  • BEGINNERS & INTERMEDIATES: DO NOT ATTEMPT ANYTHING THAT'S SHOWN IN THIS VIDEO! ASK YOUR INSTRUCTOR IF YOU CAN PROCEED IN DOING ADVANCED TECHNIQUES/SOLO TRAINING BEFORE DOING ANY KIND OF ATTEMPT WHATSOEVER!
WARNING (to the advanced): DO WARM-UPS & STRETCHING EXERCISES BEFORE ATTEMPTING WHAT WAS SHOWN TO LESSEN INJURY. ANY INJURY TAKEN BY DOING WHAT'S ON THE VIDEO SHOWN WILL NOT BE ACCOUNTED BY THE OWNER OF THIS VIDEO. CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN BEFORE DOING ANY KIND OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY THAT'S NEW TO YOU!
This is going to be a response video to Mr. Ksipa, a very exceptional Ba Gua practitioner =3. How to do "holding-&-serving-the-tea-cup" (basics, variations, applications. Of course, in order =3):
    • Steve Cotter Tea Cup S...
    • IKFF Mobility Exercise...
    • IKFF Mobility Exercise...
    • IKFF Mobility Exercise...
    • Bagua Teacups
    • Back Body palm Teacup ...
Although for the advanced, if the practitioner isn't familiar w/ the basics of the Tea Cup drill, together w/ its applications, trying this would really be very hard, resulting to injury, especially on the shoulders. The applications from this are, again, endless, depending on how a person views martial arts &/or self-defense =3. This is a great exercise for the arms. Often found in soft disciplines, if seriously studied & practiced, it also warms up the spine & help solidify the horse stance (w/c I currently practice).
Personally, believe it or not, I discovered this exercise by accident =/. I was playing w/ the tea cup drill until I decided to just throw in some empty-hand kali/arnis/escrima, boxing, & ba gua hands to see if they can mend. As you saw, it turned out awesome =3. You can obviously see that I made some mistakes when taking this XD. I hope that this video has helped you in a huge way =3.
If you're still confused on how to do this, feel free to send me a PM, & I'll be more than happy to explain it further through the best of my abilities.
God bless you all, always train safe, & take care =3 =D!
    NOTE:
I will only reply to those who're advanced in their martial training. To know the basics of this, simply click the link/s on top. That way, you'll understand the basics of it better =3.

@DTGKunoichi Thank you for watching =D! I know that it'll be confusing to some even after watching this, since it's clearer to show it in person. To get the basics of the tea cup drill, just click the links provided in the description box. It makes understanding this vid much easier XD.

@DTGtaihojutsu Thank you Rick =D! So glad that you liked it, & that the explanation on how to do it wasn't confusing =3. If only the time limit was longer, I would've included more techniques, but I'm grateful having the 15 min. extension XD.

@LosBats Thank you for watching =D! Some, if not most, of karate's moves are surprisingly similar to Chinese martial arts, given their geographic location to each other =3.

I practice Northern Mantis and one of the forms I was taught we use a similar movement that transitions into the Mantis claw pose. We use it to block and swipe across the face

sticky palm and intercepting fist. its like you drifted into wu shu style there in freestyle. The people that taught me that side stepping they called a V step? like where you step like a V and you are no longer where the strike is / was.

that butterfly tech looks a lot like a tuite-jitsu joint lock technique but in kata form
