Hi =D! A Christian martial artist sharing his martial knowledge to the world =3 =D! This is a channel where you'll find breakdowns of certain types of martial art techniques & explained in layman's terms, as well as certain types of training methods that would hopefully be helpful in your training. Most likely geared toward beginners. The videos are just supplementary lessons & should not be taken as the end-all, be-all. Nothing compares to formally having a hands-on training under a legitimate martial instructor. Hope this channel helps you even in the smallest way possible =D!

I tried a few different things before settling with this team comp. I haven't tried it with A.Chufuyu, but then again, I don't know if you can fit her in. You need A.Jake to stun her because Kallen is considered a mech, and then you need some healing debuffs to bring her shield down, and some hard hitting snipers to take chunks of her HP, while keeping A.Jake alive long enough to get all the ag...
Kali/Arnis: Mirrored 12 Basic Angles, Flow Introduction
Переглядів 23Рік тому
In all honesty, this one isn't taught much. Either it was only for private lessons, or nobody thought about it, or it was really rare to find someone teach this. Still, this is a legitimate way to practice the 12 basic angles, as even though the numbering is the same, the applications are entirely different. It needs getting used to as it forces you to step outside your comfort zone, especially...
Counterside: PvP Ranked Valentine's Week

Ever since the Origin update by Studio Bside, let's just that it became............ frustrating. And I'm being considerate in saying that. Grinded for 2 hours, only for me to drop to Gold. With a little help from the Steam forums, I made an okay-ish team, and clawed my way back to reach Platinum 5. Or did I? As one man said, "NEVA GEE BAP PUH!!!"

This week's recording, Ministra and Gaeun are unbanned. *I know* . Thing is, Lily is the MVP. She's too good, but not broken. Definitely a must-have if you're into PvP Ranked.
Shadowboxing: Beginner Version II
Переглядів 102Рік тому
This is the continuation from the previous video here: ua-cam.com/video/H4MHRF1xsl4/v-deo.html I address one of the common mistakes that beginners make, and that is automatically flinching/closing their eyes during sparring. Doing this kind of training in shadowboxing trains you to control your natural flinch response.
Shadowboxing: Beginner Approach

*Unofficial name, but it does fit the training approach. Instead of just using slaps as a tool for offense, you primarily use it like you would use a pad. Detailed explanation on the video.

FMA: Advanced Approach to Basics

I describe on how you can train the basic angles with an advanced approach. The key is to deliver power blows and making them as subtle and as fluid as the normal blows.
FMA: Circle Walk
Переглядів 65Рік тому
I borrowed the concept of Baguazhang and implemented it in FMA. To many purists, this is sacrilegious and blasphemous, LOL! But I thought that, Baguazhang's footwork fits well with the continuous hand motions of FMA, hence the mixture.

It is free. I prefer playing it on Steam, though. You can also link your mobile/portable device account to your Steam account if you so choose, but you'll need to have a social media to have your account verified.

My awakened hilder cant even survive in stage 2-3, its because of my gear? she is max level with 103k hp but still die within 10 seconds
It's most likely the gear of either A. Hilde, or your healer. Give her your best tank gear, or upgrade your gear's GRND DMG RES.
any tips on CC stage Hard 2-3?
The approach is basically the same since she'll be a whole lot weaker on 2-3.
They need to nerf this POS stage!
There's a team out there that uses John Mason. That might help. It's not on auto, though
Tried that still not doing enough damage it must be a gear check. I took a break from the game for a few months and haven't been enhancing my gears so that could be it. I'm level 65 and have great units not any new rearmed units though.@@Loyal2law
@@gigakuma I haven't tried not using rearmed units. What I did was, I took my strongest team which was for Dive 50 and then tweaked it from there, until I reached the team comp I needed to 3-star Kallen. That was my basis.
I don't remember how far I was able to dive but I know it wasn't to 50.@@Loyal2law
That last dive is 55 now, but I stopped at 54 mainly because of time. It's faster to clear level 54 from your world map dives, than 55. Basically, whatever your strongest team comp is for the last dive you did, that's your basis I used.@@gigakuma
This didn’t work you piece of shit
Box sings. Boxing, martial arts, and wrestling share an identity to show the identity the sciences share, and how with earth's especial difference. All have missed. Fact treatment nature needs not even fists. Nature insists another course. And yet, the sciences, they speak of force. Box sings....
This is well presented. However, I would like to see you perform this as a flow and then break into a mock sparring fight simulation. I realize the dummy gives you very little energy variation but you could manufacture it with bumping or just using your imagination like you live. Just like hitting a few combinations, varied entries, cover guards, some boxing, or perhaps play with just knife sensitivity done similarly. This would show fluid footwork, ranging, head movement, hand sensitivity distinction, etc... You could do it in just a heavy bag format... This could be done easily by throwing it in at the end of the video to just see everything in real time and function. 👊💀
Thank you for the comment. I was more focused on showing beginners on how the Door Training application looks like if practiced with the dummy or the bag, which is why I referenced the Door Training video I made on the description above. I was also careful of not overloading them with info, so I stuck with the three entries I demonstrated/showed, since that's what I also introduced from the Door Training video. Main reason being is, I want the beginners to connect and imagine their doors as dummies, so as for them to not just see the door as something that closes and opens, but to actively imagine that it is a training tool. Hence, the decision to showcase the training with the dummy.
3:54 SPLIT ENTRY 🐉☮️🤛💥😉PAK or GUM SAO and CHOW KUEN ❤
2:15 Good rule of thumb is. 1. A BLADED HAND goes 45 degrees to the neck BUI GEE. Chop. The BUI FAK. 2. THE JA JEUNG and CHAANG JEUNG side and spade palm fit perfectly next. Any side. Either hand. Chop n slap. Great entry SIFU.
The slap is much better, heavier, faster, to intercept with than a punch is. That’s why he uses a slap first. ✅

Interesting. 🐉 I’ll leave a comment.
Hello, and thank you for the comments. Yeah, plural, lol! The entire thing I showed is based on FMA (Filipino Martial Arts). There's actually a subshoot of FMA called Panantukan or Panuntukan that expands and specializes all the Kali/Arnis/Eskrima techniques into empty hand. For demonstration, slaps were used, but in reality, they would be a mixture of elbows, fists, knees, and kicks, similar to what Muay Boran does. All I did was showing the basics, especially when doing the entries. Hence why these can be done using the door to practicwe footwork and hand placement. The closest that I could point you towards, is Silat, which is its cousin. I may not be familiar with the terminologies you used to describe the movements I did, but I garnered that it is similar to the martial you're practicing in. Glad you liked the video!
6 years, we waited SIX YEARS. We finally got it
It's 10 minutes, though. And I know this could be make smoother.
@@Loyal2law Well it's still a loop!
that's a good front round. muy thai kicks carry a lot of power. La Boxe Française-Savate has an excellent high fake to a leg kick roundhouse. I think they just called it a high low kick. you raise the knee like you're going for a snap head kick, then just sweep down to a more straight leg roundhouse to the legs. you should check it out. it served me very well in IKF kickboxing in the early 2000s
Thank you! I'll definitely check that kick you mentioned and include that in my training. Much appreciated!

High kicks on both sides!? Can u do side front split?
I was training to kick high with both legs. My approach was, if the opening was there, and I can actually thread a kick to it, why not. So I did.
@@Loyal2law been watching your content for years ur control is very impressive. I am interested to know how flexible u are I can kick high but it's crucked looking as I'm not flexible
@@trulgn Hmmm. If I can explain my flexibility in text, I'd say I can do an axe kick on both legs, no problem. But my axe kicks would be more of Karate, rather than TKD, which needs more flexibility. Think, Jin Kazama's Axe Kick from Tekken.
I have the same problem. It happen a few days ago for me as well. It was never like this when i first week or 2.
Caveat: I have memory problems & was instructed in the mid-90's. I know that I've strayed a bit as a result of my problem, but I see that I'm still fairly close to some demos that I've seen on UA-cam. My instructor was taught by Sun Lu Tang's daughter: not everyone teaches Sun Style the same way. Note: beyond exercises I only had instruction & practice in the 2 Mother Palms & the 8 Animal Forms (sans applications for the most part): I know that there's more to SSB than what little I've been exposed to (so please keep this in mind as I offer my observations). To me, this is a very strange version of Sun Style Baguazhang. I've seen versions with slight variations from how I recall being shown: there's often some little addition or subtraction from the version I'm familiar with; & occassionally a lot of additions (a review of SSB on UA-cam will show you that not all practice the same way). For Instance: The Phoenix Form of SSB that I learned had one's arms rounded at shoulder height, but with both palms inboard (not facing outward as in your practice: your way is similar to Yin Style Baguazhang's Rooster System); & then, while advancing along the circle while spinning the entire body around like a top, one's arms raise overhead with hands going to the top of the arm-circle position, then this arm-circle position dips down low so that the hands go near the ground as the body bends at the waist, only to rise back up to the shoulder-level position, like physically describing a large circle with the hands of your circled arms while walking along an arc plus spinning & bending your body (it's a very dynamic form & elderly practitioners I've seen demo this don't drop as low as the young folk, but the basic, complex motion is still there). Essentially it's based upon a Lion Playing With A Ball (Lion Holds Ball Lion Uplifts Ball, Lion Rolls Ball - or something very much like this). It seems that you did 2 variations each of Lion Form & Dragon Form postures; I was taught that the lead hand in Lion Opens Its Mouth is Palm Upward (skyward); & both palms in Dragon Spreads Its Wings are held Upward (skyward). I occassionally saw you with these palm positions changed to facing outward. I also noticed some occassional wiggling of your hands/arms/body that seemed odd to me; & you rarely did Bai-Bu & Ko-Bu (sp?) footwork that's prevalent in the way that I was shown (the extreme toe-in, toe-out footwork). Since you stated that you had a year invested in practice, I can only assume that you were either being taught a version of SSB that's very different from what I consider as the 'norm,' or you're practicing some 'advanced' form beyond the basics that I was shown (but I have my doubts about this latter possibility). Anyways, it's been 10 years since this video was posted, so you should be very good at your version by now. I went on to explore other arts, but kept practicing some SSB, especially the footwork, which I still practice almost daily & now have it down pat (it's been approximately 25 years now & practice does pay off). Note: While I found SSB circle walking to be fairly decent in open, flat, generally clear spaces - often found in cities - I found it of limited use in rough terrain & some tight spaces; so I suggest exploring a wide variety of footwork for use in various conditions.
sticky palm and intercepting fist. its like you drifted into wu shu style there in freestyle. The people that taught me that side stepping they called a V step? like where you step like a V and you are no longer where the strike is / was.
I practice Northern Mantis and one of the forms I was taught we use a similar movement that transitions into the Mantis claw pose. We use it to block and swipe across the face
100% right

Hi, I'm assuming the Sun style you are referring to here is Sun Xi Kun instead of Sun Lu Tang?
GREAT VIDEO. THANKS ☺☺☺☺
6:39. Thank you. You just taught me something that I have never heard before.
think it's time to invest in a new camera :) or get closer yer blurry
My phone's clearer than this =(
all teasing aside you can get closer there seems to be a lot of space yer wasting. Then we can see more detail in yer movement
naihanchin Kempo I'll try that, thanks. I was scared that I might hit the camera because of the stick.
interesting take on it ..i have seen close to 20 Versions of the Naihanchi Kata ..Do you do any joint locks from it? tuite jitsu?
I haven't used it for joint locks per se, since I'm not training extensively in Karate anymore. I totally forgot the bunkai of it actually, lol! Primarily because I'm training more on Bagua. Although.... I can see the locks and throws in it if I slow it down more.
Good job, I like that these are simple enough to do in the office. I hate leg days..
Thank you. They say that the exercises that you hated the most are the ones that will help you the most. So, leg days are probably the best days to build you.
Good vid
Thank you =)
Very sharp
Thanks Duane!
Great work man! Hugs 3HomeWorkout
You explained stress 'perfectly' you should do more of these 'explanation' type videos more often, in regards to the theories and reasoning behind a lot of the in's and out's of self defence. I enjoyed watching this immensely - and learning! Thank you. I look forward to seeing even more! :)
Keep up the good work. Fuckin that wall up!
nice vid, very well spoken and essential thing to concentrate on and get into our muscle memories.
excellent training vid
thank you for making these videos
What style are you using you're quick but if you step in with your guard dropped someone will counter you always imagine a counter response to every technique you throw
Training doesn't mean you always do shadowboxing type of stuff. Sometimes you break techniques down, and train what you need to work on. In this case, I imagined myself being robbed, so the point was to side step and have a strike in. If it were not for the space, that would've been a straight run after that strike. Yes, there's this thing called "imagination" and ""breaking down," which is why, if you read the description, I haven't seen anyone train the way I did. Street applications are always different than those that are for sparring/competitions.
That's true but why not just start next to bag you're still trying to close a lot of distance even for a self defense technique
Reason you don't see that is in most one step or two step sparring the defender doesn't have time to take step towards attacker its normally he's caught by surprise the aggressive starts the attack takes the step for you and strikes or grabs you that's where you use their momentum against them if you step to them they might see it step back then you are volunderable against their counter you have to assume your attackers know as much about martial arts as you do
I'm not saying you're not good just that you should use partner pad up and practice self defense techniques the bag isn't really good for that
Kevin Ruesch Factor in that I'm not in any formal school, that the video showed a small space, and that this is just one scenario. What I'm saying is, broaden the circumstance that I'm in. Factor in that Anton Buekes does something similar, because you're practicing reactionary responses and muscle memory, fighting against the shock factor, and that, again, this is one scenario. It's really true why 100 martial artists are needed to fix a light bulb. 1 will remove it, and the other 99 will say that what the 1 dude's doing is wrong. Broaden your martial scope. Not everything is sparring. That's why it's called a "break down." Please don't make me use caps. on that phrase. Of course I'm not good, that's why I'm training for such circumstance/s. I'm trying to show that you can train outside the ring mentality where you have your hands up on your face by default, giving away that you can fight, when you can deescalate the situation by doing a distractionary strike and then run away. That's what the video is. If you haven't trained that way, I suggest you do, because that's what the video is about. Martial arts I train in? Bagua, FMA, Boxing, Karate. The bag in front of me is only one scenario (really tempting to use caps on my emphasis). One. Scenario. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. It's called a break down for a reason. Break down. Break down. Break down. Break down. Break down. Break down. Break. Down. Break. Down. Break. Down. I'm still wrong, aren't I? Forget it.
One thing that I've noticed with regards to hip use (and shoulder movement, because when you move your hips, your shoulders tend to move, too) is that you need to think of it as a rotation. If your left hip is moving forward, your right hip needs to be moving backwards!
Do you pivot your feet when rotate your hips?
Following the kinetic chain, and depending on the strike you're doing, yes. If you're doing techniques in the pocket and keeping it tight, your rotation would be from the hips upwards, but digging your feet in place to hold yourself in order to keep your force compact.
Wow, impressive!
effective move in matches
That was really good
+TheDemzlyChannel Thanks Duane =)!
Fucking amazing! That's exactly what I do every morning. Please check out my videos bro!
your hip rotation helped me get more power in my hooks and Crosses.. last week in sparring I almost ko my partner ahaha with a left hook thanks man your great
