The Schlage B560P is certainly a decent lock. Remember that LPL is a very talented picker, and that pick resistance isn't everything for a lock. You must also consider durability, reliability, and forced entry resistance. For that, the Schlage B560P is far superior than any Kwikset product and certainly is more than a 'decent' lock. If pick resistance and decoding is a major concern, you can always swap the cylinder for something higher security; this is why these deadbolts use KIK cylinders.

No, this is an invalid cliche. Honest people do not need deterrence. Instead, locks slow down or deter dishonest people, and, as with most things, they do so with a wide variety of effectiveness.

I just bought and received a Lishi KW1.
I got all excited pinning up my first practice lock (ABUS 83/40) with tough bitting, security pins, etc. And then I snapped it shut, and suddenly realized that I hadn't pinned it to a key.
And it's been in my vise for months. Lotta false sets, but little to no progress. So time to get a cheatyface tool, get it open, and pin it to a key so I can stop being a smoothbrain.

Ironically, these little picky things have done a million times better job explaining how a lockpick works, by showing the intuitiveness of it, than any "Teacher" or "Course" that teaches this full-time. Can't sell a course at a high price, if you don't artificially buff up the difficulty and pad out the time required, huh.

I think that you could 3D scan the inside of a keyway to produce a 3D model of a key then make the key in metal or 3D print it in another rigid material. Scanning the inside can be done with a camera and the resulting pictures could be assembled using photogrammetry software (basic 3D scanning technique)
