So excellent - I have Steve Cotter's videos and they are the best physical and kettlebell training methods I have ever come across regardless if you are a martial artist, boxer, athlete, or just someone who strives for better health, physique, strength, flexibility and mental health. He is, hands down, one of the best trainers/ educators/ coaches period.
totally agree
This stretch is amazing! Not only has it eased my shoulder pain, but my knee pain too!
I discovered this guy today and im glad
Excellent shoulder exercise, along with passive hanging it helped me cure my injured shoulder without operation.
Great to hear!
Great vid! Steve was was my Kung fu teacher 20 years ago, and he was a great teacher even then!
Thanks Steve
Thank you!
Happy to help
you are bloody amazing, i am doing my shoulder mobility, trying to come up with my own stuff... watched that video, tried the exercise and it works brilliant!
Thanks for posting this =D! Out of all the Tea cup videos of Ba Gua Zhang, yours is the best for illustration purposes. This greatly helps =D. This can also be done w/ different variations like: both hands at the same time, almost simultaneously (kinda like one hand is behind a bit before the other), &/or doing the opposites (where one hand does the tea cup going outside, while the other hand is doing the tea cup going inside, simultaneously) =3. Faved =D!
Excellent! Gonna share this with my 50+ group exercise class tomorrow. Cuz just about everyone I know over 50 has shoulder probs. Thanks!
oooh this one felt nice! a lot of cracking noices comes from the shoulders :D
i like!
Steve always has the bomb tutorials
Hurts, but feels so good at the same time.
Great stuff, Steve! I forwarded the IKFF email to my Crossfit instructors-we can always use better shoulder mobility, and this exercise works pretty quickly to loosen up the shoulder joint. THANKS!
Mr Cotter, why don't you make Videos on Baguazhang???
At least one or two, since you are a true great Martial Artist and expert on that style!
I have seen you before.
And you were, or are, an amazing Baguaist and teacher Sir!
Thats just great!!!
Great simple demo. Love it.
Great exercise, very effective!! thank you for posting this!
i dont know if u try to keep your eyes on the cup at all times but i was taught this is esential.
we also do it from a deep horse to give the waist an extra workout.
What a cool excercise! Great!
Just Perfect!!! Thanks
brilliant as usual!!!
It feel good on the wrist too. thanks
Steve, you're awesome! Keep doin' your thang! :)
great, great, great! I'm subscribing now!
We want to see cup in hand Steve. Fluid movement awesome
Thanks
Man this guy is cool
@jesusliebtdeinenhund I think for you kerosine is best.
thx for the clip. do you have more exercises for shoulder mobility?
WOW!! im gonig to do this nearly everyday. can this be done as a rotator cuff exercise?
nice...!!
@themole222 yeah id imagine so. Does your shoulder hurt anymore than it did before the dislocation? usually dislocations arent too bad, my friend dislocated his shoulder in a trampoline accident and again at rugby and he doesnt have any trouble at all with it.
I tried this exercise but it's paining little bit in shoulder
💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I tried this with a cup of battery acid. I am suing you.
Ahh, Ba Gua....
Pretty sure nana's china would be gone if I tried that with real teacups.
Any suggestions on progressing this? I am having a tough time keeping my palm up. Do you just do the best you can over and over and trust that eventually you'll be able to do it with a tea cup?
