulLockPicker thanks...can’t wait to get mine
@@HelpfulLockPicker quick question...if you use the SC4 and it’s only a 5 pin than how do you decode it?

It works for the type of lock you bought the tool for
I really want a few of those tools. But dang!!!! The price!!!!
I am hoping a cheaper generic product will come out but they do work quite well.

How did Oblivion lockpicking actually get close to real lockpicking. That tool is hella sweet.

What if there is a 6th pin in the cylinder?
If Schlage SC4 (6 pin), it is a different model than the SC1 in video.
Where can I get this?
www.originallishi.com/vendors/
I can only afford one, which one should I get?
Flip a coin and get either the Schlage or Kwikwset one
that intro is starting to grow on me
Intros are the most important part

I know I had some luck with my KW1 Lishi getting into I believe a Lockwood. The thing I hope is made someday is a Y1 lishi tool.
@@HelpfulLockPicker I guess if there's an obvious need for it then I don't see why they won't make one.

That would be very cool!!!

Muy bien Gracias
Thanks for checking it out!
Seems like you're picking the lock closed. Clockwise tension locks the lock
That is really is a neat tool, to bad it costs so much...
Thanks for checking it out! Hopefully one day a cheap generic version will come out
IF they where not prohibitively expensive they would be nice to have .
I bet a cheaper generic version will be out soon enough :)
